As requested in the comments at the time of Reservation, you kindly changed the meal menu between the first and second days, and we enjoyed both very much. The staff were naturally friendly and easy to talk to while still being professional, which made our stay very comfortable. We look forward to staying with you again.

    We stayed here to celebrate a family birthday. We sincerely appreciate the warm hospitality of the staff who assisted us. The food was delicious, and we left feeling completely satisfied. We also enjoyed the sauna, open-air bath, and projector.

    A Different Way to Stay

    We stayed here for a family trip. We have previously stayed in a renovated traditional house rented as an entire home, and we loved the experience—enjoying something out of the ordinary while still relaxing as if at home. Because our family’s satisfaction was so high, we chose the same style again this time. Now that the kids are older, each of us has our own hobbies and preferred ways to spend time. Being in the same space while still having a little breathing room in how we use our time feels comfortable for everyone. Unlike a Hotel, we were able to enjoy the luxurious spaciousness of a single-story home at our own pace—along with the fireplace, bonfire, and private sauna. The Facility and services were not excessive; they felt just right and comfortable. The bonfire and fireplace especially delighted our children—we enjoyed our stay so much that they barely had time to use the game console we brought. This time we brought our own ingredients, and we really appreciated how quickly you supported us when we had questions about tools or supplies. On the other hand, perhaps because meal-provided Plans are your main offering, we found the cooking utensils, tableware, and seasonings a bit limited. If you plan to cook with your own ingredients, checking the available items in detail beforehand will make your stay even more comfortable. Even so, once inside the Accommodation it was so cozy that we didn’t want to go out at all—it was an extremely satisfying stay overall. The plum blossoms on the property were in full bloom during our visit and were beautiful. The staff member who assisted us was also very courteous, which made us feel at ease throughout our stay. You can fill the cold-water tub with hot water to use it as an open-air bath. ○Differences between Hana and Tsubomi Tsubomi features a Japanese-style Room with futons, while Hana features a Western-style Room with beds. Both Rooms are spacious. ○Child-friendly services Yes. Children’s meals can be prepared, and diaper disposal is also available.

    Stayed with a friend's family. Dinner time was a bit hectic with children, but the staff efficiently prepared everything and even entertained the kids, which was incredibly helpful! We had a wonderful time together with our friends! Would love to stay again.

    I usually don't write reviews, but I feel this accommodation might be misunderstood, so I hope this helps. The location and facilities are excellent. However, I absolutely do not recommend it for those who prioritize service and hospitality. If you visit expecting the experience of a typical ryokan or hotel with high-quality service and attentive hospitality, you may feel disappointed. This place is ideal for those who want to enjoy activities like campfires or cooking for themselves, as well as groups or large families looking to have a casual and lively time together. There are features like a screen, sauna, and garden that can make the stay enjoyable depending on how they are used. That said, if you're someone who is usually busy and wants to relax without doing anything during your trip—like mothers or wives hoping to unwind—you may find yourself having to work more than expected here. Please keep that in mind. While the staff were doing their best despite being short-handed, unless professionals in service are employed or there’s better explanation about the facility provided, I question whether it should be listed as a luxury accommodation on IKYU.com...

    It was an accommodation where both adults and children could smile from the heart.

    Blessed with great weather, we were truly soothed by the lush green scenery visible from the window. In the spacious garden, we played freely with our children in nature, visited a nearby park, and enjoyed watching fireflies at night, creating special family memories. The bath was large and impressive, and the outdoor cold water bath for sauna use could also be enjoyed as an open-air bath. At night, we gathered around the fireplace; the children watched movies on a projector while adults relaxed in the sauna, spending luxurious and peaceful moments together. With both rooms combined accommodating up to 12 people, we plan to rent out two Rooms next time for three generations of our family to enjoy together.

    A highly recommended hidden gem accommodation for your trip to Mount Akagi.

    While searching for a relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo, I came across an accommodation called "Shurai Sansou." Located on the southern foothills of Mount Akagi, I immediately made a reservation to include sightseeing around the mountain. On the day of arrival, we reached the accommodation at exactly 3 PM. The staff warmly welcomed us in the parking lot. The atmosphere was unique, blending elements of both a hotel and a ryokan—something I had never experienced before. The entrance splits into two sections, and we stayed in "Tsubomi no Ma." This room can accommodate large groups as well. The room itself was stylish, exceptionally clean, and incredibly spacious—my first impression was simply amazement at how large it was! The view from the veranda offered a serene landscape that truly helped me unwind. The bathroom was also spacious with deep bathtubs that allowed us to enjoy their comfort even during rainy season visits. We were particularly excited about using their outdoor sauna (one of our deciding factors for booking). It’s designed as a box-type sauna for two people with high temperatures—it exceeded our expectations! Additionally, there’s not only an ice-cold water bath but also warm water available—a delightful surprise that allowed us to use it as an open-air bath both at night and in the morning. This felt like pure luxury! For dinner, we debated whether or not to include it when making our reservation but ultimately decided to add it—and what an excellent decision that turned out to be! Since there aren’t many restaurants nearby and considering drinking alcohol during dinner would make staying in more convenient anyway—it worked perfectly for us. Although I forgot to take photos of our meal (unfortunately), we enjoyed delicious shabu-shabu dishes thoroughly prepared by them. There is also access provided if you prefer cooking yourself using local ingredients purchased nearby thanks due having kitchen facilities available within rooms too! Everything about this place—from its thoughtful design details down-to-earth hospitality left lasting impressions upon me; even coffee beans are freshly ground by guests themselves showcasing quality service throughout every aspect here. I learned “Shurai” derives inspiration symbolically representing plum blossoms which adds another layer charm behind naming choice itself while staff members remained friendly approachable throughout stay ensuring utmost comfort possible always present whenever needed assistance required anytime whatsoever seamlessly handled professionally overall experience enhanced further beyond expectations set initially beforehand prior arrival date scheduled earlier planned itinerary accordingly adjusted accordingly without issue encountered along way smooth process entirely hassle-free enjoyable     We stayed with our 10-month-old daughter and had a very comfortable experience in this private accommodation. The interior was clean, and the spacious living area allowed our daughter to play safely. The kitchen was user-friendly, making it easy to prepare baby food. In the quiet environment, our baby slept well. It was a wonderful accommodation where families with children can stay with peace of mind. We would love to visit again!

    Room, hospitality, and meals are impeccable.

    We stayed with a 1-night, 2-day Plan including dinner and breakfast. The warm welcome upon arrival was very pleasant. Since it was raining, we were guided to the entrance with an umbrella. Dinner was served right after check-in, featuring carefully selected ingredients such as sukiyaki and rice cooked in a traditional pot—truly exquisite dishes. The Room itself was a beautifully designed space that looked great from any angle. Although we stayed as a couple this time, the Room was spacious enough to accommodate families with children or larger groups of friends comfortably. Additionally, the location is perfect for us as golfers since there is a golf course nearby.

    A Grown-Up Reunion at a Forest Villa

    After graduation, our high school classmates, who still maintain a close bond and occasionally gather, planned a trip together. Initially intended for a small group, the number of participants grew to 6 men and 4 women after sharing the accommodation details. Although we were concerned about whether we could relax with such a large group, the living and dining area in "Hana no Ma" was incredibly spacious. The women staying in "Tsubomi no Ma" ended up spending most of their time in "Hana no Ma." After check-in, we enjoyed relaxing in the sauna and bath surrounded by lush forest—a truly luxurious experience that allowed us to unwind completely. Dinner began with intricate appetizers followed by shabu-shabu as the main course. Both meat and vegetables were served in generous portions that seemed impossible to finish; however, thanks to the delicious broth, we couldn’t stop eating until even the closing soba noodles were nearly gone. It was an exceptional dinner filled with delightful conversations. Post-dinner hours were spent relaxing in the spacious living room where some played guitar or sang nostalgic songs—including our school anthem—accompanied by YouTube music. It felt like traveling back to our high school days without any interruptions—a truly special time. As a coffee enthusiast, I thoroughly enjoyed grinding beans provided by the accommodation using their mill and brewing fresh coffee with paper filters—a moment of pure bliss for me. Breakfast featured steamed salmon, fresh vegetables, and freshly cooked rice—an ideal start to nourish both body and soul for another day ahead. The staff took care of every detail during our stay and made sure all ten of us had an incredibly comfortable experience. Thank you so much! We might bring an even larger group next time but look forward to visiting again soon!

    Recommended to use both Rooms together!

    I stayed with a friend! The building is divided into two rooms, and we stayed in the "Tsubomi" room this time, but we also got to see the neighboring "Hana" room. You can rent both rooms together, which would be great for mixed-gender company retreats or stays with family friends—separate baths, toilets, and bedrooms but sharing meals in one living room. There’s a private sauna that you can use at your preferred timing without worrying about others. The view of nature right in front was truly relaxing. The accommodation also has a projector, and there wasn’t enough time to enjoy everything fully. Next time, I’d love to stay with a larger group!

    Stylish Property I think it's perfect for a family trip! The sauna is also great! Additionally, if you love cooking, you can create a wonderful atmosphere. By the way, I enjoyed fresh oysters in the shell and prepared fugu sashimi and fugu hot pot for a feast!

    An exceptional accommodation experience that will impress even the most discerning guests, healing both mind and body!

    My husband and I visited together. Two months ago, my husband stayed here with his college friends, and he wanted to share the satisfaction with me as a couple. This visit turned out to be far beyond my expectations of a "one-night, two-day trip"—it was an absolutely delightful stay. We were welcomed by beautiful autumn foliage projected onto a large retractable screen and the warm smiles of the staff before entering the spacious living-dining area. We immediately lit the fireplace, enjoying its crackling sound in a cozy atmosphere! Every detail—from tables and chairs to sofas, tableware, and amenities—was tastefully designed. We ground coffee beans using the provided mill for freshly brewed coffee. After dinner, we enjoyed a bonfire in the garden under a sky full of stars due to minimal surrounding lights—it felt like being in a planetarium. The low beds perfectly suited for Japanese-style rooms were even more comfortable than our carefully chosen bed at home... And after relaxing in our private sauna, we had an incredible night's sleep. The meals were perfect—100 out of 100 points! Both dinner and breakfast featured plenty of delicious local vegetables. The original Yame tea bags and aromatic coffee beans added extra charm. Every thoughtful touch left us deeply impressed—we can't wait to share this experience with many friends! This time we spent quality time as just the two of us; however, it would also be great for multi-generational trips with our daughter's family or lively gatherings with friends. My husband even envisioned using it for off-site meetings with executives or young employees—it seems like an ideal setting for generating brilliant ideas! It truly suits various situations. Overall, this accommodation was so exceptional that even someone like me who tends to be critical was moved beyond words!
