  I was satisfied.

  Surrounded by nature, the Room was very clean. Thank you to the staff for the courteous and thorough explanations. There was a private dog run and other places to walk, so our dog was happy too. We would like to stay again.

  Not recommended.

  I had high expectations because the Reviews were very good (in hindsight, perhaps the negative Reviews had been removed), but there were so many unacceptable issues that I’m posting for the first time. First, I chose this Accommodation because I was looking for a place with a private dog run with natural grass attached to the Room. However, it was completely different from the natural grass shown in the photos—it was a dirt yard scattered with rocks. The footing was poor and my dog kept tripping on stones, so we couldn’t use it at all. On the other hand, there seemed to be Rooms with beautiful natural grass, so is it just luck? Paying the same price for such a difference—why is that? Second, the cleanliness was terrible. It made me question whether cleaning is actually being done. Maybe it can’t be helped since it’s in the mountains, but there were dead insects scattered all over the Room. Even if it happened during our stay that would be one thing, but why were there so many right after check-in? There were also dirty shoe prints and hair everywhere. The worst part was when I pulled back the bedding and found hair and dead insects underneath. We were told we couldn’t move to another Room, so we had to start by cleaning ourselves with a vacuum cleaner and lint rollers for pets. Since this trip was for an anniversary celebration, I felt truly disappointed and sad. The bath and sauna are wonderful, so I hope you will put more effort into cleaning and maintaining your Facilities. During seasons when insects are common—and especially if you dislike bugs or are very particular about cleanliness—I do not recommend this place. Also, if you’re traveling with a dog, depending on luck you may not be able to use the private dog run attached to your Room at all.

  Thank you very much for staying at Angel Forest Nakaizu. We also extend our deepest apologies that, despite choosing our Facility for your important anniversary trip, we fell far short of your expectations. First, regarding the dog run, we sincerely apologize that it differed from the natural grass condition you had envisioned at the time of your Reservation and that the stony ground prevented your dog from using it safely. As the location and surrounding environment vary by building, conditions may differ between dog runs; however, we take very seriously that this resulted in dissatisfaction and a sense of unfairness. We will use your feedback as a reference to review our maintenance practices and how we provide information to guests. We also sincerely apologize for the inadequate cleaning. We deeply regret that we showed you to a Room in an unacceptable condition, including insect remains, hair, shoe-like footprints indoors, and even stains inside the bedding. That you had to clean it yourself during what should have been an enjoyable trip is inexcusable. We are truly sorry that we were unable to arrange a Room change during your stay as well, and that we could not provide you with a comfortable stay. We will share your comments with our housekeeping department and operations staff and work to improve cleaning quality and strengthen our final inspection procedures. Even so, thank you very much for your kind words about the bath and sauna. We again apologize that we were unable to provide an environment where you could fully enjoy these amenities throughout the entire Facility as intended. Thank you for taking the time to share your honest feedback. We will take it seriously and strive to make improvements. Once again, please accept our sincere apologies for causing disappointment on such an important anniversary trip.

  The best 3-night, 4-day stay

  We stayed with our pet, and the Facility and surroundings were very well maintained, so we felt at ease and had a comfortable stay. The Deluxe Room was spacious and spotless, allowing us to relax even with our dog. In addition to unwinding in the open-air bath and sauna, there is also a dog run on-site, so our dog could have plenty of fun too—we were very satisfied. Another highlight is that you can enjoy BBQ as well, making it easy to spend a fulfilling time without leaving the Accommodation. Meals are also available for takeout; they looked stylish and tasted excellent, letting us enjoy a special dining experience. This is an Accommodation I highly recommend for anyone who wants to enjoy an extraordinary getaway with their pet. We would love to stay again.
