    It was comfortable.

    We have three children, and we had a very enjoyable and pleasant stay. It would have been even better if there had been a partition between the sleeping area and the living space, but it was still a very nice Room. Thank you very much.

    Will definitely stay again.

    Privacy was well maintained, and we were able to relax and enjoy a leisurely stay. It felt truly connected with nature—an irresistible setting for sauna lovers.

    We stayed here for m...

    We stayed here for my partner’s birthday trip. Surrounded by nature in a quiet setting, we were able to step away from everyday life and spend a truly wonderful time. The room was very clean, and the Facility and amenities were well equipped, so we stayed comfortably without any inconvenience throughout our stay. The size was just right, and it felt like a very cozy space for two adults. The sauna is electric, so even someone like me who isn’t used to wood-fired saunas could enjoy it easily—and it still felt authentic, which was more than satisfying. Before our stay, they also shared helpful information such as the destination (Google Maps), what to bring, and recommended nearby places, which we really appreciated. Next time, we’d love to stay for multiple nights!

    The Facility is mini...

    The Facility is minimal yet clean and user-friendly, with the pellet stove providing warmth immediately after ignition, ensuring a comfortable stay. Overall, it was highly satisfying. However, the sauna, despite being relatively spacious, only had one level of seating. Sitting there made it difficult to fully experience the higher temperatures. If there were seats allowing access to the hotter air above, I would have rated it 5 out of 5!

    Enjoy a relaxing trip with sauna, campfire, and nature!

    My first stay at SANU was amazing! Sauna, campfire, nature, a lovely Room – it was the perfect day! - **Room**: Spacious and surrounded by beautiful nature just like in the photos. There was also a speaker, so cooking while playing music was incredibly fun. - **Campfire**: Firewood could be purchased right in front of the Room, and there were clear instructions on how to start a fire, making it easy to use without any confusion. - **Sauna**: The temperature could be set above 100°C, and the cold bath was super refreshing – perfect for relaxation! Depending on the season, outdoor air baths might feel too cold. In that case, I recommend resting near the cold bath area instead. - **Cooking**: We bought local specialties from nearby supermarkets and roadside stations beforehand – which turned out to be an excellent decision! The nearby Delicia supermarket is very spacious with an extensive selection of items; highly recommended for shopping before heading over. Overall, it was a very satisfying 1-night stay! I can’t wait to visit another SANU location!

    Perfect for family time in the great outdoors.

    We enjoyed a relaxing family time at a lodge surrounded by nature. The environment was quiet and private, with minimal interaction with other guests, making it very comfortable. The interior was filled with the warmth of wood, giving us the feeling of truly escaping the city and immersing ourselves in nature. Even the seasonings showed attention to detail, and having children's cutlery available was a thoughtful touch that we appreciated. In the sauna, we enjoyed löyly sessions, while outdoor air baths allowed us to experience winter's unique charm with cold natural water and reclining chairs—making for a special time. If I had to mention one thing, understanding how to use some of the electrical appliances was slightly confusing; having instructions would make it easier to relax fully. Also, since there is such a wonderful wine cellar available, as a wine lover, I would have been even happier if there were better-quality wine glasses provided. It was such an amazing stay that I look forward to visiting again in another season!

    Welcome to Sanu!

    The cabin, quietly nestled in nature, is surrounded by the warmth and scent of wood, offering a sophisticated design that ensures a comfortable and pleasant stay. Through the large windows, you can enjoy expansive views of the forest and be soothed by the beautiful scenery in the morning and evening. We purchased local ingredients to cook meals we brought along or made roasted sweet potatoes over a fire pit, savoring nature's blessings during our time there. The private sauna allowed us to enjoy the scent of wood and self-poured löyly at our own pace. During outdoor air baths, we were enveloped in fresh air and tranquility for an incredibly refreshing experience! Every detail was thoughtfully considered, making it a wonderful stay where we could completely clear our minds and bodies. We look forward to visiting again to enjoy its charm through all four seasons.

    Enjoy an Extraordinary Experience

    We had a relaxing time as a family surrounded by nature. Conversations that usually wouldn't come up flowed naturally, thanks to the SANU villa. The Room with a sauna was also great. After stepping out of the sauna, lying back on the chair and gazing at the trees made us lose track of time. Rooms with saunas are highly recommended. We would love to visit again!

    It was a clean and tidy accommodation.

    Thank you for providing a comfortable and enjoyable stay at the accommodation. I would like to share some observations. Regarding the car navigation system, the address of the accommodation was not displayed, which caused us to get lost and required us to call for assistance. When we called, the staff was attending to someone else, and we reached voicemail. Although we received a call back from the staff an hour after our arrival at the accommodation, it would have been helpful if we could have been contacted immediately before our arrival. Additionally, finding directions to Sanu Second Home Kitakaruizawa 2nd was challenging; we had to ask two people for directions before finally arriving. A large signboard or noticeable landmark would make it easier to locate. The facility itself was clean, user-friendly, and provided a comfortable stay. Thank you very much!

    Sauna Use: Please Note

    - Depending on the room, the view may differ significantly from expectations. (While seeking a soft impression of wood grain and trees, the strong presence of stainless steel diminished the natural feel.) - The sauna was very disappointing. The sauna floor had gaps (not due to damage but for ventilation), allowing wind to enter, leaving feet cold and causing a chill.

    Minimum & Simple

    We stayed as a family of three. The interior design was stylish, the space was just right, and we were able to spend our time comfortably. The pre-check-in process and the manual for the room's equipment were organized on Notion, which added to the convenience. We had our meals at nearby restaurants, but it would be helpful if there was a compiled list of recommended dining options available in advance. One slightly disappointing aspect was that the sauna's temperature was low. It might be due to the season, but the temperature seemed extremely low up to about 70-80cm from the floor (possibly due to insufficient floor insulation?). Since the main purpose seems to be as a membership-based vacation home, it would be fantastic if it could also be used as a company Facility.
