    It was a wonderful experience.

I stayed for one night with a friend. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, knitting while watching dramas, and spending time at a relaxed pace surrounded by nature! The cabin was well-equipped with various utensils and seasonings, which was very convenient. Additionally, the distance from neighboring cabins allowed us to enjoy our stay without worrying about others. I would love to visit other SANU locations as well!

    A space surrounded by trees

Surrounded by trees, the environment, buildings, and even the sauna were immersed in nature. We visited to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday, and she was extremely delighted. It was a stylish space where we could enjoy a digital detox, making it a highly satisfying trip.

    First Time at SANU

This was my first stay at the accommodation. Since there were no toothbrushes among the amenities, I purchased one at the nearest convenience store. The sauna reached a very high temperature, which was incredibly satisfying as a sauna enthusiast. The surroundings were very quiet, allowing me to relax and rest peacefully. The room wasn't extremely spacious but had a thoughtfully designed feel to it, offering great value for money. I would love to stay here again. Overall, there were no negative aspects during my stay. Additionally, it was great that there were many sightseeing spots in the surrounding area.

    Girls' Trip for Two

In March, we visited Nasu for a girls' trip! We bought groceries at the supermarket, picked up breakfast bread from a famous bakery, and finally arrived. With soothing BGM playing, we enjoyed a relaxing time with the sauna, wine, and stargazing. <Highlights> - The Room is absolutely stunning - Equipped with a sauna for ultimate relaxation - Stargazing from the terrace at night is magical - A full set of seasonings and cooking utensils available - Peaceful surroundings with no noise; woke up to birds chirping in the morning <Downsides> - Poor accessibility; taxis are needed to go anywhere - No shops within walking distance nearby - No pajamas provided - No sauna wear available - Guests need to clean dishes and dispose of trash themselves

The sunrise at SANU is the best.

It was my first time staying at SANU! I was excited to go and stay there. It's not too close to the center of Nasu, but not too far either. It was in a perfect location to enjoy nature. Although I checked in late at night, when I opened the entrance, the Room was warm, as if saying "welcome back." What I particularly liked was the drowsy atmosphere with the morning sun streaming in! Just for that alone, I'm glad I stayed here. The bedding was also clean, and even though it was February, I didn't feel cold at all. If there's anything to note, it's that pajamas are not provided, so please bring your own. Also, for those staying at SANU for the first time, since there are several cottages built alike, don't forget to check which building number you have via email for a smooth experience.

I felt my mind and heart unwind in nature.

I stayed for one night in snowy Nasu in January with a couple of friends. The first snow of the year excited me like a dog, and just looking at it from the room wasn't enough. I went out to the balcony, reached out my hand, observed the branches in front of me, and watched the colors of the sunset change every second. As an adult, that alone was enough to make my heart dance. The room was very comfortable, with a fireplace, air conditioning, and a large humidifier, making temperature control easy without feeling cold or dry. This time, my friends and I each reserved a cabin, but we gathered in this room for dinner. We decided to have sukiyaki, so we bought meat from a local butcher and vegetables and rice from a roadside station before checking in. The experience of choosing and buying local products, like the unusually large shiitake mushrooms and the little extra meat from the butcher, became a wonderful memory. SANU's website has recommendations for great spots in each area, which is helpful. The cooking utensils and seasonings were easy to use without any trouble. There was even curry prepared in the freezer! There's also a coffee set, so having coffee and curry for breakfast is a good option. The bathroom had a bathtub, and the stone lights in the dressing room were very cute and my favorite! I think this charm is irresistible for nature lovers. The cabin, though compact, had high ceilings, and the space wrapped in curves allowed sunlight to filter in during the day, giving a sense of being in the forest and feeling open. I did a little work in between, but the kitchen, desk, and bed were pleasantly separated from view, making it comfortable. The Wi-Fi was smooth, and there were no issues. The selection of books was wonderful, and I wanted to stay a few more days. Although I didn't do anything special during the two-day, one-night stay, I felt like my mind, which had been stiff from daily desk work, expanded in all directions. Next time, I think it would be nice to stay for two nights, go hiking or engage in activities, and then return, or perhaps visit a different place!

Relax and indulge away from everyday life.

Enjoy various dining spots, souvenir shops, general stores, and farms around Nasu Town by car from Tokyo. After arriving at the Stays, we enjoyed the winter scenery and spent a relaxing time. This time, we rented two rooms for five people and stayed for one night and two days. My husband and I stayed in a cabin, and during dinner and breakfast, we gathered in the neighboring cabin where our friends stayed, cooked, and had a great time. There is a round dining table that can accommodate five adults. We bought local vegetables at "Chus" and "Nasu Royal Highland Marche" on the way to the Property, wagyu beef for sukiyaki at "Kanazawa Meat Shop," and other necessary ingredients and drinks at "Daiyu Nasu Highland Store." Since it was a Tuesday, some shops were closed, but there were several options, so we had no problem shopping. For dinner, we had sukiyaki, and for breakfast, we used the leftover sukiyaki for egg binding, curry, and miso soup made with miso produced in Nasu. The kitchen in the cabin was well-stocked with proper seasonings, stylish tableware of various sizes, and enough utensils for any cooking. Everything seemed carefully selected rather than just placed there. As a couple who loves cooking, we enjoyed the compact yet well-equipped kitchen, saying, "This is nice, this is nice." Checking the equipment list on the HP, everything in the cabin was detailed on one page, which was a very reassuring point. The arched wooden wall above the bed was beautiful. The light from the back leaked through the knots, resembling a starry sky, which was a lovely memory as I fell asleep. Waking up to a snowy landscape, countless trees and powder snow outside the window, with the morning sun shining through, I was moved by the serene scenery. Sitting on the bench on the terrace, I took a deep breath. It felt luxurious to be away from everyday life and enjoy this view alone. Although I currently live in Tokyo, I dream of living in a place where I can directly feel the changing seasons in nature. It was a wonderful time for me. We are expecting a child this year, and I hope to visit other SANU properties with our child for a relaxing time.
