  What is a boutique Hotel?

  【Positive Points】 - The building is relatively new. - They were flexible in accommodating our request to have a charcoal BBQ. 【Negative Points】 - Although the Vacation Rental system is used for efficiency, it requires registering all personal information and a photo before check-in, which feels cumbersome (other IKYU.com Vacation Rentals haven’t required this much). - The surrounding area is overgrown with weeds, attracting many mosquitoes. While there are mosquito coils provided, they are insufficient; providing insect repellent spray would be more considerate. - Cleaning was not thorough; the frying pan and other dishes were greasy and had to be washed before use. It seems like part-time staff might not be properly supervised (though they quickly brought paper plates when we complained). - Accessing the restroom requires going up and down stairs, which could be challenging for elderly guests. - Check-in/check-out times are one hour later than standard: Check-in from 4 PM / Check-out by 10 AM. - Messages from the Vacation Rental system feel impersonal; for example, after our stay, we received an email saying only: "Taro Yamada-DIA-sama Thank you for staying with us today." It’s unclear if this was a genuine thank-you or just a formal automated message. 【Summary】 Although it calls itself a boutique hotel, it’s essentially just a vacation rental property. Naturally, entry is via passcode access with management handled through surveillance cameras and online systems—it doesn’t feel like they genuinely care about their guests' experience.

We are delighted to hear that you were satisfied with the modernity of our building and our flexible approach to BBQ arrangements. On the other hand, we deeply apologize for any inconvenience caused regarding the pre-check-in registration process, cleanliness, pest control, check-in/out times, facility structure concerns, and post-stay message responses. Regarding identity verification before check-in, we are required by law to implement this process. However, we will consider ways to make it clearer and less burdensome for our guests. We also apologize for any discomfort caused by weeds or pests in the surrounding area. We will strengthen regular weed removal efforts and improve equipment maintenance. To address cleaning issues, we will review our post-cleaning inspection procedures and ensure thorough re-education of our cleaning staff to prevent recurrence. As for your comments on messages from us after your stay, upon reviewing delivery records, it appears that multiple notifications were sent as usual. However, due to a possible temporary system glitch or reception issue on your end, some messages may not have been received. This may have resulted in a formal impression rather than conveying genuine gratitude effectively—a matter we deeply regret and reflect upon sincerely. Our accommodation aims to balance the freedom of a "vacation rental" with the comfort and design aesthetics of a "boutique hotel." Unfortunately, during this stay, we fell short of achieving this ideal—a fact we take seriously. Moving forward, based on customer feedback like yours, we will strive to create an even warmer service experience and more comfortable environment.   It was very nice with a beautiful view of the sea.

  A perfect vacation rental with a stunning view of the beautiful sea from the large windows of the dining and living area, set in a location rich in nature. The facility is new, clean, and comfortable. It is equipped with everything you need, including a drum-type washer with dryer. It is also suitable for long-term stays. We had a wonderful experience as a family. We are grateful for the complimentary drinks and water provided in the refrigerator. We got a bit confused with the parking... The parking lot is right next to the bridge leading to this building, on a gravel area. Also, this facility is located in a villa area (residential area) near Omuroyama, and you arrive by climbing a slope and following narrow roads that branch off in several directions. You need to drive slowly and carefully check the navigation system, or you might end up on a different road, so caution is necessary. We went with a car that is 2 meters wide, and it was manageable.
