    The service is excellent, but the pool and the road right in front of the property are...

    We stayed at MINATO with a pool and sauna for 5 nights. [What we liked] The staff were extremely kind. When we were nervous about the road, they even led the way by car. We were happy to find an amazing amount of complimentary drinks (including alcohol), snacks, fruit, and more. They also run a beach hut at Shinmaiko Beach and kindly served us drinks there as well. The Room was clean, and there was a large washing machine. The sauna was spacious, clean, and very enjoyable. [What we didn’t like] The riverside road to the house felt very dangerous. In many places there is no fence on the river side, the road is only wide enough for one standard car to barely pass, and there is also a ditch on the other side that’s hard to see because of overgrown grass. It was scary even during the day, but at night it becomes completely dark and felt too frightening to drive. If possible, showing this access road in a video would be very helpful when choosing an Accommodation. It seems groundwater is used (there was a notice), but as stated it had a slippery feel with a sulfur smell. The alkaline water seemed good for skin, but it isn’t drinkable without boiling—and above all, the sulfur smell during toothbrushing was honestly quite strong. Upstairs there are three beds lined up. Besides the large garden-facing window (with curtains), there are smaller windows on both sides without curtains, so morning sunlight came in intensely and we couldn’t sleep. Also, two emergency exit signs were too bright and bothered us at night. We wanted to enjoy the pool and sauna privately, but contractors or Hotel staff entered the property or Room a total of three times. It was disappointing not to have privacy despite paying a high price. The pool was much smaller than expected—completely toddler-sized—so you can only soak rather than swim. With more depth it would have been much more enjoyable. We made our Reservation mainly for the pool, so this was truly disappointing. There were also many insects floating in the water often, and you have no choice but to clean it yourself. Every night in the garden we saw an unbelievably large toad. There were always lots of crabs, palm-sized spiders, mosquitoes, and other insects in the garden. Even with insect repellent we got bitten terribly many times, so it’s difficult to spend long periods enjoying time outside. Items like pots and frying pans were small, while there was only one extremely large knife—so it may be inconvenient for guests cooking during a Multiple Night Stay. For groups of three or more people، there isn’t enough sofa seating.

    The layout and flow are perfect!

    If you love saunas, campfires, and quiet surroundings, this is the place to go. The sauna layout is very well designed. You can dive into the pool straight from the sauna, then relax either on a chair or in front of the campfire—perfect for unwinding. We stayed for a Multiple Night Stay, and it would be even better if there were a vacuum cleaner available for longer stays. * Drinks are all-inclusive. There was a good selection and quantity, which we really appreciated! There’s also a 7-Eleven, FamilyMart, a supermarket, and a drugstore nearby, so you won’t have any trouble if you need anything.

    Stylish, clean, and charming vacation rental

    We stayed for two nights with two infants and three generations in their 20s and 50s. Everyone's feedback: "It was amazing!!" On the day of arrival, we enjoyed the beach at Kazusa-Minamoto and the private villa's pool with the infants. On a rainy second day, we strolled along the river to a nearby beach, enjoyed fireworks at a covered fire pit, and adults were delighted with the spacious and clean sauna. The beds were comfortable, and everything from the kitchen to the fully automatic washing machine to the bathroom was functional, allowing us to stay comfortably without any issues. The barbecue ingredients were excellent, and delivery sushi from a nearby restaurant was also very delicious. Before our stay, they carefully confirmed our preferences in detail. Unlike hotels, meal times were entirely flexible—this made us very satisfied! The reason for deducting stars is that cleaning up after meals naturally increased our workload compared to staying at a hotel (which is understandable). Additionally, while the bathroom was spacious and clean without any issues, it wasn't equipped with an automatic water heater—but this wasn’t really a problem either. There were plenty of easy-to-use towels available—even extra ones for sauna use—which was very helpful! We would love to stay here again!!

    Highly recommended! We had an amazing experience!

    We chose this accommodation for our family of four (including two elementary school children) and our 13-year-old senior dog, looking for a stress-free and enjoyable stay for everyone. The only downside was the narrow gravel road along the unfenced riverside leading to the facility, which made driving a bit nerve-wracking. The room was very stylish, with thoughtful touches like high-quality towels, making it very comfortable. For BBQ, we bought some seafood at a nearby supermarket but found it unnecessary as there was plenty of meat provided. The included BBQ sauce was delicious as well. Leftover meat and vegetables were used to make yakisoba for breakfast, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The next morning, with a relaxed checkout time, my husband and son went cycling using the bicycles provided by the facility while my daughter and I enjoyed the pool and sauna until the last minute. Having access to laundry facilities made post-trip cleanup much easier—another reason we were highly satisfied! However, there were quite a few flies and bugs in the room, and toothbrushes did not come with toothpaste; these are minor points of improvement. We hope to visit again while our beloved dog is still healthy—thank you so much!

    Stay with babies and dogs

    From the moment we arrived, everyone was excited! The dog ran freely on the lawn, while the adults explored the Room and were thrilled by its cleanliness and impressed by the spacious sauna. The facilities were so well-equipped that we had no trouble with daily necessities, and everything was spotless. The sauna was large enough for up to 5 people and very clean—a proper sauna experience for relaxation. This time, we brought our own ingredients for a BBQ. The layout was convenient, making it easy to navigate even with a baby or a dog, allowing us to relax comfortably. With the ocean right in front of us, we tried fishing in the morning but didn’t catch anything; still, everyone enjoyed their hobbies within sight of each other. We used two buildings during our stay, which allowed two families to enjoy time together while maintaining privacy—a truly satisfying trip!
