    Dogs and cats too

    It seems that any number of large dogs and cats are allowed to stay. However, they are limited to the first floor only and are not allowed upstairs to the second-floor bedrooms or bathroom. In our case, since our dog was still a puppy and couldn’t sleep alone, I laid out the futon that was in the first-floor closet and slept nearby. The Facility is spacious and clean, with about half of an older building renovated (I think?), but we were a bit bothered by insects. They probably come in through windows that haven’t been renovated. There were especially many insects in the bathroom, which I didn’t like. I was also surprised to see a beetle there. Do they open the window when cleaning? You can see Mt. Fuji and the location is good. Recommended for those who aren’t bothered by insects!

    A Trip for a Couple with Two Small Dogs

    This was a very satisfying Accommodation for staying with our dog. - For dog walks, Oishi Park is just a 1-minute walk away, and it was perfect in the morning and evening after the tourists were gone. There is also an on-site dog run. - We usually choose a rental villa with an Onsen, but even without one, the water quality seemed excellent—I didn’t need body lotion, and I relaxed in the large bathtub again and again. - Unfortunately, it rained every few hours due to the weather, but the chairs placed in the earthen-floored entryway were very comfortable. My husband enjoyed beer and highballs, while I finished reading a book I brought along. - The bed was also very comfortable—I slept a total of 20 hours over three days. - There were various BALMUDA appliances, and it was fun cooking dinner using a hot plate for the first time. - We enjoyed breakfast delivered from a nearby restaurant both times; it was delicious. - The location is extremely convenient for both shopping and sightseeing. - It helped us recover from work fatigue and feel refreshed—this is exactly the kind of vacation we like.

    Learning never ends, no matter how old you are...

    This stay taught us a lot. We chose this property based on the photos, Reviews, and location on this site. The exterior and the entryway were exactly as shown in the photos, but everything beyond that was unlike anything we had experienced before. The interior felt like it might still be under renovation, and parts of the ceiling were low. There were several cat towers (about 3–4), and even though we are not particularly tall, there were moments when we could have hit our heads. It is along a main road with a bus stop in front, so it has an open layout, but we rarely felt comfortable leaving the front curtains fully open. There are no curtains on one side of the first floor, which made us worry about being visible from outside. The kitchen lighting was quite dim, so we had to be careful while cooking. Appliances, kitchenware, and amenities were well provided. The manager was kind and gave us helpful information about nearby supermarkets and other places. We went hoping to relax at a slow pace, but since it was a house where we needed to be cautious in various ways throughout our stay, we felt relieved once we got home. This experience taught us that we should have been more careful when choosing a place to rent.

    A private whole-house rental where you can relax

    I stayed here with my dog and was able to relax and unwind. The bathroom was spacious, and the stylish lighting created a cozy atmosphere. If I could make one request, having relaxing furniture such as a sofa or a Yogibo on the first floor would make the stay even more comfortable. Also, even when the front door was closed, there was a slight gap that allowed insects to get in, which concerned me a bit. Other than that, I was very satisfied and truly enjoyed a comfortable stay with my dog.

    We stayed as a famil...

    We stayed as a family of four. ICHI felt wonderfully open and spacious throughout. From the garden to the back of the Room and into the living area, everything was cohesive and incredibly roomy. For dinner, we picked up delicious local ingredients from Tabi no Eki and Sasaki Meat Shop and had a yakiniku barbecue party. We also enjoyed local beer, wine, ice cream, and more in a lively, fun atmosphere. In May with its fresh greenery, we kept the windows wide open in both the Room and the bath, and we could see Mt. Fuji all the time. Everything was so soothing. Waking up in bed in the morning, Mt. Fuji filled our view. Right in front is Oishi Park and Oishi Terrace, and there are many other attractive places around Lake Kawaguchi—sightseeing spots as well as roadside stations—so it would be wonderful to stay for several days. We didn’t travel with animals this time, but this space was truly amazing. Although it’s usually the first floor where pets also spend time, it felt very clean and we were able to stay very comfortably. The kitchen was well equipped with modern cooking appliances as well as plenty of cutlery. The large bath towels, plentiful towels, and amenities were excellent. Using a pellet stove for the first time was safe, warm, and comfortable. We had such a wonderful time. Thank you very much for everything.

    The Ultimate Stay-In Retreat

    My spouse and I stayed here with our cat. This time, rather than focusing on sightseeing, we wanted to relax in the Room—and this Accommodation was a perfect fit for that kind of stay. Since it was our cat’s first time in a new place, he was understandably cautious at first. However, thanks to the catwalks installed throughout the interior, we could watch him gradually get used to the environment while observing from higher spots. As time passed, he started moving freely around the first floor, going back and forth between the catwalks and cat tower. By the end of our stay, he was completely relaxed, which left a strong impression on us. Seeing him settle in so well allowed us to unwind too, with the same sense of comfort as being at home. The interior has a calm atmosphere and is very comfortable, and being able to fully enjoy views of Mt. Fuji without leaving the Room is another highlight. Even staying indoors felt deeply satisfying—time seemed to pass slowly in a wonderfully luxurious way. The view of Mt. Fuji from the bathroom was especially memorable; spending quiet moments simply taking in the scenery was truly soothing. For both dinner and breakfast we brought our own ingredients and used the kitchen. The Facility is well equipped and easy to use, and being able to eat at our own pace was especially appreciated when traveling with a cat. We also loved how refined everything felt down to the smallest details—such as having BALMUDA appliances throughout—which really enhanced our overall satisfaction. Although Oishi Park and Hana Terrace are very close by, we intentionally spent most of our time “staying in” this trip. Even so, it was more than satisfying—in fact, one night wasn’t enough, and we wished we had booked two nights instead. I highly recommend this Accommodation for anyone who wants to relax comfortably with their cat without feeling rushed or stressed. Next time we’d love to come back for a Multiple Night Stay and take it even slower.

    For our first trip t...

    For our first trip to Lake Kawaguchi, we chose ICHI because it’s just a 30-second walk to Oishi Park and Hana Terrace, offers views of Mt. Fuji, and lets you experience a nostalgic traditional house blended with modern design. Our energetic son seemed excited too—he took the large bath again and again and enjoyed exploring the house with the cat. Since it faces a tourist area, there is some foot traffic, but it didn’t bother us at all. We put the cat in its crate, opened the sliding doors wide, and enjoyed the Mt. Fuji view—it was such a refreshing time. From sunset into the evening, we slightly opened the entrance door and closed the curtains, letting a breeze through for a quiet, comfortable time. Watching the cat run freely along the catwalks while we lay on mattresses below is something we’d love to recreate at home. For dinner, we brought our own ingredients and table. With the weather getting nicer outside, we used the BALMUDA hot plate just outside on the earthen-floor area and enjoyed a BBQ-style meal. We could still see snow on Mt. Fuji against Lake Kawaguchi’s fresh greenery. We relaxed in the bath, made the bed into a king size setup, and were truly satisfied. This has become an Accommodation we definitely want to visit again. Thank you very much!

    I stayed at ICHI En ...

    I stayed at ICHI En with my dog. The calm space is complemented by tasteful, understated interior design. Because it isn’t overly decorated, it feels refined and comfortable—perfect for adults to relax. Since Hana Terrace is right in front of the building, it can be lively, but the property is thoughtfully designed so even guests with dogs who are concerned about being seen can stay comfortably and feel at ease. When you open the glass door in the earthen-floored entryway, the doma and dog run connect as one seamless space. The curtains are beautiful as well—it was a first-time experience for me. From late afternoon onward, the quiet time felt truly luxurious. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to step away from everyday life and spend unhurried, restorative time with their dog at the foot of Mt. Fuji.

    Mount Fuji with Your Beloved Dog

    My spouse, our dog, and I stayed here. The view of Mt. Fuji right in front of us was truly breathtaking, and we were able to spend a very special time. The dog run is not flat and has a slope, so our dog happily ran around. We could also enjoy cherry blossom viewing on the grounds, which made for a luxurious stay. The view of Mt. Fuji from the bathroom was outstanding as well. We also enjoyed the dinner delivery service at the Accommodation—relaxing and savoring delicious food at our own pace. Next time, we would like to stay during the autumn foliage season. Thank you very much.

    A Luxurious Moment

    We stayed here as a couple this time. This Accommodation had caught our eye since it first opened. Even though we don’t have a pet, we wondered if we could stay, so we contacted them—and they kindly replied, “Of course,” and gave us lots of helpful information with great care. The Accommodation was even more wonderful in person than it looked on the website. It was spacious and open, clean and calming, and we were able to truly relax as time passed quietly and slowly. We also loved the Mt. Fuji view we had been looking forward to—it was spectacular. Seeing Mt. Fuji from the bath, and waking up early to see it in the morning, made it feel incredibly close—absolutely amazing. We chose not to include meals this time, but everything looked thoughtfully prepared and very delicious, so next time we’d love to stay again with our whole family and add meals as well. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us—we truly enjoyed a luxurious stay.

    We were extremely satisfied.

    We stayed here with four friends. To sum it up, it was an even more satisfying stay than we expected. The view of Mt. Fuji that greets you right after arrival is truly stunning, and we loved how it changes throughout the day. Mt. Fuji in the crisp morning air was especially unforgettable. The entire Facility was very clean and unified in a calm, relaxing atmosphere, so we were able to unwind naturally even as a group of friends. The sense of privacy is well maintained, which also made it great to spend time without worrying about others around us. We didn’t bring any pets this time, but the space felt generous throughout—including the dog run and outdoor areas—and the design creates an open, airy feeling wherever you are. We think it’s a very appealing Facility even for guests without pets. Highly recommended for anyone looking to spend a slightly special time with friends. We’d love to visit again in a different season.

    In late autumn, I visited Lake Kawaguchi and saw ICHI, which made me want to stay there—and my dream came true. The bath with a view of Mt. Fuji was amazing, and I ended up soaking for a long time. The scent of wood, the provided tableware, bedding, appliances, the warm stove—all created a cozy atmosphere where even our little family members seemed relaxed and happy. The owner's thoughtful touches were evident throughout this accommodation, allowing us to enjoy a wonderful time. Just one minute to Oishi Park! We woke up early in the morning for a walk with our adorable companions and took commemorative photos with Mt. Fuji in the background. I hope to experience the luxurious changes of seasons at ICHI again someday. Thank you very much!

    Peaceful Accommodation

    Located right in front of Oishi Park, this accommodation offers a great location and excellent amenities. It was very welcoming for us traveling with our dog. The interior, designed like a traditional Japanese house, had a lot of character, and the appliances, tableware, and beds were all top-notch and stylish. On the first floor, we could sleep with our dog; there was even a crate provided so we felt secure throughout the night. From the bath, there was an incredible view of Mount Fuji that made for an unforgettable experience. Next time we visit Lake Kawaguchi, I would love to stay here again with my wife and enjoy watching the sunrise at Oishi Park with our dog. It was two wonderful days—thank you very much!
