    The building itself ...

    The building itself is simple and has a warm wooden feel, and the view was just as wonderful as I imagined. As a personal request, the amenities were great and organic, but the loungewear was 100% polyester, so I would have been happier with 100% cotton or 100% linen. For breakfast, I chose the traditional Okinawan rice porridge since it was a special opportunity. The seasoning felt a bit mild for my taste, but it was healthy. It wasn’t particularly flashy, but I enjoyed seasonal Okinawan ingredients.

    Perfect for an adults-only getaway

    I was truly moved the moment I was shown to my Room. The pool was also larger than I had imagined, and I was very satisfied. If you get chilled in the pool, you can jump straight into the bath. The view is incredible—there’s no greater luxury. From the roof to the walls, everything is made of wood, creating a truly luxurious space. This Hotel stands apart from the cheaply built villas that have been popping up on remote islands lately. It was the best Hotel for spending quiet time alone and reflecting. It was disappointing that the washlet wasn’t working. Also, the path to the toilet is covered with gravel, so it’s not easy to go barefoot, which is a bit inconvenient. I also wished there were bathrobes. Hooks for hanging bath towels in the washroom are necessary—the towels don’t dry easily, and there isn’t enough space for drying them properly. For future improvement, I’d also love to see non-alcoholic options included among the drinks in the refrigerator. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    It was a wonderful stay.

    Thanks to the warm smiles and hospitality of the staff, we were able to relax from the moment we arrived. We were impressed by how efficiently our meals were prepared. It was far, far better than in-room dining at a Hotel. The shabu-shabu and the morning sandwiches were outstanding. In a wonderful Room with views of Okinawa’s nature and the sea, our family was able to spend an amazing time together. Soaking in the bath at a leisurely pace while taking in the ocean, greenery, and birdsong left a lasting impression on us. We had been told there might be insects, but perhaps due to the strong wind and temperatures, we hardly saw any during our stay. If we have another chance, we would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

    Relax and unwind!

    I chose this Accommodation at my mother’s request. They responded politely during our email exchange before the stay, and were kind throughout our visit. The Room design was stylish without being overdone, making it very comfortable. We could also tell that a lot of care had gone into the amenities and in-room items. It was cloudy for most of our stay, so we were disappointed not to enjoy the ocean view under clear skies or the stars at night as we had hoped, but it still became a wonderful memory.

    No ocean view.

    I stayed in a Sea King Room. Based on the photos on IKYU and the Accommodation’s website, I expected an unobstructed ocean view right in front of me, but in reality the sea is only slightly visible through dense vegetation. When relaxing at the provided table set, you cannot see the ocean at all. Although the sun sets directly in front of the property, I had to walk to the edge of the grounds to find a spot where the view opens up a little, and watched the sunset over the sea while standing there. When I pointed out the difference from what is shown on their website, a staff member said that “the photos are from when we first opened (about two years ago?), so…” (perhaps meaning that the plants have grown). Since most guests likely come expecting an ocean view—especially those reserving a Sea-type room—I believe they should update their listing information. The buildings were lovely, which makes this disappointing.

    A Hotel for Detox

    I had always wanted to visit after reading about it in Casa BRUTUS. It was categorized as a Vacation Rental, so I wondered how it differed from a Hotel. However, the only difference seemed to be that meals were served in the Room. The staff were always present and responded promptly to various requests, making it no different from a Hotel. Dining on the terrace was very open and refreshing—much more enjoyable than eating at a restaurant. I had checked the Hotel's website beforehand and resonated with its concept, which met my expectations perfectly. The stunning ocean view, the heated pool that could be enjoyed even on chilly nights, healthy meals made with local ingredients, and a beach within walking distance all helped cleanse both body and mind. It was truly detoxifying from the fatigue of city life. Above all else, the warmth of the staff left such an impression that I already want to visit again soon. On a personal note, I usually end up being in charge of laundry during trips. Despite hearing that they were fully booked during our stay, their coin laundry facilities were always available whenever I needed them—a small but delightful convenience! While this might not be ideal for parents who prefer shopping or watching TV at Hotels during trips, it's highly recommended for those looking to disconnect from their smartphones and escape daily chaos for some detox time! We visited as a family of six—both kids and adults left completely satisfied!

    Looking forward to the future

    The Room and Facility were very clean as the property is still new. However, although the attached pool was said to be usable even in March, it was too cold to enjoy. Even considering that there was an unusual cold wave during our visit, it seemed like a fundamental issue. Additionally, the water heater for the bath frequently stopped due to errors. Fortunately, we were able to confirm how to handle it with staff during their working hours, but without that knowledge, we might not have been able to take a bath at all. It was also inconvenient that you had to go outside of the Room to access the toilet. I wonder how things would be during summer when there are more insects around. The Facility is clean and the staff provided excellent service, which was truly appreciated!

    This year's No. 1 Hotel.

    I learned about this hotel during construction and after finding the press release, I finally got to stay at the place I was eager to visit. In conclusion, it was [spot on]. Okinawa in November, when the heat has subsided, is truly pleasant to be outside, making the stay even more comfortable. Stargazing while in the heated pool is highly recommended. The warm hospitality of the staff is also a recommended point. Even though it's such a wonderful hotel, it's a shame that IKYU's top photo is a wide shot of the building! I'll share some photos taken during my stay. Please enjoy an exquisite time. I will definitely visit again!
