  It was good overall, but please be careful.

  The road gets extremely narrow just before you arrive, so please be careful. The Room looked just like the photos and was nicely designed, but although I understand insects can’t be fully avoided, there were quite a few dead bugs under the bed… There were also many bugs in the closet, which didn’t seem to be well maintained… The ocean is right in front of you, and it feels very private. At night, you can see lots of stars and it’s beautiful. Amenities are minimal.

  A private space to relax and unwind

  We stayed here as a couple on our first trip to Amami Oshima. The high ceilings, large kitchen, lovely interior, sound system, shower, and above all, the uncrowded beach you can access directly from the Room were amazing. Taking the chairs outside down to the shore for sunset drinks, and enjoying coffee while watching a morning rainbow, was the best. At night, we could see countless stars from the rooftop. Since it’s in the countryside, it can’t be helped that there are insects. Next time we’d like to bring snorkeling gear and enjoy a Multiple Night Stay.
