    Enjoy a Scandinavian-style getaway!

    Just as everyone wrote in their Reviews, everything—from the surroundings and the building to the furniture and amenities—was high quality and comfortable, and we were able to fully enjoy a Scandinavian-style getaway. Coffee on the terrace while listening to the birds singing was amazing! The only disappointment was that there were no wine glasses!! They’re an essential item for our meals, so we would really appreciate it if you could provide them. Thank you in advance.

    Relaxation

    Thank you very much for providing such a wonderful Accommodation. It was my first trip in a while, and I was able to enjoy an extraordinary getaway. Everything was of high quality, and I was very satisfied. The Room was also kept clean, making my stay very comfortable. It felt like a glimpse into how happy it would be to live in such a lovely environment every day. I would love to stay again if I have the opportunity.

    A Luxurious Stay

    We stayed here as a couple to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Although it was sunny, the wind was so strong and cold that we gave up on the BBQ. Instead, we started our celebration indoors with a champagne toast. We played our favorite songs on the built-in speakers, put on an English-language movie on the TV, and enjoyed appetizers and meat we bought at Himawari Market supermarket and Meat Ikeda butcher shop with the recommended sauce. We switched to whisky highballs, and before we knew it, it was dark outside the window as we celebrated 20 years together with gratitude. To finish, we had cup ramen from a convenience store—guilty pleasure at its best—and after a bath, we sipped craft beer by the pellet stove while waiting to get sleepy. It was such a luxurious time; this may be the first trip where I didn’t come home thinking “there’s no place like home.” Next time, we definitely want to do a BBQ. ~Thank you~ The coordinated tableware and cooking utensils, appliances, thorough cleaning, welcome letter, and manuals on how to use the Facility—everywhere we could feel the staff’s thoughtful care. We had an extremely comfortable stay. Thank you very much.

    Cottage for a Vacation Home Experience

    This is my fourth stay. It’s very relaxing. There are restaurants nearby, and you can also do some light cooking, so you can decide based on your mood. There’s also a washing machine, so you can do your laundry before heading home. Highly recommended!

    An extraordinary experience where time flows slowly.

    A charming log cottage nestled quietly in the forest. From the moment we discovered it, our family’s extraordinary experience began. Opening the solid front door, we were greeted by a refreshing and soft pine scent, as if stepping into a Nordic forest. Passing through the slightly narrow entrance hall, a large wooden sash window revealed a picturesque view of the forest, framed like an artwork. The sloped ceiling created a luxurious sense of openness that captivated us with its design reminiscent of Alvar Aalto's masterpiece homes. Not too big and not too small—just the right scale for our family of three. The tasteful interior decor and accessories scattered throughout added joy to our stay. Then came a special moment after sunset: lighting up the pellet stove provided in the accommodation. Surrounded by deep darkness in an unlit forest brought slight unease at first, but gazing at the warm flames quickly dispelled those feelings. Encircled by endless trees while watching firelight—it felt as though this sense of comfort was deeply ingrained in humanity’s long memory as "beings." Even away from home, there was an inexplicable homely warmth here. As we gathered around the dining table as a family, time seemed to flow gently. For us living busy lives in urban areas, it felt like something truly important could be found within this extraordinary experience—and perhaps only because we stayed in an authentic log house did we realize it. As we left this wonderful log cottage behind with hopes to visit again someday, another dream sprouted: building even just a small log cabin retreat for ourselves one day. Thank you for providing such a valuable experience! To everyone reading this review—I highly recommend staying here!

    Wonderful time!

    This was my first time staying here. The brand-new log house had a pleasant wooden scent, making my stay very comfortable. The accommodation was impeccably clean. It’s just a 5-minute walk to Risonare Yatsugatake, so I enjoyed strolling around and visiting the shops. Lawson is also less than a 5-minute walk away. When exiting the Kobuchizawa Interchange, turning right offers an easier route with scenic views. The road leading to Pieni Mokki is quite narrow and can be a bit tricky to find at first. However, I managed to reach it using the simple map provided in advance as there are no signs for Pieni Mokki; I relied on its exterior appearance for guidance. The furniture and appliances were all high-quality—Balmuada toaster and oven range, Kinujo hair dryer with excellent performance, and spacious Iittala Origo mugs. As for amenities, there were no hairbrushes or cotton swabs provided. Toothpaste was in very small quantity, so if you prefer using more generously, it’s better to bring your own. I enjoy cooking during my stays at accommodations with kitchens; however, this time the refrigerator was not user-friendly—it looked stylish but was difficult to open/close and had limited space in the fridge compartment. Even on maximum cooling settings ("strong"), it didn’t chill effectively—perhaps just something one needs to get used to... Also, having more dishware would have been nice—I missed having plates available. I had a wonderful time enjoying breakfast on the wooden deck and taking walks around the neighborhood! The high ceilings, skylights, large windows—all of these features were truly lovely! Thank you very much!

    The best Vacation Rental!

    I stayed for one night with my friends at the end of July! After carefully considering various Vacation Rentals, I’m so glad we chose this one. We had a truly comfortable two days. Thank you so much!! What I especially appreciated was that we didn’t have to wash the dishes used for BBQ; we just placed them in a plastic box. It was super convenient! (The BBQ dishes were adorable wooden-style ones.) The reason I rated the Facility aspect 4 stars is because of the kitchen sink. The dish drying rack was made of soft material, and I was worried that our lovely Nordic tableware might fall off and break. If this could be improved, it would make the stay even more comfortable... The place is clean and very well-maintained, plus there’s a BBQ gazebo on-site, so I’ll definitely stay here again! Thank you for everything!

    A special cottage with thoughtful hospitality

    After a 10-month break, our stay exceeded expectations once again with the gentle scent of pinewood and the impeccably clean interior, just as we remembered. Despite accommodating many guests, the cleanliness is maintained to an impressive standard, which we found truly remarkable. The harmony in color coordination of furniture, decor, and art was delightful, and the use of authentic Nordic tableware added a special touch. The next morning at 5:30 AM, we enjoyed the tranquility on the terrace while being soothed by birdsong from various parts of the forest. We were delighted to spot species like Daurian redstarts, buntings, and Japanese bush warblers among others. My wife particularly admired the delicate and thoughtful illustrations in "Pieni Mokki Dayori," finding them very tasteful. This accommodation is an ideal place to escape daily hustle and enjoy peaceful moments in serenity—it did not disappoint. Everything was perfect!

    I had a relaxing time.

    We had a relaxing two-day stay despite some rain. However, on the second day, while relaxing in the living room after a walk, we experienced an unexpected power outage, which startled us. The house breaker seemed fine, and the neighboring houses still had electricity. After contacting the manager by phone, they responded promptly within about 15 minutes. We were informed that there is an external breaker as well, but no explanation was provided regarding the cause of the outage. This left us feeling uneasy for the remainder of our stay until checkout.

    I planned a trip to Yamanashi for my birthday, but the area around Fujinomiya, which I initially wanted to visit, was extremely expensive due to inbound tourists and lacked good options. So, I kept adjusting my plans and decided to stay at this Facility instead. The result was a huge success... Good job to myself for discovering such an amazing place! Initially, I thought of dining at a winery restaurant but couldn’t find a suitable spot. Instead, I bought my favorite wine and ingredients from Himawari Market (a somewhat famous local supermarket) and changed the Plan to cook and enjoy meals here. That turned out to be the perfect choice! After arriving, we used almost all the appliances available in the Facility to prepare a wonderful dinner that we thoroughly enjoyed. The dishwasher also came in very handy. The equipment provided is truly excellent. With so many items available here, I worry that some might be taken by inbound guests—it’s enough for me to suggest implementing a deposit system! Thank you so much for letting us stay in such a clean, well-equipped, and beautiful home!

    It felt just like a small private villa.

    The moment I opened the door, I was thrilled by the unexpected luxury, cleanliness, and the pleasant scent of wood. I didn’t expect any seasonings to be provided, but there were essentials like olive oil, salt, and black pepper in the kitchen, which was very helpful. The dishes and cutlery were also adorable and made me happy. There was a Marshall speaker in the room, and it was fun preparing meals while listening to music with its clear sound. The outdoor barbecue grill was easy to use; we grilled steaks perfectly and enjoyed them with wine. At night, we stayed warm by the pellet stove while staying up late—it became such a memorable experience. In the morning, I had coffee on an outdoor bench and saw a squirrel near the forest right in front of me—it was so cute! Everything in the room was spotless, and all facilities were new, making our stay incredibly comfortable. I felt like moving into Pieni Mokki! I will definitely stay here again!

    Great!

    The first night was spent at Hoshino Resort Yatsugatake. The second and third nights were enjoyed at Pieni Mokki. It was my first time staying in a rental villa, but everything from the room furnishings, layout, to the location was perfect—this has been the most satisfying experience so far! On the final day, squirrels appeared in the garden, allowing us to fully enjoy nature. I would love to stay here again!

    I had a relaxing stay.

    【Positive Points】 The pellet stove provided warmth and comfort, making our stay enjoyable. The atmosphere of the Room was also excellent. A manual for using the Facility was available, which was clear and helpful. Our child had fun creating a hideout next to the bed. The starry sky was incredibly beautiful, offering an extraordinary experience. 【Concerns】 There were no major complaints; however, a few trees on the property (or neighboring land) appeared to be leaning, raising slight concerns about them falling due to wind or snow. In fact, we noticed a tree had fallen in an area where there had been none the previous day, which made us feel slightly uneasy (apologies if this is a misunderstanding).

    I had a relaxing holiday.

    It was early March, and although it had just snowed and was still cold, we decided to skip the BBQ in the gazebo. However, the children were thrilled to play in the beautiful snow that had lightly accumulated in the garden. The pellet stove and heating facilities were excellent, making the indoors very comfortable. The parking lot and surrounding roads were cleared of snow, so there were no inconveniences. As soon as we opened the front door, we were greeted by a pleasant wooden aroma. The lovely Nordic-style interior and clean rooms made us feel like we were staying at a private villa, offering an escape from everyday life. The location is great with many shops within walking distance, making it enjoyable to explore the area on foot. I would love to visit again during a different season!

    It exceeded my expectations!

    For dinner, we bought takeout and vegetables and wine nearby. At night, when I went out on the deck and looked up, I experienced the starry sky as rumored. The surroundings were completely silent, and it felt like all my fatigue and stress melted away from my head. Even though it's an area with Risonare (Rizunare) and shops, thanks to the valley and forest here, it felt more private than expected. There was no sign of other people besides us. This is the charm of a cottage. The bathroom had a rain shower, allowing me to stretch my legs in the bathtub... it was very warming. Also, this is personally important to me: there were no dark scary spaces in the corners of the Room! Rooms at travel destinations often have cluttered or hard-to-see shadowy areas that are dirty or seem like they might have bugs—it's scary. But our Room was simple with good visibility and very cleanly maintained. So I could relax freely, feel secure, and sleep well. Next time I'd like to stay for about two nights without any plans so I can spend more time relaxing. Thank you very much!

    A log house with exceptional comfort

    Everything was very comfortable! Each Room was thoroughly cleaned, and the dishes were neatly organized, conveying the cleaning staff's care for the guests. The garden is surrounded by a grove, ensuring privacy and exuding the atmosphere of Yatsugatake. We enjoyed a BBQ in the newly installed gazebo in the garden, buying Koshu beef from a nearby butcher for a delightful evening! The atmosphere was excellent, and the food was delicious. It wasn't too cold yet, but we used the pellet stove since it was there! It seems it will provide comfortable warmth when it gets colder. This is the best rental villa we've ever stayed in! Definitely coming back! We'll use it again in early spring!

    A small and cute cottage

    Although it is a bit compact, I think it is a facility sufficient for a cottage experience. The kitchen was well-equipped with various cooking utensils, which was great. However, I was a bit concerned because I thought there were two bedrooms, but in reality, there was only one, and the living room and bedroom were not completely separated, so I felt it was a bit inconvenient as the light and voices from the living room could be heard while sleeping. Nevertheless, it became a fun memory. Thank you very much.

    A log house that soothes with refreshing air.

    I have stayed several times and am always healed by the refreshing clean air. The room not only has the unique scent of wood from the log house but also excellent heat retention, so even if it's cold outside, the room maintains a comfortable temperature, allowing for a restful sleep. I also loved the Nordic furniture and other interior decorations in the room. New barbecue facilities have been set up around the terrace, and I would love to try BBQ next time! I'm glad I could spend my vacation in a log house that perfectly matches the scenery of Yatsugatake!

    Very lovely cottage

    I stayed for one night the other day. It was very clean as it is a newly built place. There was a kitchen and a washing machine, and although meals were not provided, I bought various things at the roadside station and cooked for myself. It might have been even better if BBQ was possible. The room was cool, and there was no need for air conditioning. The location was also good, and I would like to visit again.
