    There was no greetin...

    There was no greeting at all. Even after I went out and came back, they didn’t even look up or say a word. Thinking this might be how this Hotel operates nowadays, I stayed at another Hotel a few days later. The difference was night and day. Very disappointing. Don’t you have any manuals or staff training?

    How to Get to the Hotel

    The website says it is a 5-minute walk from the “West Exit” of JR Sannomiya Station, but Sannomiya has many lines and can be confusing for first-time visitors. I was traveling via JR, and I think it may be easier to exit from the JR Central Exit, go out to Ikuta Shinmichi, and head toward Motomachi (this is the route I used between the station and the Hotel afterward). The JR Sannomiya West Exit is hard to find unless you go down from the platform, and getting to the Hotel through the complex area under the tracks was difficult to follow even with a map app. The Hotel staff were very kind and made my stay comfortable. The coffee service was much appreciated.

    Conveniently located right in front of Sannomiya Station

    I stayed here on a business trip, and it was very convenient as it’s close to Sannomiya Station, which I used as my base for getting around.

    Breakfast

    I made a Reservation with breakfast included, and it was supposed to start at 7:00 AM. However, when I went to the breakfast venue at 7:00, they were not ready and told me, “We can only offer bread and vegetables right now, so please come back after 7:30.” Since I wanted to leave early, I ate what was available. If breakfast could not be provided as scheduled, I would not have booked a plan with breakfast. As this Hotel is close to the station, I could have had breakfast nearby instead. I would like a refund of the breakfast fee. In the morning, guests plan their schedules around departure times, so please be punctual.

    Quite challenging.

    The overall cleanliness felt lacking. Beyond the age of the building or Room, finding other people's hair on the bed, bathroom, and toilet was unpleasant. The stains from spilled drinks around the elevator buttons were also noticeable. While it is reasonably priced and conveniently located, which makes it hard to complain too much, these are small issues that could easily be addressed to improve the experience.

    The Room is clean.

    There is an elevator from the first floor to the second floor, and it would have been helpful if this information was provided without us having to ask, as it was clearly something we needed. Convenient location near the station, and the Room is clean.

    It smelled musty.

    Some renovations have been made, but there was still a musty smell, and the ceiling had not been cleaned with dust hanging down. It was very disappointing.

    First time use

    The staff were all kind. The Room was spacious and easy to use. However, since it was a twin, we would have liked chairs for two people. It was inconvenient as one person had to sit on the bed when drinking tea.

    Close to Sannomiya, it was nice.

    I made a mistake with the reservation date and noticed it about 10 days prior. Since it was the weekend, I couldn't find a twin room around Sannomiya anywhere, but I was relieved to secure the last available room here. It was very close to Sannomiya Station, and I enjoyed walking to Motomachi and the Marine Tower for sightseeing. The limousine bus stop was also nearby, which was convenient.

    The color of the counter in the Room is cute, and I had a comfortable stay.

    I used it with a friend from Hiroshima. Even without a bathtub, I was satisfied with the comfortable room. The color of the pot in the room is also cute. Although we are both older, we enjoyed talking about how such colors lift our spirits, and I was glad I made the reservation. I was also satisfied with the price. The complimentary coffee and donuts were a nice touch. I would like to use it again when I come to Kobe.

    Appreciation for the convenient access

    I used it for a business trip. The Room was clean and had a large desk where I could work on my PC, and the bed was large and comfortable. Although it was in a bustling downtown area near the station, starting with a convenience store nearby, I felt the city's elegance in its moderate liveliness, unlike Tokyo. The Hotel itself did not have much appeal in terms of dining, but I enjoyed the convenience of the surrounding shops and the ability to have ice cream at the Baskin-Robbins in front of the Hotel, which was open late at night.
