    I had a pleasant stay.

    The Room was tidy, the bathroom was spacious, and there was also a sofa, so I had a very comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet was also delicious.

    It was a good Hotel.

    The Hotel is in a great location, and the Room was very spacious, making our stay comfortable. Akita Station is also nearby, and the Akita Citizen’s Market, where you can shop, is just a short walk away, which made our stay enjoyable. If we have the opportunity, we would definitely like to stay at this Hotel again.

    Reliable Richmond Quality

    They offer a wide variety of bath additives, and it’s thoughtful that they provide flyers with recommendations for great local shops. The Akita specialty for breakfast, shottsuru ochazuke, is also delicious.

    Conveniently located near the station, with many restaurants and a castle ruins park nearby.

    Opened in 2009, the Facility is modern. The guest rooms are standard. There is no large public bath. The restaurant is bright and clean but slightly small, with a modest selection of buffet items. Local dishes such as junsai and damako soup are featured. It also operates in the evening, offering local sake and more. If you're an early riser, a morning walk at Senshu Park is recommended. Nearby Akita Prefecture Product Plaza offers a variety of local sake, sweets, and foods, while Akita Citizen's Market frequented by locals is great for souvenir shopping. Strengths include its location, cleanliness, and management quality.

    Excellent

    I always stay at this Hotel during my business trips to Akita. It is conveniently located near the station, close to bars, and perfect for a walk in the park behind it. The Room was spacious, well-cleaned, and the staff provided excellent service, making for a pleasant stay.

    I will choose this place again next time.

    The room is not very spacious, but the bed is relatively large and comfortable, with all necessary amenities provided. The cleanliness is excellent, and there are no issues like the smell of shower curtains that can sometimes be a concern even in more expensive hotels. There is slight discoloration in the small gap between the bathtub and wall, but it’s not bothersome. I chose this place based on other reviews, and indeed, the breakfast was delicious. At first glance, it seems like an ordinary Japanese-style buffet with a limited selection of dishes; however, each item had a comforting taste that left me satisfied. The ladies guiding guests at the buffet were cheerful and attentive to details, which uplifted my mood. I would definitely choose this hotel again when visiting Akita!

    Consistent Quality

    Stayed for two nights with family. The front desk always greeted us warmly, showcasing the high level of service. The Room and amenities were just right, making for a comfortable stay. Thank you! Breakfast included local Akita specialties and was absolutely delicious. Richmond Hotel's breakfast always impresses me, but at this Hotel, the restaurant staff's greetings were exceptional, allowing us to start our day pleasantly. I would love to stay here again when visiting Akita.

    The service is excellent.

    I have stayed at Richmond Hotel Akita several times, but this is my first time writing a review. Each time I stay, the front desk staff and parking attendants may not be the same, but their customer service is always excellent. As a former hotel front desk staff member myself, I might have a more critical eye than the average person (w?), but their responses to issues and answers to questions are outstanding no matter who you ask. If I were their manager, everyone would get a raise! My child also loves Richmond Hotel Akita and prefers it over nearby hotels (even those with live kitchen breakfasts on the top floor). Whenever we return to Akita, they always want to stay here. We look forward to staying again when we visit Akita next time!

    Breakfast is also delicious.

    I stayed here for a business trip. It is within walking distance from the station, and my Room was upgraded, possibly because it was a weekday, allowing me to enjoy a spacious stay. The bathroom was also spacious enough for one person to use comfortably. The breakfast featured local specialties, and although I don't usually eat much in the morning, the dashi chazuke was so delicious that I finished it all. I will definitely stay here again on my next business trip.

    We stayed here on the second night of our trip around Tohoku. The room was new, clean, and very comfortable. Since our stay was short, we booked a Compact Twin Room expecting it to be small, but the room was spacious enough with only slightly narrower beds. We could easily open two large suitcases without any trouble. The lobby had a variety of bath salts to choose from, which made it fun to pick our favorites. There were also decaf tea bags available, allowing us to enjoy tea at night without worrying about caffeine—this was a nice touch! Thank you for your hospitality during our stay.

    I had a relaxing and comfortable stay.

    I have visited Akita several times for trips, cherry blossom viewing, and festivals, and I always stay at the reliable and friendly Richmond. This time, I was glad to find an available Room at the last minute. Thank you for providing me with a spacious Room. On the day of my visit, I was tired and wet from sightseeing in the rain, but I was able to relax in the comfortable Room and completely recover from my fatigue. I will definitely stay here again when visiting Akita.

    The bed was large and allowed for a relaxing stay. Also, the front desk staff were very pleasant. However, I was concerned about the loud noise when the Room door closed.

    If you're unsure about a Hotel, this is the perfect choice.

    Thank you very much for your hospitality. We stayed as a group of three adults for my child's university entrance exam, and it was rare to find a room accommodating three people, making this Hotel quite valuable. The space per person felt slightly small, but it was perfectly comfortable for women to sleep without any issues. The details were clearly mentioned in the instructions, and with breakfast included for three people at this price, there’s nothing to complain about. Despite our late-night arrival, the staff provided courteous service. Our one-box car could also be parked in the on-site multi-story parking lot. Additionally, with an 11:00 AM checkout time, we were able to prepare leisurely in the morning. If possible, having ice available during breakfast would have been nice. Also, since the road in front of the Hotel is a large one-way street, we got quite lost after leaving the Hotel. The route from the bridge area to reach the Hotel and vice versa is quite challenging for first-timers (navigating right-turns and left-turn lanes across three lanes can be difficult). Moreover, while heading from the station towards the bridge area straight ahead seemed like an option at first glance but turned out not to be straightforward—this caused significant confusion. It would be helpful if you could consider creating a simple map highlighting landmarks or areas prone to mistakes along these routes. Both front desk staff and restaurant staff provided excellent service; breakfast was delicious with local Akita specialties available as well! It’s also impressive that unused breakfast tickets can apparently be used as shopping vouchers at nearby souvenir shops—very thoughtful! I’d love to stay here again when visiting Akita!

    We were treated very well!

    It was conveniently located near Akita Station, as well as shops and markets offering morning ramen. The Hotel staff were all kind, and when I consulted them about sending a package at checkout, they responded very politely and helpfully. I was in a hurry because of the bus departure time, but they quickly prepared packing materials and tape for the shipment, which was really helpful. It was a stay filled with gratitude; thank you very much.

    The room, bathroom, ...

    The room, bathroom, and toilet were clean. It was nice to be able to use it at an affordable price. I also enjoyed the delicious breakfast. I think the service that allows you to use the breakfast voucher as a gift certificate to purchase souvenirs if you don't use it for breakfast is wonderful.

    Comfortable Hotel

    Stayed for one night for sightseeing. I appreciated being allowed to check in early. The Room was on the top floor with a great view and was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, and the staff were very kind.

    Room Upgrade

    The reservation was for a single room, but they changed it to a slightly larger twin room at no extra charge due to availability. It is conveniently located less than a 10-minute walk from Akita Station. The customer service was pleasant, and I was able to use the facilities comfortably.

    We will stay here again.

    Just a 7-minute walk straight from Akita Station. The Facility is well equipped, and there is a wide selection of toiletries. The face masks were especially good—fragrance-free and moisturizing. Breakfast was fairly average; the cooked dishes and pickles were on the salty side, below expectations.

    There is no coordination.

    I lined up 10 minutes before the breakfast time at 6:30 a.m., and the seats quickly filled up, possibly because there were many elderly guests. As a result, there was a wait before 7 a.m. When I spoke to an employee, they mentioned that a group had come in, causing a concentration. After the meal, I asked at the front desk, and they had forgotten to inform the breakfast venue staff, which added to the confusion. Business Hotels can only differentiate themselves with room, breakfast, and front desk services. The meal itself included Akita's local cuisine and was satisfying, but it was unfortunate that there was confusion due to a communication error on the hotel's part. Therefore, I rated the meal 2 points. With the increasing number of chain Business Hotels, I hope they will do their best.

    The room is relatively spacious.

    The Comfort Twin room we stayed in, close to the station, was spacious for a city/business hotel. It's clear that efficiency (cost) is a priority. I was concerned about the room-drying smell from the shower curtain. For a hotel of this size, the breakfast buffet area was small, with only two staff members, and compared to the hotels we stayed at in Hakodate, Aomori, and Morioka, which were in the same class and price range of around 20,000 yen, the breakfast offerings were slightly disappointing.

    The front desk staff were very accommodating. Cold tea at the breakfast buffet.

    Overall, it was an easy place to stay, and the front desk staff provided excellent service by confirming my full name after I mistakenly gave the wrong room number. I had the rather expensive breakfast buffet. It was delicious, but it would have been even better if there was cold tea available!

    Breakfast venue

    I understand that the air conditioning in the breakfast area was broken, which is an issue with the facility's equipment and cannot be helped. However, I think the hotel needs to show a bit more willingness to accommodate guests in such situations.
