    I stayed here the night before a memorial service in Nagano.

    We stayed in late June. Our whole family had a memorial service in Nagano, so we used this Accommodation for the night before. We loved the spacious feel of the Room and the wonderful view from the windows, and above all, we were able to stay with our two Shiba Inu—members of our family—which made it an amazing time. Although there was a light drizzle, we had a barbecue under the eaves and enjoyed a lively evening together as a family. Being able to have drinks while watching our dogs was especially relaxing, and we were very satisfied with the space provided. The bathroom floor slope was not ideal and there were some drainage issues, but we considered it minor and would like to come again. Thank you very much.

    Enjoy an unforgettable three-day stay, soothed by ever-changing breathtaking views and a wonderful space.

    I recently stayed at “Garden Above the Sky” for 2 nights and 3 days. The moment I stepped into the living and dining area, I was blown away by the dramatic Yatsugatake views filling the entire wall of large windows. The spacious living room was incredibly comfortable, and the view from the bathroom was wonderfully open—simply outstanding. The kitchen is truly professional-grade, with excellent Facilities, and I really enjoyed spending time cooking. In the beautifully maintained English garden, my dog (a French Bulldog) was thrilled and ran around happily. Mountain weather changes its mood every 15 minutes or so, but simply watching it shift from the terrace or indoors was a luxurious experience that never got old. This is a special Accommodation where you can forget everyday life and feel completely refreshed in both body and mind. I would love to visit again.

    We had a great time with our dog.

    This was our second stay at ASONOVA RESORT after Hakone, and our first time in Komoro City. Just like in Hakone, it was a resort house where we could truly feel the kindness, consideration, and care for both people and dogs. The amenities—both for dogs and for humans—were all well stocked, making it very convenient and comfortable for us as owners of two large dogs. The garden was spacious and there was also a terrace, so our dogs happily ran around the large property. We would love to stay again.

    My husband and I drove there with our two dogs. The weather was lovely, and the mountain views from the Room were beautiful. The garden had a variety of plants and trees, and our dogs seemed especially happy—probably because it was more interesting than a wide open yard with nothing in it. They ran and jumped around like fish in water, and it took a while to get them back inside. The entrance has no steps, which made it easy to use, and the Room was very spacious and comfortable. The bed was also very comfortable to sleep on. I’m sorry for the trouble we caused with things we forgot, but your response by phone was quick and very helpful. It was also great that Karuizawa and the Onsen were close by.

    We stayed for one ni...

    We stayed for one night with our friends (a couple) and three dogs. The view from the living room, bathroom, and terrace was absolutely stunning. In the spacious garden, the dogs had endless fun playing chase. With a fence surrounding it, it was like having a private dog park! The two bedrooms were well-separated, allowing both families to relax comfortably and sleep soundly. The beds were incredibly comfortable. We prepared a simple dinner in the evening, and the kitchen was fully equipped. Chatting at the counter table while cooking made for wonderful memories. The large sofa was very cozy, and we enjoyed watching music videos on the big-screen theater system. The amenities provided for dogs were excellent as well! We’d love to come back for a Multiple Night Stay next time!

    I visited with my 85...

    I visited with my 85-year-old mother, my sister's family, and our dog. The location was simply amazing, offering a unique accommodation experience with a 180° panoramic view of the mountains and ever-changing skies. The sunrise and sunset were particularly breathtaking. In the evening, we enjoyed French cuisine prepared by a private chef recommended to us—it was restaurant-quality comparable to top establishments in Tokyo, leaving us deeply impressed. Since I was traveling with my elderly mother, we cooked breakfast in the kitchen. As someone who loves tableware, I checked out the dishes and found they were all from wonderful brands. The furnishings were chic and comfortable as well. The cosmetics provided were from POLA's BA line, which I adore! The beds were incredibly comfortable too; even my mother slept soundly through the night. Our dogs happily ran around freely in the spacious garden—it was heartwarming to see them so joyful. My mother expressed her desire to visit again, so next time we plan to come during spring when the garden is at its best!

    There are many better accommodations, so it is not worth staying here.

    [IKYU] Stayed for 3 nights and 4 days, including the Obon weekend, for 400,000 yen, but it was not worth the 100,000 yen per night. I visit the Karuizawa area several times a month. This time I decided to go on short notice and found that almost all accommodations were fully booked. I had doubts about this place being available at such timing and unfortunately found it to be a poor value overall. Even before staying, the staff's attitude left a very bad impression. The representative explained their concept of providing "affordable hotels," which somewhat clarified why the staff quality was lacking. Additionally, as mentioned below, issues like price tags left on plates or poorly removed ones highlighted a lack of training and hospitality among staff. It felt like "affordable" equated to "low performance," which was evident throughout the room—truly disappointing. For those with this budget range for travel, there is no value here. [Good Points] - The garden is spacious and fenced in so dogs can roam freely! [Bad Points] - The entrance door does not lock properly; anyone from outside can walk in freely. - Parking space is narrow; not suitable for those who are not confident drivers. - Surprisingly small TV. - Wi-Fi is extremely weak. - Limited number of towels provided; requesting extra incurs additional charges. - If "hotel-level amenities" refer to BA products here, they are subpar—needs improvement. - Shower usability is poor; bathroom design feels low-budget and disappointing overall. - Refrigerator is too small with only two shelves—very inconvenient to use. - Price tags were left on plate bottoms revealing cheap items used; removal was also done sloppily showing lack of care in work quality. - No curtains mean rooms get extremely bright from around 4:00 AM making it hard to sleep in peace. - No cleaning or bed-making service provided during stay. - Intrusive internal calls disrupt relaxation time unnecessarily. - Internal phone ringer volume is excessively loud causing discomfort.
