  We stayed with 4 adu...

  We stayed with 4 adults and 1 toddler. For access, the location didn’t show up even after entering the map code, but we were able to arrive by searching “Kururi Sanso” on Google Maps. The road felt just barely manageable for a larger car, so going in a kei car was the right choice! The Accommodation itself was wonderful, and we had a very comfortable stay. The pool, mist sauna, and pizza oven were all amazing—we wish we had stayed two nights. We definitely want to visit again. If I had to mention anything, it would have been nice to have two bedrooms. Also, the pizza peel felt a bit small for the pizza oven, so serious pizza lovers might find it easier if they bring their own. The electric bug-zapping racket was also very helpful—great to have! The pool was so good that we went in three times and ran short on towels, so it would be nice if there were a few more spare towels. Also, although it wasn’t mentioned on the website, there were plenty of wine glasses provided, which was great. Next time we’ll come during the colder season. It was the best Accommodation we’ve ever stayed at.

  The best so far!!

  We stayed with two families and our dog! We’ve traveled together several times to Vacation Rental–style Accommodation, and for this price, the quality here was by far the best we’ve ever had. It’s deep in the mountains and some parts of the road are a bit hard to follow, but once we arrived everyone was amazed and said, “Wow!! I want to live somewhere like this!!” Because of the rain we couldn’t do a BBQ or have a bonfire, but the sauna, pool, dog run, and Room were all excellent—we were completely satisfied. The living room has high ceilings and feels very open, so we had a truly relaxing time. There isn’t a meal-included Plan, but it was really helpful that there were plenty of BBQ grills, burners/stoves, and cooking utensils. We definitely want to come back again, so I’m sharing a few points that would be greatly appreciated if improved. [Things we noticed] - After showering, when draining the bathwater from the tub in the bathroom area, drainage was weak and water backed up into the sink area and even into the toilet area, flooding everything. - The frying pan looked fairly well-used; when we cooked meat it stuck quite badly. - When opening the entrance door or windows, it felt like our dog might run out. It would be great to have something like a safety gate to prevent dashing out. - As mentioned above, if a dog does get out there are no fences—so they could end up loose in the mountains. It would be reassuring to have fencing around at least part (ideally all) of the property so dogs can be outside safely even during BBQ time. - The step up from the entrance into the Room is a bit high for small dogs; having a small step/ramp would be nice. I know I’ve listed several requests, but overall everything—from free drinks to amenities—was very well provided and wonderful! We’ll definitely come again as a group!

  We were able to relax and enjoy our stay with our dog.

  The private dog run was spacious and fully enclosed, so we could let our dog play safely with peace of mind. Of all the places we’ve stayed with a private dog run, I think this one is the best! We have a Toy Poodle, and he ran around happily. The Room was also large, and we were able to relax and take it easy. During Golden Week, it was neither too hot nor too cold, so it was very comfortable. At night it rained and the wind was strong, so unfortunately I didn’t have the courage to use the sauna. I was also a bit scared about moving to a separate area in the rain, and I didn’t want insects getting in… As others mentioned in their comments, they answered our questions carefully in advance, which made us feel very reassured. They even provided several options for nearby supermarkets with names and addresses. We set our navigation using the map code as instructed, but unpaved mountain roads are still genuinely nerve-racking… arriving before dark is a must. It’s a relief when you see the concrete sign for Kururi Sanso (Kururi Mountain Lodge), but I thought having an arrow sign (→) would make turning right less stressful. Also, even when we filled the bath with hot water it still felt lukewarm—so I wondered if it might be cold in winter. It would have been even better if we could enjoy a properly hot bath. It was also disappointing that the aroma oil was empty. After washing used dishes, there wasn’t really anywhere to place them, so we left them on an improvised spot—was that okay? If you don’t close the windows or entrance door right away, insects will come in. That may be unavoidable… We were surprised by complimentary drinks like beer from a beer server and canned beverages. There was also a dog set provided; the Facility were well equipped overall, and my family said this was their favorite place so far. This time the weather was bad and part of the Aqua-Line closed due to traffic restrictions; since we checked out early, we actually wanted to stay longer and relax more before heading home! I’ve written some points of concern above, but overall it was great. We’re grateful that we could spend such a relaxing evening—thank you for taking care of us.

We are truly honored to hear that our private dog run was “the best ever.” We loved imagining your precious toy poodle running around freely, and we’re delighted that your whole family enjoyed your stay. We’re also relieved to know you were able to relax in the Room and enjoy the comfort of the season. At the same time, we’re sorry the weather didn’t cooperate and may have been disappointing. Because our Accommodation is surrounded by nature, the atmosphere can change greatly depending on the weather—but on a sunny day, you can enjoy completely different views and sauna time. We would be very happy if you could come back for a “revenge” visit next time. Regarding access, while the roads are paved with asphalt or gravel, our mountain location does include some narrow sections. We apologize for any concern this may have caused. Based on your feedback, we will work to improve signage and pre-arrival guidance so guests can reach us more easily and with peace of mind. As for the bath temperature, because the tub is large, it may feel like it cools down more quickly; however, you can adjust the temperature using the water heater settings. We hope that next time you’ll set it to your preferred temperature and relax at your leisure. Regarding the aroma oils, we had prepared two bottles—one nearly empty and one new—but we apologize that this was not clear. As for where to place dishes after use: there is a basket in a drawer under the kitchen sink where washed dishes can be placed; however, as we generally handle washing ourselves, it is also fine to leave them as they are. We are also very happy to hear that you enjoyed the beer server, drink service, and dog-friendly amenities. Once again, thank you sincerely for staying with us and for sharing your valuable feedback.   A Hidden Villa You’ll Want to Keep Secret

  Everything was so beautiful—I was truly impressed! It felt so luxurious that I honestly thought, “Does it get any better than this?” First of all, the sauna is a mist sauna! High-temperature saunas can be harsh on my skin and often cause irritation, so I was thrilled it was mist. The relaxation area was also incredibly comfortable, and thanks to that my skin felt silky smooth. There’s also a beer server, which made my husband absolutely delighted! He said an ice-cold beer in a perfectly chilled glass after the sauna was the best. The dog run is very spacious too, and seeing our dog’s happy face made us unbelievably happy. That said, it was a little inconvenient that we had to carry our dog all the way to the dog run first and only then let them off-leash. We’d love it if fencing could be added around the entire property so they could run around freely just by opening the window. Also, the washroom was spotless, and making our own bath salts was such a fun touch—please save that as a surprise for when you arrive!! The shampoo and conditioner were amazing and left my hair so smooth; would it be possible to tell me which brand you provide? They were really great. We will definitely stay again! You can enjoy an incredibly luxurious time here!!! But honestly… I don’t want to tell anyone about this place. lol

  The only drawback: the circuit breaker trips every 30 minutes.

  Dog run, pool, sauna, wood stove, fire pit, yoga mats—our Facility is fully equipped! (Though a heated pool and dishwasher would make it even better.) Located in a very secluded area, it’s incredibly quiet and perfect for relaxing. While there are minor details to improve upon as the Facility is newly built, I found the experience overall very positive. However, as mentioned in the title—breakers trip every 30 minutes! They do reset automatically so it’s not a major issue, but having to turn on Room heaters repeatedly was tiring. Also, without floor heating during winter, your feet might get cold. In non-winter seasons like spring through fall when breakers likely won’t trip often—it could be an ideal Facility! 【Pros】 - Perfect for those seeking peace and quiet due to its secluded location - The sauna is extremely powerful—great for those who want an intense session 【Cons】 - A heated pool would be amazing - A dishwasher would be convenient - Floor heating would enhance comfort during winter - Breakers trip frequently but reset automatically; still slightly frustrating

Regarding the heated pool, due to its large size and susceptibility to outdoor temperatures during winter months, it may be challenging to maintain a sufficiently warm water temperature despite adjustments. This information is noted on our reservation site in advance for better understanding prior to booking. We also appreciate your comments about the dishwasher. As this villa operates without on-site staff, dishes are collected and cleaned by staff after guests' stays; therefore, there is no need for guests themselves to wash dishes. While underfloor heating is not installed or mentioned as part of our facilities, we will take note of your feedback regarding cold floors during winter as a reference for future improvements. Your comment that "the newness of this facility leaves room for positive improvement" means so much to us. We will continue striving toward creating an even more comfortable accommodation experience while preserving its serene location surrounded by nature.   Chosen for our first trip with our dog.

  We decided on a sudden trip for our family of four and looked for an accommodation where we could stay with our dog. We found a nearby place with a private dog run that seemed new, so we made a reservation. The staff responded kindly to our questions after completing the reservation, and when we arrived, we were thrilled to learn that the facility had just opened, and we were their very first guests. On the day of arrival, while driving through narrow and steep mountain roads with various ingredients in tow for our stay, we felt slightly anxious until reaching the destination. However, upon seeing the room and facilities upon arrival, all those worries disappeared. It has now become a fun memory for our family—a story to laugh about together. The steam sauna, open-air bath, fire pit, pool, indoor bath, dog run area, bedroom with Japanese-style room option as well as kitchen—all were exceptional! We enjoyed an unforgettable holiday filled with surprises and excitement at every turn. We were also impressed by how much firewood/charcoal was prepared free of charge along with BBQ grills—it truly added convenience during our stay! Being able to enjoy privacy without worrying about surroundings was another highlight worth mentioning here too. Honestly speaking—we wished it could have been multiple nights instead! The opening celebration service provided left us deeply touched too; such thoughtful gestures made everything even more special. If there’s anything minor worth considering improving further down-the-line perhaps adding hangers or dedicated pet paw-washing stations might enhance future experiences—but overall rating-wise? Close-to-perfect score (100 points)! Looking forward eagerly toward returning again someday soon—thankful always & wishing continued success ahead!
