    It was comfortable!

    Despite being very close to Susukino, a major entertainment district, the property was very quiet inside, and the hospitality and convenience were excellent. This will be my regular Accommodation in Sapporo. It was a very pleasant stay. Just one thing: The screw on the lower holder for the bathroom shower head was loose and coming off, so I couldn’t use it. I hope it can be repaired as soon as possible.

    Reliable Richmond quality, and even more exceptional.

    I have stayed at over 10 hotels in Sapporo, and as some long-established accommodations I frequented over the years have closed, I decided to try Richmond Hotel in Sapporo for the first time as my new go-to accommodation. Having used various Richmond Hotels across the whole country for work, I feel they rarely disappoint. The consistent quality of Richmond Hotels ensures there are no dissatisfying experiences, and this was especially true for Richmond Hotel Sapporo Odori—it exceeded my expectations. First of all, its location in Tanukikoji is unbeatable. It allows you to fully enjoy Sapporo's bustling downtown area. Most notably, the breakfast here is exceptional. Both Japanese and Western dishes are offered with a decent variety, but more importantly, their quality is outstanding—truly satisfying. While Hakodate hotels are known for their "breakfast wars," which raised breakfast standards significantly across many accommodations there, this hotel's breakfast quality rivals them despite having fewer options. Additionally, the staff at both the front desk and breakfast venue provide excellent service with great hospitality—true to what one would expect from a Richmond Hotel. Although IKYU.com reviews were not particularly high when I checked (likely due to older reviews before renovations), this hotel now ranks among the top-class accommodations within all Richmond Hotels nationwide. It will undoubtedly achieve top ratings on IKYU.com in due time!

    Delicious breakfast

    I have tried breakfast at various hotels, but offering tempura in the morning is unique and sets this Hotel apart from others, so I hope it continues. While the variety is not extensive, each item is of high quality and delicious. There were two types of sushi toppings; the raw shrimp was fresh and tasty, and the medium fatty tuna was on par with that of conveyor belt sushi restaurants, which was impressive. By consistently maintaining this level of service, more guests will surely come, making it a standout feature among Richmond Hotels.

    Perfect for sightseeing in Sapporo!

    I used this accommodation for the first time during my stay in Sapporo on a trip to Hokkaido after 20 years. The hotel does not have any particularly unique features, but it is well-located, the facilities are clean, and I had a very comfortable stay. I would definitely like to stay here again next time.

    It was convenient and great.

    It had been a while since my last stay due to timing, but it was as great as ever. This time, I had the chance to try breakfast for the first time. The meal was luxurious, especially the seafood; the salmon roe and grilled fish were delicious. The tempura was freshly fried and also very tasty. The room was quiet and comfortable.

    Affordable, spacious, and conveniently located!

    I occasionally stay at Richmond, but this accommodation had incredibly spacious and comfortable rooms! Even though it was a twin room for single use, it was extremely spacious and clean—absolutely satisfying! I definitely want to stay here again.

    Great!!

    Stayed for two nights and indulged in a Twin Room (the price was only slightly higher than a Single). It was fantastic. After sightseeing, I relaxed in the room. After meals, I relaxed in the room... I had a slow and peaceful stay. The room was clean, and even with two people, it wouldn’t feel cramped. If you don’t mind the unit bath... highly recommended! Just one thing... You receive a ticket for one free drink (alcohol), but it’s “lounge only,” so taking it back to the room wasn’t allowed. It would have been even better if we could take something like coffee or tea back to the room. That said, all staff members were smiling and made my stay very pleasant. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Luxurious breakfast!

    I recently stayed at the accommodation for a private trip after a long time. The purpose of this stay was to enjoy the newly renovated breakfast buffet. The room was comfortable, but the breakfast buffet was truly excellent. There was a live kitchen offering fresh sashimi, soup curry, freshly fried tempura, and the highlight—steaming hot miso ramen. I genuinely felt that one night wasn't enough to fully enjoy it. Next time, I plan to stay for about two nights to indulge in the breakfast buffet even more. It was an extremely satisfying stay.

    Arranged through an acquaintance

    This time, I made a reservation for this hotel with a smoking room on behalf of an acquaintance. Above all, the location is excellent, and the breakfast was delicious. If you're looking for a smoking room in the Susukino-Tanukikoji Shopping Street area, this is recommended.

    I am a repeat guest and stayed in a Single Room for 3 nights. The room was convenient to use, the air conditioning worked well, and the WiFi speed was reliable, making my stay comfortable. There is a Don Quijote store, a convenience store, and an affordable steakhouse across the street, which made shopping and dining very convenient. For breakfast, I enjoyed the sushi, tempura, and DIY seafood rice bowl. However, having the same menu for three consecutive days can get repetitive. As a personal preference, I would appreciate it if there were one daily special item on the menu. Additionally, I would have liked regular miso soup or other soups like potage as well as regular orange juice. Overall, I am satisfied with my stay and plan to visit again next month!

    I had a comfortable stay. One suggestion: it would be great if sparkling wine or other wines were offered for free at breakfast. (I wouldn’t mind if it’s paid, but I’d be happy if draft beer could be ordered.)

    I had a comfortable stay.

    I am a repeat guest. Although it is a bit far, I was able to walk from Sapporo Station through the underground walkway. I stayed in a single room for 2 nights. The room is 16 square meters but did not feel cramped, and I had a comfortable stay. The breakfast was delicious; I enjoyed sushi and tempura. Personally, I found the sauce for the pork bowl a bit too sweet. This time, regular orange juice was available, which was nice. The hotel is conveniently located across from Seven-Eleven and Don Quijote for shopping needs. I plan to stay again next month, so thank you in advance!

    One of the worst hotels in recent years.

    I am dissatisfied and will never stay at this accommodation again. This time, I have complaints about three staff members. First, the person who appeared to be the head chef standing imposingly in the breakfast area. When I asked about the pho on the menu, "Do I make this myself?" they responded condescendingly with "Shall I make it for you?" There was no indication whether guests should prepare it themselves or if staff would assist. Wouldn't a normal response be something like "I'll prepare it for you"? The imposing stance alone was intimidating, and combined with that tone of voice, it was unacceptable. Second, a hall staff member. I came looking forward to orange juice as advertised on your website and expected it to be a recommended item for breakfast. However, when I went to get some, all they said was "We don't have any." It had been available earlier and this happened before last orders were taken—plus it's supposed to be a buffet! If it's unavailable now that's one thing—but does that mean there won't even be any tomorrow morning? It's listed on your website after all. Lastly, the manager in charge during my stay (as apparently the general manager was off-duty). When addressing my concerns with them directly—they only responded with “Yes” repeatedly without offering any resolution or action plan regarding these issues whatsoever! This lackluster handling made me feel like saying “Forget about it!” Their inability as someone responsible is laughable.     Ideal for those prioritizing convenience near the downtown area.

    We stayed for a 4-night multiple night stay. It had been over 10 years since our last visit, but the room had been renovated and was very clean. The accommodation is adjacent to Tanukikoji, making it extremely convenient to access Susukino and Odori. This time, we had dinner and drinks scheduled in Susukino every evening, so it was easy to return on foot even late at night. Cleaning is done once every three days, but linen changes can be set in advance via the TV screen. For this stay, we communicated our requests directly to the front desk for assistance. We were able to spend four days in a calm environment. Thank you very much!

    I stayed one night in the Premier Corner Double Room. The location was convenient for shopping and dining as it faced Tanukikoji. The Premier Corner Double Room, at 25.9 square meters, was spacious enough for single occupancy. There was plenty of space to spread out luggage, and the large TV (probably 62 inches) was a nice touch. However, it was disappointing that the bathroom was a unit bath. Although there were no complimentary water bottles, I appreciated that bath salts and drip coffee were available at the amenity bar on the first floor. Breakfast included delicious options like tempura and sushi, which were very satisfying. It would have been perfect if steak had been available as well. The whole orange juice looked interesting but seemed to have a small serving size. Overall, I found it cost-effective and satisfying. I’ve already made an additional reservation for next month!

    I stayed with my wife when we went to the snow festival. The location was perfect and there was nothing to complain about, but the next morning at breakfast, we didn't have breakfast tickets and couldn't enter the breakfast venue, so we had to go back and forth to the front desk several times to confirm. We were supposed to have a reservation with breakfast included, but since we didn't receive the tickets at check-in, we confirmed again at the front desk, and they hurriedly handed over the tickets in a flustered manner. At check-in, there were two staff members wearing training badges, but during busy periods, experienced staff should be stationed. Delicious meals can be ruined.

    This is a highly satisfying Hotel.

    The staff, whether working at the front desk, restaurant, or kitchen, are bright, energetic, and provide excellent service with a smile. I had a pleasant experience. Additionally, while many Hotels offer a variety of Hokkaido specialties for breakfast, the quality of the dishes here is high and very satisfying. If I may point out, the salad at the buffet is a bit difficult to serve, and while Room cleaning is on a request basis, it might be better to announce that there is a time limit for requests. That said, the staff were flexible even beyond the time limit, so there was no issue. The location is also great, and it is a wonderful Hotel. I will definitely use it again.

    The new Room was clean. Since it was on a higher floor, the shower temperature kept alternating between hot and the original temperature. At check-in, I requested a towel exchange without room cleaning, but it wasn't delivered, so I asked the front desk to bring it. However, the Richmond Hotel is convenient and comfortable.
