    Near Sokodo Beach

    The Room was very clean. There were surprisingly many amenities provided. It is also very close to Sokodo Bay, which made it very convenient to go to the beach with children. Just outside the Accommodation, there are areas without streetlights, and the starry sky looked beautiful. There is a washer-dryer, so we made full use of it. The sauna also had towels and drinks prepared, and the cold plunge bath felt great. On the other hand, for four guests staying three nights, there were only four cups’ worth each of tea and coffee, with no refills. We finished them in one day. Since this is not a cheap Accommodation, I would at least like tea-type drinks to be available at the sauna drink corner as well. Also, we were told that trash collection is basically not provided. With a kitchen, if you cook you will inevitably have food waste. Leaving it there for all three nights didn’t feel good, so we handed it directly to a staff member who was cleaning partway through. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but including the issue with tea, we couldn’t fully relax into a luxurious feeling, which was a bit disappointing.

    I had a very comfortable stay.

    It was my first time visiting Hachijojima, so I had many things I wanted to do. However, being too active can be exhausting and ruin the trip. That’s why I chose this accommodation where I could relax. The room was equipped with an auto-lock system, and entering the pre-provided passcode opened the door to a cool, air-conditioned room that felt very comfortable. There was also a check-in terminal on the right side, making the process smooth and quick. Since we rented a car, we stopped by a supermarket before check-in to buy breakfast ingredients and snacks. As for drinks, there were tea and alcoholic beverages in the refrigerator, so we didn’t feel any inconvenience. We enjoyed Netflix and Hulu on a large screen. Sweaty clothes could be washed immediately as there were laundry facilities with drying functions along with hangers and drying racks provided—very convenient! The washing machine automatically dispensed detergent and fabric softener, making it easy to use. The sauna was shared with guests from other buildings but using it alternately worked well without any issues or discomfort. Towels, sandals, drinks were all well-prepared for us to enjoy Loyly (sauna steam). As for the oxygen room experience—I only tried it briefly for about 10 minutes out of curiosity—so its benefits weren’t clear yet; perhaps something exciting left for next time! Almost everything was perfect; however here are some points that could improve: There were only four disposable chopsticks provided which weren’t enough for our three-night stay. While knives & forks sufficed instead having reusable plastic chopsticks would’ve been better addition! Also though oven plates existed no tongs available when needed while toast-making moments arose adding those might enhance convenience further! Overall though truly fantastic accommodation definitely looking forward returning again someday soon!

    Welcome to Hachijojima for the First Time

    A wonderful accommodation in Hachijojima for first-time visitors. It felt as relaxing as being at home. Next time, I’ll visit during the whale-watching season. Thank you for the delicious breakfast!
