Live surrounded by the best of nature

We visited during the July long weekend with our two children, aged 9 and 5. As soon as we entered the Room, we were amazed by the view from the living room. That alone made the trip worthwhile. Everything in the Facility felt spotless, the view from the bath was wonderful, and there was also a washer-dryer and a fully equipped kitchen. We could truly live here. The activities were also incredibly well organized, and our children had an amazing experience. We harvested vegetables together, made pasta using what we picked, and melted beeswax to make herbal lip balm. Our younger child especially loved getting to actually pound the meat, coat it in flour, dip it in egg, and cover it with breadcrumbs. There’s no way I could give anything other than a perfect 5. We would love to visit again.

We had a truly wonderful time!

There were two reasons we chose this Accommodation. First, it was my wife’s birthday, and we wanted to relax in a place surrounded by nature. Second, we have a six-month-old son, and it’s usually difficult to enjoy a leisurely meal when dining out. We wanted to savor delicious food as a family at our own pace, without worrying about others. In conclusion, staying at this Accommodation was truly amazing! The Room was very clean, and the large windows were striking, creating an open feeling that made us feel connected to nature. We were able to forget the noise of the city and genuinely relax. In the morning, soaking in the bath while listening to birdsong was incredibly soothing. For dinner, we could enjoy the chef’s delicious cuisine slowly in our Room. Both the food and the setting were wonderful—so much so that during dinner I thought, “I want to spend our son’s first birthday here too,” and I made a Reservation on the spot. The activity programs were also very appealing. On day one, we experienced harvesting vegetables in the owners’ farm plot. Being able to pick vegetables we don’t usually see or touch—and then have those freshly harvested vegetables used in that evening’s dinner—was a truly luxurious experience. We could also take home any unused vegetables as souvenirs. On day two, we tried making jam using vegetables from their garden. It’s rare to have a chance to make jam ourselves, and I was genuinely impressed when we poured freshly made jam over ice cream and tasted it. It was delicious, and we could take some home as well. Unlike typical Accommodations where you simply stay overnight, the owners welcomed us warmly and planned various experiences for us, giving us many chances to chat with them. By the time we left, it felt like visiting friends’ home. It was a wonderful Accommodation where our family could spend slow-paced yet special time together.

A luxurious stay close to nature—once again, truly moving.

Because our stay last November was so wonderful—and we were told that we might be able to see fireflies in June—we returned this time. It turned out to be an even more special experience than we had hoped. From the moment you arrive, you feel a soothing quiet surrounded by nature. The garden was filled with different seasonal flowers than last time, and our children dashed outside saying, “Can we go into the garden!?” They were completely absorbed in picking flowers and catching insects. Picking blueberries and mulberries and searching for four-leaf clovers—experiences that are hard to come by in the city—had their eyes shining with excitement. We were also touched by the owners’ thoughtful gesture of casually providing insect nets and bug cages. On the Farm-to-Table tour we had been looking forward to, we harvested seasonal vegetables including zucchini. The luxury of seeing ingredients we picked ourselves served at our table later that day is thrilling no matter how many times you experience it. Every dish carefully prepared by the owner-chef was deeply nourishing, with flavors that truly showcased the strength of the ingredients. Sharing a meal while chatting with the owner about memories from harvesting made it even more unforgettable. At night, during a break in the rainy season weather, we went firefly viewing under a clear night sky. The soft lights drifting through the darkness were magical—so beautiful that our whole family couldn’t help but cheer. Considering rain had been forecast right up until then, it felt like an incredibly lucky moment. After returning to the Accommodation, we gathered around a bonfire, and they even prepared handheld fireworks for us—so the fun continued late into the night. What makes Agriturismo Yutaka special is not only its abundant nature but also the hospitality of its owners: warm and attentive without ever being overbearing. Their kindness gently embraced our entire stay. It reminded us how quickly everyday busyness can fade away—and how time spent in nature can truly reset your mind. Sleepwear and bath amenities are provided, but as this is an ethical Accommodation, bringing your own toothbrush and hairbrush is recommended. An unforgettable stay filled with nature’s gifts and human warmth—a place you’ll want to return to each time the seasons change. Whether you’re traveling as a family, as adults only, or for a digital detox, I believe this Accommodation offers something truly special for everyone.

An Accommodation You’ll Want to Come Back To!!

We stayed for two nights as a family with our 4-year-old daughter. Although we arrived a little late, they guided us straight to the farm, where we got to harvest vegetables. Spending time chatting with the chef and his wife was so much fun! Dinner can be enjoyed in your Room, so when our daughter got tired of eating she could freely play in the living room or watch TV, and it became a precious time for my husband and me to talk slowly together for the first time in a while without worrying about our child. On the second night, dinner had a completely different feel from the first day. Every single dish was truly delicious. The umeshu plum liqueur and shiso syrup also seemed to be all handmade by the chef, and we really enjoyed the drinks as well. Breakfast was also carefully prepared; being able to enjoy freshly cooked rice in such an elegant way made us happy from the morning. For our final day’s activity, we asked to make jam. The chef went to pick rhubarb from the farm right in front of us, and we made jam with freshly picked rhubarb! Our 4-year-old daughter stood in the kitchen with us and had fun helping out. The finished jam was incredibly tasty, and it was amazing poured over vanilla ice cream they prepared for us (the vanilla ice cream was also homemade by the chef!!) The chef and his wife are wonderful people, and we felt this is an Accommodation that makes you want to come back again. They gave us so many experiences and took lots of photos as well—helping us create memories that we couldn’t have made on our own as just a family. This is an Accommodation where you can fully enjoy “right now” right in front of you. We truly recommend this Accommodation!!

    Very satisfied.

It was the perfect time to recharge. We stayed in early June, just before the rainy season, as two adults. Honestly, it was such a wonderful experience that we thought, “We want to come back in every season.” This is a rare kind of Accommodation where you can spend your time as if you were staying in a private villa with your own chef. The standalone house, thoughtfully created by the owner couple, was extremely comfortable. The garden features a beautiful lawn, a variety of herbs, and even an impressive plum tree that must be decades old. Above all, we were truly impressed by the meals. We were allowed to harvest vegetables ourselves from their fields—grown by the owners in small quantities across many varieties—and they then combined them with local ingredients to create outstanding Italian cuisine. It was one delightful surprise after another: “So this is what vegetables we just picked can become.” This time we brought our own wine (corkage is ¥3,300 per bottle), but they also have local wines available, so we’d love to enjoy those next time. Their website mentions “with children,” and I’m sure it’s fantastic for families as well. Personally, I wholeheartedly recommend this Accommodation for a calm adults-only getaway or for anyone who wants to step away from busy everyday life for a while.

    Because it was an en...

Because it was an entire home rental, we were able to relax and enjoy our own time without worrying about others. The food had a gentle flavor and was truly delicious; in particular, the fresh vegetables let us fully experience the charm of Yatsugatake. The beautifully maintained garden was also wonderful, and we enjoyed a peaceful, unhurried stay. Above all, the owners were warm and welcoming, making our stay very comfortable. We would love to visit again.

    Relax and recharge in nature

We visited as a couple with one child (11 months old). Check-in was inside a lovely wooden house, where we were welcomed with tea and the chef’s homemade lemon cake. We stayed for two nights, and before dinner on the first day we joined an agricultural experience with the owner couple, harvesting asparagus, root vegetables, and shiitake mushrooms. It was my first farm work since elementary school, and my spouse and I really enjoyed it. Because it is an entire private rental and we were the only guests, they brought freshly prepared dishes straight from the kitchen next door. Seeing the vegetables we had just harvested cooked and served right in front of us was truly special. Every dish was cooked perfectly and seasoned beautifully—we kept saying “delicious” over and over. For our child, we consulted by email in advance and they prepared baby food as well—so wonderful that even adults would want to eat it. Our child finished everything in no time. Preparing baby food while traveling with a child can be difficult, so we were very grateful for this support. As other Reviews mention, while we were eating, the wife kindly looked after our child. We could enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace, which we deeply appreciated. On the second evening, as an activity we joined a “chef’s apprentice” experience. Under the chef’s guidance, we helped prepare a salad, a main dish (venison cutlet), and pasta. It was my first time handling venison; hearing about game meat and how challenging it can be to cook venison properly made it an invaluable experience. There was also a slightly hectic moment at the end to serve everything hot at once, but it became a great memory. Throughout our stay we were able to truly unwind. Unlike a Hotel where you keep your shoes on indoors, here you take off your shoes before entering the Room area—so there was nothing to worry about even when our child crawled around everywhere. It combines the best parts of both a pension-style stay and an entire private rental; also, the owners’ sense of distance felt just right for us, so we would love to return. Because there is no TV in the living room (it is placed in the bedroom), after our child fell asleep we could relax together in the living room chatting—it made for such lovely evenings. One small thing I remembered: our child is sensitive to light and woke up slightly earlier than usual with sunrise. If possible (and I apologize for mentioning this), it would have been nice if only the bedroom had thicker curtains—but this might not fit your concept of living close to nature anyway, so it’s absolutely fine without them! We’re also looking forward to seeing how well that taro potato grows after planting it during our stay.

    Enjoy a richer everyday life

Thank you for taking care of us on our Golden Week family trip. We were captivated for the entire two days, but our eldest son (8) may have been the most hooked of all. I asked him for his Top 3 favorite moments: No.1: Farm-to-table tour No.2: Indoor activities No.3: Delicious meals He got to plant tomatoes and taro, and he’s already saying, “Let’s come back when they’re ready to harvest,” so we may be returning soon. At night, we really appreciated the thoughtful touches that let the kids have fun without relying on TV or tablets. As soon as we got home, he said, “Next time I want to help the chef,” and it seems he’s become interested in cooking too—thanks to you, our whole family had a truly fulfilling two days. We left with a wonderful afterglow and the feeling there’s still so much more to enjoy next time. The two of you who welcomed us were incredibly kind and supportive—it was perfect.

An accommodation that creates fulfilling, relaxing moments

We visited as a family of four—two children (early elementary school and kindergarten age) and a couple. From the warm welcome by the owner couple, our wonderful time began. We gathered firewood and relaxed while watching the campfire. They even prepared smoked duck for dinner and roasted sweet potatoes in the fire, which was so exciting. Dinner was served right in our Room. Having a private chef cook just for one family was an incredibly luxurious experience. Every dish was refined and truly delicious. The owner’s wife carefully explained each course, and learning the story behind them made everything taste even better. After the kids finished early, she kindly played with them, allowing us to enjoy a leisurely meal together for the first time in a while. The next morning we enjoyed an indulgent breakfast, then tried making miso. The miso we prepared together with our children became another special memory. This Accommodation was truly wonderful—one that made us sincerely think, “Next time, we want to visit in a different season.”

The Best Getaway. Experience Agritourism in Japan

We visited Yamanashi for a relaxed 1-night, 2-day stay as a family of three. We’ve experienced agriturismo in the Italian countryside before and have wonderful memories, including communicating with local hosts, so we hoped to find a similar experience in Japan. We chose this place because the name “Agriturismo Yutaka” caught our attention, and it exceeded our expectations—it was exactly the agriturismo we had been dreaming of. This private Accommodation run by a couple offers truly breathtaking views, and the Facility design and interior are refined and beautifully done. It was the perfect space for our family of three to spend quiet time together. It would also be ideal for couples looking for a special getaway. We’ve stayed at many Hotels in Japan and abroad, but this may be the first time we’ve felt so strongly that we absolutely want to come back to an Accommodation like this in a rural area. We enjoyed several activities during our stay, but what stood out most was the bonfire. Sitting around the fire at an unhurried pace was incredibly soothing, and before we knew it we had spent hours there. Also, we highly recommend booking both dinner and breakfast as a set. The owner’s cooking was outstanding—every detail, down to each piece of tableware, showed beauty and care—and we were impressed not only by the taste but also by how stunning everything looked. The meals made generous use of ingredients grown in their own fields as well as local produce, allowing the natural flavors to shine through. We also heard that the owner previously served as head chef at a renowned Hotel, which certainly showed; it felt like exceptional value beyond the price. The stories behind the food and the wife’s thoughtful hospitality added even more warmth, making our entire stay a special memory. We visited in spring and found even the view from our Room truly beautiful; next time we’d love to return in autumn or winter—and also summer—to enjoy each season’s unique charm. This was an amazing experience that made us genuinely want to come back again. Thank you very much for such a wonderful time.

Discover YUTAKA for a richer heart — Part 2

We returned to Agriturismo YUTAKA for a two-night, three-day stay from January 2. This was our second visit, following our stay last August. Our summer stay last time was so wonderful that we knew we had to come back in winter—and this trip made that wish come true. Just like before, our theme was “simply take it slow.” Away from the bustle of the New Year holidays, the four of us enjoyed three luxurious days of quiet family time. Winter in Kobuchizawa brings crisp, clear air and a dignified beauty to the scenery. The contrast with the cozy warmth of the indoor fireplace made it even easier to truly unwind. The highlight of lunch this time was a hands-on experience making Yamanashi’s local specialty, hoto noodles. The pizza-making experience last time was unforgettable, and this one more than lived up to our expectations as well. From kneading the dough from flour to rolling it out, cutting it, and simmering it with plenty of vegetables, we were completely absorbed in every step. Freshly made hoto tasted exceptional and warmed us through to the core. On our final day, we tried making homemade miso. Mashing soybeans and mixing them with koji and salt—carefully yet boldly—was such a rich and satisfying experience. Taking it home and letting it mature means the enjoyment continues even after our trip ends. We’re already looking forward to imagining miso soup on our table a year from now. And each night’s chef-prepared dinner was once again outstanding. Every dish showcased seasonal ingredients with surprise and delight, letting us fully savor both the hearty character and comforting warmth of winter produce. YUTAKA showed us a different side than in summer. We truly felt how changing seasons can deepen both experiences and flavors. Thank you again for such a genuinely enriching stay.
