    A Hotel in High Demand Among International Travelers

    A Hotel in the Ryogoku area that promotes its sauna. I will not stay here a second time. I arrived at the location using the address, but there was no signage, so I couldn’t tell where it was. Only inside the elevator did I finally realize it was on the 9th floor. After getting off on the 9th floor, I had to do self check-in with my luggage in a cramped elevator lobby area. The process was extremely complicated. Face recognition was required for both me and my companion. Check-in took more than ten minutes. Inside, there is a south-facing bath and sauna. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking utensils. All drinks are charged to the credit card registered at check-in. The Hotel’s billing/payment notice contains threatening wording that doesn’t feel like something written in Japanese. For these reasons, this seems like a Hotel aimed at inbound guests looking for a sauna experience. Come to think of it, even the Hotel name being entirely in Roman letters makes sense. One of the worst value-for-money stays I’ve had in years, with unacceptable service—there will be no second time at this Hotel. Do not use it.

    Comfortable

    Conveniently located within easy reach of Ryogoku Station on both the Oedo Line and the Sobu-Chuo Line, with many nearby restaurants and shops for dining and shopping. When entering, there was a system I hadn’t experienced at other hotels, such as face registration, so I was a little unsure at first. However, it wasn’t difficult, and I was able to complete the process smoothly. There was also a way to make inquiries on the spot, so it didn’t seem like there would be any trouble. Upon entering the Room, I was immediately impressed by how spacious it was and by the abundance of greenery. The Facility is well equipped with various modern and convenient features, and the main sauna allows self-service löyly, so you can adjust the temperature to your liking. We bought various foods to bring in, made snacks in the kitchen as well, enjoyed them with the complimentary Prosecco provided as a perk, took turns using each bathtub whenever we liked, and fully enjoyed the sauna—overall offering a high degree of freedom and making our stay extremely satisfying. During this stay, we consulted about adding one more guest than originally planned. The staff explained everything very carefully regarding the system and kindly handled all procedures for adding an additional guest. We truly appreciated their thoughtful support. We were all saying that we would definitely like to visit again. Thank you very much for providing such a wonderful stay experience.

    The Room was spacious, with the living area, bedroom, and bathroom clearly separated. There was a great selection of tableware, and the sauna was pleasantly dim with a side window. The bathtub was also large, and I was able to relax fully. However, I did not receive the email with the code needed for check-in and couldn’t check in at first. A staff member on the 7th floor kindly helped me access the Room. Until 6:00 PM, email responses from headquarters were quick, but from 6:00 PM until after 9:00 AM the next day there were no replies due to being outside business hours. Since there was no emergency button inside the sauna, I was told to go to the 7th floor in case of an issue—but if something happened while using the sauna or bathing, going to the 7th floor could be difficult (especially if you weren’t well enough to get dressed), and elevators can take time. I felt it would be better to have an emergency call method connected to the 7th floor. (Perhaps I wouldn’t have worried about this if not for recent news about a sauna accident in Akasaka.) The sauna door opens outward and has no knob on the inside, so I don’t think getting stuck would be an issue—though I may be overthinking it. Both the Room and all staff—on-site on the 7th floor as well as those who replied by email—were very polite and kind, which made me feel reassured. If you’re used to Vacation Rentals, it’s a great place where you can enjoy your time without interference. Even if you’re not familiar with this kind of system at first, I think it will be smooth from your second stay onward. It was a wonderful Room for enjoying something out of the ordinary while still being in central Tokyo. The pillow may have been one of my favorites—I slept better than at any Hotel I’ve stayed at before. I sent quite a few emails—thank you very much.

    Facility is good. Customer service is not satisfactory.

    There was an unfortunate incident at a sauna in Akasaka, which made me anxious. Even after emailing the contact address to inquire about the sauna's safety measures, there was no response for over 10 days. I ended up staying at the accommodation despite my concerns. On the day of my stay, still feeling uneasy, I sent another email 10 days later asking why there had been no reply. Only then did I receive a response. They mentioned that information is provided in both the in-room house guide and online guest guide, which I had checked as well. They assured me that they have systems in place to respond promptly during emergencies; however, their email responses do not seem to reflect this promptness. As a hotel sauna and facility overall, it might be good for some people; however, I do not feel inclined to visit again.

    You can enjoy a relaxing bath.

    I was looking forward to my stay after checking the website in advance. Upon arrival, the check-in process was self-service, but it required inputting personal information in a humid elevator hall, which took time and was a bit stressful. If I had been informed beforehand that an email would be sent prior to arrival, the process might have gone more smoothly. The guidance for entering the room felt insufficient. Waiting for my companion in such heat made me slightly irritated. Since it was a day-use stay, I couldn’t enjoy the night view but managed to catch a beautiful sunset with some ambiance. The sauna was spacious enough for two people to lie down and featured self-pour löyly, which delighted my companion. However, they were slightly dissatisfied with the lukewarm cold bath. It was also disappointing that there were only two robes provided despite being used by four people (especially since they were cute designs suitable for wearing outside of the sauna). The bathtub area was spacious but took time to fill up with water; I recommend starting this immediately upon entering if you’re on a day-use schedule. Overall, the room itself felt open and relaxing with greenery near the windows—whether soaking in the bath or cooling off elsewhere—it offered an enjoyable experience. Having such a large bathing space that feels like part of your living area is rare and adds unique value. Additionally, there were large mirrors and multiple ReFa hair tools available, making it very convenient for getting ready. Perhaps because we didn’t have access to a bedroom during our day-use stay, there wasn’t any closet space for hanging clothes—this felt slightly inconvenient. If you visit during winter on a day-use plan, you might get lucky enough to enjoy both sunset and night views—a great deal! While initially surprised by how old-looking the building appeared from outside (“Is this really where it’s located?”), its unexpected charm stood out once inside. With its spacious kitchen setup perfect for light cooking or group activities alongside nearby stores offering takeout options around Ryogoku Station—the location has plenty of possibilities! Though our 15:00–19:00 time slot seemed like an awkward duration at first glance—we ended up having fun wrapping up our visit by enjoying monjayaki together after checkout—a memorable experience overall!

    I felt relaxed and completely satisfied.

    Stayed with my partner during a business trip to Tokyo. Chose YUULO for relaxation and rejuvenation. The room featured a spacious bathroom with a large bathtub, sauna, cold bath, and warm bath, allowing us to enjoy multiple cycles of relaxation. The bedroom had a large bed where we slept soundly and experienced true comfort. Woke up refreshed the next morning and performed well at work during the day. Would love to stay here again on my next Tokyo business trip.
