    This time I was on a...

    This time I was on a business trip with Okayama as a stopover, so my stay was short and I didn’t get to see much, but the Room was clean. The lobby staff also greeted me with a smile, which made me feel welcome. Since it was my first visit, the entrance was a bit hard to find at first—I ended up going in through the Bic Camera entrance and wandered around. Next time should be fine.

    Everything is just a short distance away.

    Even if you don’t pay much attention to it, business trips often end up concentrated in certain cities or areas. Last year, I found myself in Kobe so often that I even ended up with a favorite spot in the city (laughs). This year, for some reason, I’ve been repeatedly sent to Okayama and Kurashiki without really knowing why. So this time, this is the Accommodation we chose. I had made a Reservation for a Superior Twin Room, but it seems the dates coincided with high business demand and many solo guests. Since my wife and I were staying together, we were upgraded to a Premium Room. The Hotel stands at an intersection right in front of the station, and we were given a corner room facing the recessed section of the building. The windows stretch surprisingly far from left to right, offering an outstanding station-front view that makes you feel like a local lord surveying your domain. Because of the irregular layout there are some awkward spaces here and there, but since it was a complimentary upgrade, it’s something to be grateful for. The bathroom was also upgraded from a standard unit bath to one with a separate washing area, making for a much more relaxing bath time. After sleeping soundly in the spacious Room, it was time for breakfast. Served on the reception floor, it features many small dishes; arranging them on the provided tray makes for an especially photogenic spread. Of course, there are also local specialties such as shrimp rice. The after-meal coffee is properly drip-brewed as well. As my wife and I enjoyed everything—saying “so good” over and over—I happened to glance out the window and realized the view was exactly the same as from our Room (laughs). Since our Room was upgraded this time, my overall impression may be slightly biased upward—but with direct underground access connecting to the station area shopping street (Ichibangai), Takashimaya, and AEON Mall among others, this is an extremely convenient property with plenty of advantages. It’s easy to recommend as one option for an Okayama stay.

    Glad I stayed here!

    The location was convenient, being close to the station. The Room was not new but had a clean and tidy feel. However, the small single window gave a slightly cramped impression. There was only one outlet next to the bed, which felt inconvenient. All the staff were very friendly and made my stay pleasant. I would like to use this Hotel again when visiting Okayama.

    Okayama Trip

    I stayed for one night. The location was convenient as it was close to the station. However, I didn't notice the ON/OFF switch of the Room refrigerator, which caused my drinks and cream-filled sweets to spoil. It might have been my oversight, but I wish the front desk had informed me about it. Also, the step from the bathroom was quite high, making it a bit inconvenient. Apologies for pointing out these issues. If improvements are made, I would like to stay again in the future as I occasionally visit Okayama.

    Directly connected to the station, department store, car rental, and dining area. Most nearby restaurants are also accessible via underground pathways. For those familiar with the process, check-in and check-out can be done quickly at self-service machines. Currency exchange is available as well. A laundry room is provided, allowing you to pack fewer clothes. The front desk staff are very kind and welcoming.

    Reservation for a Universal Twin Room, spacious room More than enough space for two people to stay Overall, the hotel gives a clean impression Amenities are available at the front desk (no skincare products like lotion) Conveniently located near the station Luggage can be stored after check-out, making it easy to pick up before heading home due to its proximity to the station—very convenient for sightseeing Issues encountered: - Although directly connected to an underground passage, there were no clear directions provided. Got lost in the underground and couldn’t find an elevator. Ended up going outside in the rain. - Limited power outlets overall; only one near the bed. If staying as a pair, only one person can charge their device while lying down. No USB ports available either, but charging cables are provided instead. - The bathroom has an odor—not too strong but noticeable enough that sensitive individuals might find it uncomfortable. - The room’s window is located only by the entrance area; no natural light reaches areas like the bed. While fine at night, this could be challenging for those who struggle with mornings. Overall impression: A hotel that matches its price point well. The bathroom odor and window placement may vary depending on the room type and might not apply universally as feedback.

    The location and water flow are excellent.

    Directly connected to the underground passage in front of the station, the windows are double-glazed for a quiet interior. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and Korakuen and Okayama Castle are within walking distance (buses and trams are also available), making it an excellent location for both business and sightseeing. Additionally, there is usually a slight time lag for hot water in the sink and shower, but not here, which is wonderful.

    As a Business Hotel, it meets the standard. The Room and bath are getting a bit old, but they were clean. The female staff at check-in and check-out were very kind and pleasant.

    I have been visiting Okayama every year for over 20 years. This Hotel has good access to Okayama Station, and I think I have used it more than 10 times. The service at the front desk is always good. I am grateful to the female staff who handled the trouble on the early morning of October 29th with a smile and without any displeasure. Thanks to her, I was able to return home in a pleasant travel mood. I would like to use it again. Thank you very much.

    Ideal for business trips

    I used it for a business trip. It's convenient for buying batteries and cables as it's in a building with Bic Camera in front of the station, and there's a convenience store nearby. Even if it rains, there's an underground mall, so it's very convenient. I had a taxi called for me, and they responded very politely. I had to wait a bit at check-in, but during that time, I observed the staff interacting with visitors. They were smiling and spoke English well, which made me feel they were well-trained. The Room was clean, and the speed and amount of hot water were perfect. The disappointing part was breakfast. It's held in an izakaya in the same building, so it's understandable, but it's dark. The private rooms with sunken kotatsu are even darker, making the refreshing feeling of waking up early in the morning suddenly feel gloomy. It's a system where you choose a plate, but there was almost no explanation, so I didn't know I had to take salad separately and just waited until the main plate arrived. The step between the unit bath and the floor is quite significant, so like others, you need to be careful not to trip. Other than these, it was very good, so I would like to use it again on my next business trip (though I might skip breakfast).
