    WELL Resort Fuji

    This was my first stay here. The Room, bath, and view were all wonderful. If possible, I think it would be nice to have a TV on the first floor as well. There was a projector, but it isn’t really usable during the day. However, I realized on the last day that the projector can connect via Bluetooth to the Bose speaker in the Room, so at night you can enjoy videos with great sound. Now to the main point! During my 3-night stay, I tried all three options: yakiniku, sukiyaki, and shabu-shabu. One note: for the yakiniku set, the beef tongue was labeled “premium tongue,” but most of it seemed to be tongue tip rather than premium cuts. Other than that, everything was delicious and very satisfying.

    That’s unfortunate…

    • Insufficient cleaning I arrived almost 30 minutes before the check-in time, and the Room was still being cleaned. Although I was able to check in at 3:00 PM, when I entered the Room, the kitchen sink and washbasin had not been wiped down and were soaking wet. • Misdirected message After that, I received an email sent by mistake containing another guest’s room key number and check-in number. The only message was “We sincerely apologize. This was sent in error.” I was disappointed by how careless this felt. • Poor preparation for Diamond member benefits Even after I called to follow up, I was told to come pick it up from another location. Then they said they had mistaken me for someone else, and we could not communicate properly. In the end, a staff member brought it to my Room later saying, “It isn’t chilled though…” • Inadequate response during an emergency Of course the weather played a role, but there was a power outage. Not only did the lights not work, but we also could not flush the toilet—yet there was no support or guidance from the owner at all. There were no emergency supplies whatsoever: no alternative food (we were left with bread that couldn’t be eaten unless we baked it ourselves), no water, and no way to flush the toilet. Even though there are only four Rooms, no one checked on us even once, which made us feel very anxious. When I called around 7:00 AM, all I was told was that service would be restored soon and that we should wait. When I checked TEPCO’s website it said restoration would be around 9:00 AM. If the owner had that information, I wanted them to share it with us. If staff who supposedly live nearby were confirmed safe, then someone could have come to bring water for flushing toilets or at least checked in on guests. Given both the room key mix-up and everything else above, I think the owner should seriously reconsider how they approach running this Accommodation. If there is no preparation or plan for emergencies like this one, I would not feel safe using it again.

    After staying one ni...

    After staying one night in Hakone, we visited here. Since the first night was at a Ryokan, we were initially confused by the self-service approach, but after check-in, it felt more like home and allowed us to relax. The room was a completely private space, and the bath was spacious and comfortable. Also, the grilled meat was delicious. Thank you very much!

    It was amazing!! Highly recommended.

    I found this accommodation while looking for a place to escape the summer heat and enjoy nature. It was my first time staying at this cottage-style accommodation. Half excited, half nervous. When we arrived at the accommodation, parked the car (though I thought the parking space was a bit small), and opened the front door, my first reaction was: "Wow, this is great!!" I was the first to open the door but immediately called my wife and child to show them. They also said: "Wow, this is nice!!" The room is spacious, stylish on both floors, and you can even see Mt. Fuji! It looks like a perfect place to relax! Dinner (and breakfast bread) were already prepared in the refrigerator upon arrival with delicious-looking meat and other ingredients (depending on your chosen plan). The food turned out to be delicious, making our stay enjoyable. The ingredients for day two were also incredibly tasty! The bath felt amazing—it’s an Onsen—and we also enjoyed using the sauna while taking in views of nature; it was truly refreshing. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days but felt like time flew by as we had such a relaxing and fun experience here. This is an accommodation I would highly recommend!

    It was excellent.

    The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. Although the weather was not favorable and we could only see Mt. Fuji early in the morning, we enjoyed the delicious meals. Since there were five of us, one person had to use an extra bed, which was noisy and uncomfortable, making it difficult to sleep well—this was unfortunate. We appreciated having a commemorative photo taken on our departure; it became a wonderful memory. Thank you very much!

    The view and the Onsen are excellent.

    The view and Onsen are excellent. The Room is spacious and clean, accommodating two families. However, there is only one TV on the second floor; having one on the first floor would be more convenient. On the first floor, there is a projector and a large screen, perfect for watching YouTube or movies. Dinner and breakfast are fully stocked in the refrigerator, but if you feel it's not enough, we recommend visiting a nearby supermarket. The rice cooker in the kitchen cooks delicious rice but does not have a warming function, so please take note. If you plan to cook, it’s advisable to bring your own oil and seasonings as they are not provided. After check-out, I realized I had forgotten my dress shirt; they kindly washed it and sent it back to me. Their attention to detail in service is outstanding.

    Accommodation on the way back

    We stayed as a group of four, including two energetic young children. Since it was our second night after a one-night stay elsewhere, having a washing machine with drying functionality was incredibly convenient. There were three detergent pods provided, and we used two of them. The children were thrilled with the spacious room and large bath. They even enjoyed a morning bath, treating it like a pool! Although the water temperature was slightly hot for them, they had so much fun. The facility was spotless and exceeded our expectations. Given the season of allergies and having kids around in such a large room, it would have been nice to have tissues placed in multiple spots. One minor issue was that the glass door between the dressing area and bathroom had gaps that allowed water to leak into the dressing area. Additionally, we noticed that trash from previous guests remained in one of the upstairs restroom bins, which was slightly disappointing. There is one TV located upstairs near the bed but not viewable from the sofa downstairs. While there is also a projector on the first floor near another bed, we found it difficult to use. Despite some minor inconveniences with TV placement, everyone relaxed comfortably during their stay here. We would love to stay at this accommodation again! However, being located in nature means we'd prefer visiting during seasons when insects are less active.

    Very clean and satisfying.

    The explanation at check-in was thorough, and the Room was new, clean, and well-maintained. I had a comfortable stay without any particular concerns. The meat prepared for dinner was delicious, and I enjoyed a barbecue that is hard to replicate at home. Although it was unfortunate that I couldn't see Mt. Fuji due to the weather, I believe I had an enjoyable time overall. Thank you for your hospitality; I look forward to another opportunity to visit. If I were to point out areas of improvement: - On the second day, as it snowed and we turned up the heating slightly higher, the second floor became dry. Since the bathroom and washroom got cold from outside air, we had no choice but to keep their doors closed. It would be great if there were humidifiers on the second floor as well (there was an air purifier). - In the sauna, outside air came in making my upper body hot while my lower body felt cold. Placing a towel-wrapped item inside against the glass door helped reduce airflow slightly; perhaps you could consider informing guests about this during winter months?

    I felt refreshed.

    Just 10 minutes from Gotemba Interchange, experience a day in another world with a stunning view of Mt. Fuji. Enjoy the ultimate relaxation with an Onsen and sauna while admiring Mt. Fuji. The accommodation is equipped with floor heating, air conditioning with humidifying functions, as well as heated toilets and washrooms, ensuring comfort even on cold January days. I look forward to staying here again!

    On your birthday

    This was my first time using a Vacation Rental, and it was incredibly clean. The staff provided clear explanations, and I would definitely like to use it again. There are supermarkets, convenience stores, and pharmacies nearby, so I had no trouble cooking. Next time, I'll come to see Mount Fuji when the weather is nice.

    Spacious Villa

    We were warmly welcomed with smiles upon arrival, and the explanation of the room was thorough, which made us feel at ease. The room was spacious enough for a family of four to relax comfortably. Please note that there is no TV on the first floor where the kitchen is located, so if you enjoy watching TV during your trip, it might be a good idea to bring a tablet or similar device (there is a TV on the second floor). During our winter stay, we found the toilet and washroom quite cold, raising concerns about heat shock; small heaters would be appreciated. Although it was described as having an Onsen, it seemed not to be an actual Onsen, which was slightly disappointing. There was also a small sauna available (which we did not use), but providing more bath towels per person rather than just one would be helpful. Unlike hotels with meals included, this accommodation offers greater flexibility and would likely appeal to families with children (please note that the stairs are steep). If weather permits, you can enjoy beautiful views of Mt. Fuji. Thank you for this wonderful experience!
