We stayed here as a ...
We stayed here as a family. It was our first time staying on a remote island, but the owner welcomed us warmly from the moment we arrived, so we were able to start our stay with peace of mind. The seafood shabu-shabu we had for dinner was truly outstanding, and we were impressed by how fresh everything was. It felt like an island-only luxury. They also kindly recommended places to buy groceries and some cafés, which made our stay even more fulfilling. Rather than simply staying overnight, we were able to truly enjoy our time on the island and in Ushimado. This trip meant a lot to our family, and we’re grateful to have made such wonderful memories. We’d love to visit again in a different season.

We’re also very happy that you enjoyed our meals at the Accommodation, along with the seafood shabu-shabu dinner. It truly means a lot to us that you were able to fully enjoy your trip, including time in Ushimado and around the island. We hope the recommended shops and cafés became part of your travel memories as well. The response from the woman who assisted us was unpleasant and disappointing.
The rating is the lowest. The reasons are: - The attitude of the woman who guided us. - The phone response during Check Reservation. Both were extremely harsh and unpleasant. Even when we sent a thank-you email after checkout, there was no reply, and we felt coldness in their responses at various points. While the building and scenery were generally good, I believe that the personality of the staff and owner is also important. Personally, I feel it was a mistake to choose this place. As for Maejima Island, it’s a beautiful island with kind locals, so I recommend visiting there instead. Please consider this as a reference for your trip!

We sincerely apologize for any discomfort caused during your stay, including issues with our phone support at the time of reservation, check-in service, and delayed responses to messages. We take all of these matters seriously. Our accommodation operates as a private rental style, prioritizing privacy during your stay. However, we have come to realize once again that warm and attentive interactions are essential whenever there is human engagement. The fact that we left an unpleasant impression during your stay reflects our shortcomings. We will share this feedback with all staff members and work earnestly to improve in order to provide better service moving forward. A place you'll want to return to.
A private accommodation located on top of a hill. Surrounded by fields, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Seto Inland Sea and its islands beyond. The breathtaking scenery of the Seto Inland Sea can be admired from the bathroom, bedroom, and balcony. During our stay, it was close to a full moon, allowing us to indulge in the luxury of simply gazing at the night sky under its gentle light. There are no convenience stores or supermarkets nearby, but this absence enhances a sense of clarity and self-awareness. Rather than checking reviews or photos on social media, being here allows you to truly experience the sounds, scents, atmosphere, and cherished way of life nurtured by local islanders—an absolutely wonderful experience. With so much to explore and enjoy here, I look forward to visiting again during another season!
