    A Villa Where You and Your Dog Can Stay in Comfort

    A bit pricey, but the furniture and beds are high quality, and the place feels clean and upscale. The tableware and kitchen tools were also stylish and easy to use. What felt most comfortable was the spacious entryway area with a large pet toilet—thoughtfully set up so our dog was less likely to have accidents, which let us relax without worry. The sauna is also well designed with a great flow from the bath, making it very comfortable. We’d love to stay again!

    I’d love to stay here again.

    Both the Room and the Facility are still new and spotless, and the wooden interior gives it a Takayama feel. Everything you could need is provided for both pets and people, so it feels like you could arrive empty-handed. It was also conveniently close to downtown Takayama. For me, it’s a bit far to visit, but I’d love to stay again when I return to Takayama. This time was only one night, but next time I’d like to enjoy a Multiple Night Stay. Thank you very much.

    A cozy space

    I stayed with my son’s family. The interior design was tasteful and clean, and the kitchen was well equipped, so we were very satisfied. We were also delighted that there were dog supplies and treats provided. We couldn’t have a campfire on the first day due to rain, but the terrace has a roof, so we had no problem enjoying a barbecue. The bathroom was spacious, and there was an authentic sauna as well—everyone was very happy. If I had to mention one thing, it would be even better if the garden looked nicer from the outside, as there were construction vehicles parked there. Other than that, we were truly satisfied and would like to come again. Thank you very much.

    The Room, bath, toil...

    The Room, bath, toilet, and sauna were all very clean and spotless, and there was nothing that concerned us. The welcome drinks were free with a wide variety to choose from, and dog supplies, kitchen items, seasonings, plastic wrap, and aluminum foil were all provided. There were clear instructions for the BBQ and campfire as well, and it was easy to get the fire started, which was very helpful. It was an extremely comfortable and wonderful Accommodation—we definitely want to come again!!

    It was comfortable.

    We visited with two small dogs. The room was clean, beautiful, and comfortable. There was a treat assortment for the dogs in the room, and it included a separate ingredient list. Since one of our dogs has allergies, we often can't let them eat treats without knowing the ingredients, so we were very happy to see them enjoy it safely. There were also SW-size pet sheets, diapers, paw stickers, wipes, bags, and a spacious toilet cage in the entryway. These thoughtful amenities made it incredibly convenient for us as pet owners. Both humans and dogs had an easy and pleasant stay here. We’d love to visit again when it gets warmer! For humans as well, there were plenty of complimentary drinks in the fridge and fully equipped kitchenware available. The layout of this single-story house was so comfortable that I thought I’d love to live in such a place when I get older—it even made me curious about how much it would cost to build something like this!

    Pets and family will be satisfied.

    The location was easy to find, and the room was clean. There were no issues with the sauna not heating up as mentioned in some reviews (it was snowing on the day). Both our pet and family were satisfied. We will use this place again when visiting Takayama. Thank you!

    The Best Accommodation

    The accommodation was truly amazing! First, the sauna was impressive. You can fully enjoy the löyly and stay comfortably for as long as you like. The seamless flow from the sauna to the bath was excellent, leaving both body and mind refreshed. The room was very convenient, equipped with all necessary kitchen tools, making it easy to prepare simple meals or warm drinks. Even our dog felt comfortable, and we all relaxed together. Additionally, enjoying a bonfire while snow quietly fell around us was exceptional—a luxurious moment away from everyday life. We highly recommend staying at this accommodation for at least two nights to fully unwind. It’s a wonderful place that will leave your heart and body fulfilled.

    I visited for the first time about a month ago and loved it. The weather was good with no worries about snow, and since my work timing was convenient and there was availability, I immediately made a reservation. The free use of BBQ facilities and dog supplies is very appreciated, and my dog had so much fun running freely outside. This is my favorite accommodation. I would love to visit again around spring.

    A fulfilling time

    We chose this accommodation because it allows dogs. Despite some places being disappointing due to insufficient cleaning, especially for those of us who ensure our dogs are well-trained, this accommodation was very clean. However, one concern was that when wiping the floor, there were some hidden stains not visible at first glance. We stayed during the autumn foliage season and would love to plan a multiple night stay next time. The amenities for both guests and dogs were delightful. We also appreciated the ample supply of firewood and charcoal, which allowed us to enjoy a fulfilling time.

    Would love to stay again!

    We stayed for two nights as a couple with a small dog. The room was very clean and comfortable. This is an accommodation I would recommend to everyone! Thank you very much. The only thing is, since it was a multiple night stay, I wish there had been a washer-dryer available.

    It was a wonderful trip.

    We stayed for one night with my husband, who loves golf and saunas, our two college-aged daughters, and our two dogs. Despite the unfortunate weather, the rain stopped, and we were able to enjoy both a barbecue and a campfire without any issues. We have stayed at similar accommodations before, but this was by far the best. The building, interior design, sofa, table—perhaps they are made from local Hida Takayama furniture?—all exuded luxury and were impeccably clean. Even our daughters were thoroughly satisfied. The private terrace was left in its natural state rather than having concrete floors or walls, which provided a very relaxing atmosphere; it felt like staying in a private villa. The welcome drinks were abundant and even included a full bottle of white wine! This time we brought our own wine glasses after confirming their availability beforehand; however, it would be great if wine glasses could be added to the amenities. The sauna was fantastic as well but initially had some setup issues. We tried contacting the listed phone number for assistance but received no response or follow-up call back. Additionally, the hourglass timer was broken, which was disappointing. Both my family and our dogs had an amazing time here—it has made Hida Takayama a place we want to visit again in the future.     Highly satisfied!

    A place where you can stay with your dog and enjoy BBQ. The staff at the reception were friendly, and there were plenty of services available! Traveling with a dog often means carrying less luggage, but the provided amenities were very helpful. Thank you so much!

    Excellent

    Close to the downtown area with plenty of restaurants and supermarkets, it felt like staying at a private villa. Our beloved dog was thrilled as well. We’d love to recommend this place to fellow dog owners!

    Stayed with my dog. ...

    Stayed with my dog. The accommodation was very clean. Tableware and cooking utensils were well-equipped. We enjoyed a comfortable BBQ in the garden. The floor felt a bit slippery, but stickers for paw pads were provided, allowing my dog to roam freely. I would love to stay again if I have the chance.

    Lovely Room. Looking forward to it.

    The room was clean, and the welcome drink in the refrigerator was a nice touch. The barbecue set was easy to use, even for beginners. The gentleman at reception had a great personality, making check-in pleasant. The location is convenient, just 15 minutes by car to Takayama's old town and 30 minutes to the large limestone cave—both dog-friendly spots nearby are highly recommended. The only downside was the unpaved road in front of the room. Due to rain from the previous day, our dog's paws got dirty and mud splashed when entering the room, getting into the car, or heading to the dog run. This is my only complaint. I wrote this review with hopes that such a lovely room can be maintained beautifully! Wishing all staff members good luck during Golden Week!
