    The Accommodation is a power spot.

    We were looking for an Accommodation to visit Izumo Taisha, and chose this place because we loved the style—like staying in a private villa—and the interior design. The interior is, of course, wonderful, and it’s so comfortable that rather than filling your schedule with plans, we recommend spending a relaxing time at the Accommodation. Experiencing the owner’s warm personality and hospitality made our trip many times more special and memorable. The Accommodation itself feels like a true power spot. That thoughtful attention shows in every detail: every Room was spotless and cozy, and our stay was deeply relaxing. It was such a lovely Accommodation that it naturally made us think, “We want to stay again.”

    A Very Satisfying Three-Generation Trip

    We stayed here for a family trip to visit Izumo Taisha. We had watched the introduction video on the website, but it exceeded our expectations. The layout, furniture, and appliances were so stylish that we got excited as soon as we arrived. The underfloor heating in the earthen-floor entryway was wonderfully comfortable, and we really appreciated having a water dispenser. The tableware and cooking utensils were complete and spotless, and thank you as well for providing dishes for our two 2-year-olds. There were eight of us across three generations—our two sons’ families (two families) plus us as a couple—and it was very helpful that we could sleep in separate Rooms, with multiple toilets and washbasins. Thank you also for securing parking nearby when we visited Izumo Taisha. It was an Accommodation we were extremely satisfied with, and we would love to stay again.

    It was a wonderful vacation rental.

    We stayed as a family of five. First of all, the villa’s interior was outstanding—nothing felt cheap, from the furnishings to the lighting. It was impeccably clean, and we truly enjoyed an extraordinary getaway as a family. For dinner, we ordered a sashimi platter from a seafood shop that was recommended to us and had it delivered. We cooked rice and soup ourselves using ingredients bought at a local supermarket. The sashimi was exceptional—sweet shrimp, turban shell, horse mackerel, squid, rockfish, and more—all incredibly fresh and on a completely different level from what you’d typically find at supermarkets. The tableware also impressed us: beautiful pieces mainly from local kilns that reflected true craftsmanship. The appliances were stylish as well, with design-focused selections throughout. In addition, they even arranged parking near Izumo Taisha for us, which was very helpful. As noted above, we could feel the owner’s pride and thoughtful attention in every detail. This has become one of the places we would definitely love to visit again. P.S. Groups who plan to be loud—such as those looking to party or families with children who may be noisy—may want to refrain from staying here. It is located in a residential neighborhood, so noise could disturb the neighbors.

    Surrounded by high-quality items, I enjoyed a relaxing stay.

    The accommodation is located in a quiet residential area at a perfect distance from the shrine, giving a feeling of living there during the trip, which was wonderful. It was stylish, spacious, and filled with thoughtful touches that left us impressed. There was also a very convenient parking lot just off a street near the shrine that felt like an old castle town, which was very helpful. Both the accommodation and parking were ideally located for us traveling by car, allowing us to visit the shrine three times! The kitchen was well-equipped, so on the second day, we bought ingredients from a local supermarket and enjoyed homemade meals. We would be delighted to stay here again when visiting Izumo!

    Machitoke Taisha was an accommodation beyond expectations.

    We welcomed a new family member and came for a shrine visit. Although we have visited Izumo Taisha several times, we decided to reserve a private villa where we wouldn't have to worry about others, as part of showing appreciation to my wife after childbirth. We arrived at the accommodation by car, and there was enough space to park four cars comfortably. The unmanned check-in process went smoothly, and upon entering the room on this cold day, we were relieved to find that the air conditioning and floor heating had already been turned on thanks to the thoughtful preparation by the accommodation. While I had checked out their website beforehand, the actual design exceeded my expectations. From the windows, you could see the ocean; lighting up the wood stove and sitting in vintage chairs provided an extraordinary experience. The island kitchen was fully equipped and easy to use, while the spacious bathroom helped us relax completely. The beds on the second floor allowed us to rest well—it truly was an accommodation beyond our imagination! Reserving for a multiple night stay turned out to be a great decision. During our visit to Izumo Taisha Shrine, "Machitoke Parking" proved very helpful as it is conveniently close to Seidamari Square. We enjoyed both visiting Izumo Taisha Shrine and shopping along Shinmon Street with ease—even with a stroller!
