  The Best Open-Air Bath

  I stayed here at the end of 2025. This accommodation, carefully crafted by a travel-loving couple, feels like a hidden retreat for adults. As the facility is relatively new, it seems not widely known yet, but every detail—from the room layout and furniture to amenities and lighting—reflects thoughtful design. The spacious and quiet environment made for an incredibly comfortable stay. The open-air bath was particularly outstanding, offering such comfort that I found myself wanting to take multiple dips while enjoying fresh air breaks in between. The sauna is also available, allowing guests to relax privately without worrying about others. Meals are not provided, and while it’s located slightly away from the center of Yugawara, this adds to its charm as a serene escape where you can truly forget daily life and indulge in the luxury of doing nothing in this hidden retreat-like space.

  Thank you very much for choosing Izumi An as your accommodation among many options. We sincerely appreciate your kind words and the high evaluation you provided in the checkout survey. The onsen water flowing into our open-air bath is carefully managed by an Onsen Sommelier. It is not a recirculating system but a free-flowing style, constantly overflowing from the bath. After each use, the onsen water is completely drained, and thorough cleaning is conducted before refilling with fresh Atami hot spring water. This ensures that you can enjoy a private natural onsen experience without sharing it with other guests. Thank you for your compliments regarding our room facilities, amenities, and furniture. We personally visit manufacturers to select items after testing them ourselves to ensure quality. Although our facility is located away from Yugawara Station, we believe it offers a serene environment where you can enjoy time exclusively for yourself amidst nature. For dining options, there are many excellent restaurants in Yugawara and nearby areas. You can choose one based on your mood or health condition of the day or bring your favorite bento to enjoy during your stay.
