Although there were some drawbacks, we had a great view of the fireworks.
It was disappointing that when I called with questions, I only heard automated menu options and couldn’t get my concerns resolved. Before going, I was full of anxiety and distrust, but in reality there were unlimited drinks and soft-serve ice cream, and we had a great view of the fireworks from the Room. In the end, my friend who came with me was very satisfied, and we agreed to come again next year.

Perfect for watching fireworks.
We previously had an amazing time watching the Atami fireworks up close, so we came back with our dog. With its consistently great location, we were able to fully enjoy the fireworks festival again. Our family loves this place so much that we’d happily stay here again and again, but we would appreciate it even more if you could consider the following: For a Multiple Night Stay with takeout meals, there are clearly not enough dishes and utensils. It would be very helpful to have dish soap and a sponge, paper towels, and large trash bags. We also used the instant ramen vending machine on the 2nd floor, which our child loved. However, there are only a few topping options available compared to the number of ramen servings in stock. We would be happy if you could consider restocking more frequently or increasing the amount provided. That said, I think we’ll be back again. Next time, we’d love to enjoy the autumn/winter fireworks as well. Thank you very much.

It can’t be helped if it’s a Hotel with no staff support, but…
I always use this Hotel during the fireworks festival. Pets can stay here, and you can watch the fireworks; from inside the Room, the noise isn’t too loud, so it’s a good option for staying with pets. However, since this is an unmanned Hotel, I feel there are various inconveniences. First, the parking lot is a little far away. There is a space in front of the Hotel only for loading and unloading luggage, but someone left their car parked there (in fact, it was still there until morning). Several cars came to unload luggage, but there was no sign they would move it. With no staff around, we had no choice but to give up. In the lobby as well, an Asian foreign guest repeatedly poured drinks directly into their own bottle and drank on the spot. They also took almost all of the snacks by stuffing their pockets. Since there is no notice about how many snacks are allowed, that may be unavoidable; however, they were filling bottles that had been put to their mouth—and even cups—by placing them directly against the dispenser spout, which made me not want to drink anything. As other Reviews have mentioned too: I didn’t feel like calling the customer center just for this. Still, I wish at least one staff member could be present on site. It would also be reassuring to have staff available in case of disasters such as earthquakes. I hope this will be improved. Thank you for your help.

Ocean view (partial)
Three middle-aged women stayed here. For the price, both the building and the Facility were very clean, and the Room was spacious with a terrace. There was a microwave, a proper two-door refrigerator, and a small sink. The loungewear was a separate top and bottom set. Basic skincare items were also provided in the large public bath, so (if you’re not picky) you can really go with almost nothing. It feels more like a condominium, and since it’s not in a high-traffic area, it’s quiet. There are some stylish restaurants nearby. The large public bath is small and dark, so it may not be suitable for small children or elderly guests. This is not a Hotel where you relax in an Onsen at length… When I tried to use a mug, it was clearly unwashed, which made me feel uncomfortable. It seems like a good place for a quick change of pace from Tokyo on short notice. I’d probably stay again.

Comfortable Accommodation
Because the front desk is unmanned, it was disappointing that luggage could not be stored in advance, but overall the stay was excellent. The Facility was clean, and the bar’s complimentary drinks and atmosphere were very comfortable—I would like to stay here again next time.

I often stay here with my dog.
I really love that this Hotel welcomes dogs, and I have stayed here about eight times. I’ve always been comfortable in the larger Room types, but this time I had my first disappointing experience. This was my first Multiple Night Stay of three nights. First, the provided dishes were set out still dirty, as if they had already been used. In addition, there were no extra loungewear changes, and no replacement towels or slippers, which was confusing and inconvenient for a three-night stay. It felt as though supplies had not been replenished after the previous guest checked out—because this has never happened before. However, the Hotel responded quickly by replacing the dishes and providing loungewear and other items, which was reassuring. Still, I have already made a Reservation for the same type of Room next month. At minimum, I would like the Facility items listed in the basic information to be properly provided. There were also only two pet sheets for my dog; I used one on the first night after arrival, and even though I paid for a three-night stay, it wasn’t enough and caused trouble. Because I like this Hotel so much, I’m posting this with hope for improvement—so that preparations match both the Room specifications and the number of nights stayed.

Hotel where you can stay with your dog
It was our first time staying with our beloved dog. When we contacted the staff about the Facility's amenities, they responded promptly. A foldable pet cage, food bowl, dog bed, pet sheets, and anti-slip mats were provided, allowing us to enjoy a more comfortable stay than expected. The bath was also very relaxing. The view was beautiful, and we would love to visit again.

Quite nice!
I enjoy staying at Rakuten Stay in various locations. The room here is compact but reasonably priced, which was nice in its own way. The lounge downstairs had more variety than I expected, and being able to bring items back to the room was convenient. Dinner was filling, and breakfast exceeded my expectations. However, I was surprised that the public bath only had four washing stations! I went during a quieter late hour. If the rooms with baths on the upper floors were Onsen-equipped, I would choose those instead. Apologies for the delayed review!

Modern-style hotel in Atami
Very good stay at this hotel. Parking is a bit far, but a 3-minute walk is acceptable except on rainy days.

Thank you for your patronage.
Although I was slightly anxious about the unmanned check-in, I was able to enter smoothly. The food was delicious, and the free drinks were a nice touch. I will definitely use this service again.

A New Style of Hotel
Stayed for 2 nights with my dog. The check-in process via tablet was efficient, but having at least one staff member on-site would have made the stay more reassuring. The public bath being an Onsen was nice, but the dim lighting and slippery tiles felt unsafe. As I don't drink alcohol, I used the free soft drinks; however, the dispenser design allowed fingers to touch the spout, raising hygiene concerns—consider changing to a different pitcher system. Being a new Hotel, the Room was clean with a sea view, and spending time on the balcony with my dog was enjoyable. Overall, it’s a stylishly designed Hotel but feels more like an extension of a Business Hotel. Without the "dog-friendly" aspect, I wouldn't consider revisiting due to budget reasons.

On fireworks day, the rooftop lounge is occupied by non-staying inbound guests.
The accommodation itself was comfortable, with excellent free-flow drinks and a great bath. The room was spacious and clean. However, the fireworks day was truly disappointing. A green-plated large SUV occupied the temporary luggage drop-off space for over 4 hours, with a foreign driver just watching the car. It felt suspicious and caused inconvenience. That tourist group, who were not guests of the accommodation, took over the rooftop lounge and even used the guest-only free-flow drinks. Considering they could access a hotel requiring passcodes, I had serious doubts about how hotel staff handled this situation. For paying guests who have spent a high accommodation fee, this is extremely unfair and inconvenient. I strongly urge improvements to be made.

This is my first time using RAKUTENSTAY.
No traditional customer service, but the online face-to-face interaction at the end of the unmanned check-in process provides reassurance. The room was clean and spacious, with a convenient kitchenette and a large table for dining or relaxing. The Onsen was not crowded, making for a very satisfying stay. One drawback was the step inside the room and on the first-floor restroom. I would love to try other RAKUTEN STAY locations next time!

Atami with Kids
Stayed with one adult and four children. The Onsen in the basement was very modern but a bit dim, which made the kids slightly scared. However, they were thrilled with the unlimited ramune and soft-serve ice cream. The bunk beds were sturdy, and we could sleep comfortably even on the top bunk. The beach and shopping street are about a 10-minute walk away, making it perfect for a refreshing 1-night stay.

Stayed with my beloved dog.
Stayed in a Room where I could stay with my beloved dog for one night. The Hotel is new, and the interior was very clean. Meals could be enjoyed in the Room, allowing us to relax as a family. I didn't have high expectations for the bath, but it was not crowded and very pleasant. The weather was bad, so we didn’t go to Hatsushima this time, but since it’s very close to the ferry terminal for Hatsushima, I’d like to visit there next time.

First Vacation Rental
Traveled to Atami with my daughter. It was our first time staying at an unmanned Hotel, so I was a bit worried until we arrived. Since it was a weekday, the place was quiet and not crowded. We chose the two-meal plan. The pizza for dinner was okay, but the roast beef was delicious. The seafood bowl for breakfast exceeded expectations in taste. However, tableware matters—using styrofoam felt a bit disappointing. The miso soup also came in a styrofoam container with freeze-dried ingredients; understandable but unfortunate. On the other hand, grinding coffee beans myself made for a tasty cup of coffee. The rooftop view was great as well. That said, I personally prefer staffed hotels over unmanned ones.

Soft Serve Ice Cream
I stayed with my beloved dog. The anti-slip pads on the bunk bed stairs came off during use, which was rather dangerous. I didn’t have high expectations for the meals (sorry!), but they were delicious and made me happy. The breakfast Kinmedai burger was also very satisfying. However, one disappointment was the soft-serve ice cream in the lounge where you can freely enjoy drinks and snacks. Although it was stated to be available until 10:00 PM, when I went at 9:45 PM, it had already ended. That was quite disappointing.

A Hotel You'll Want to Stay at Again
Very satisfying stay. The tablet check-in was a fresh experience. The free drinks menu changed between daytime and morning, with small snacks and soft serve ice cream at night, which could be taken to the Room—very convenient for relaxing in the Room. We stayed on the 4th floor with a nice view, and the terrace had an engawa-style seating area, which was lovely. The dinner hand-rolled sushi and breakfast golden-eye snapper burger were both delicious; highly recommend meals included. There’s also a microwave available for heating food. The large public bath had a chic design with slightly dim lighting and hotter water. With great views, Rooms, meals, and service—it’s a Hotel I’d love to stay at again!

Good.
It was my first time staying at an almost unmanned hotel, but I was able to complete the check-in process smoothly and enjoy my stay. The triple room had three proper beds, the room was spacious enough, and while not luxurious, it was comfortable. The table made it convenient for dining, and the chairs could also be used as sofas, which was handy. There were plenty of towels provided, along with baskets for trips to the onsen. It felt like they had addressed small inconveniences often experienced at other accommodations like ryokans. Having both disposable slippers and reusable slippers for use throughout the facility was a nice touch. I enjoyed being able to grind coffee beans brought from the lobby in my room or making soft-serve ice cream using a machine in the lobby during certain hours. However, there were some downsides: the floor around the drink station on the first floor wasn’t cleaned properly; you needed to download an app on your smartphone to use a microwave for frozen food; and breakfast bowls were underwhelming. Additionally, there were no indications of which floor corresponded to each room number—I had to guess my way to my room. It would be great if this could be improved.

Since it is a new Hotel, it is very beautiful.
Stylish and beautiful with an amazing ocean view that left us in awe. The Room even had a wine cellar, perfect for wine lovers. However, the snacks in the lobby were limited to items like bean snacks, rice crackers, chocolate candies, and soda tablets, which was a bit disappointing. It would be nice to have more variety or rotating options depending on the time of day. We stayed in a suite with a jacuzzi, but the shared bath's changing area was quite small and required taking turns to change clothes, which was inconvenient. Although it mentioned trial goods from Rakuten being available, we did not find any during our stay. The party room had karaoke facilities where we sang and drank for an enjoyable Hotel experience. It would be helpful if it were clearly stated somewhere that the entry code is sent out the day before arrival; as it mentioned "3 days prior" elsewhere, this caused unnecessary worry before our stay.

It is a good Hotel.
The hotel was clean, smart, and pleasant. However, during my Multiple Night Stay, the amenities provided were only for one night. I ran out of toothpaste with just one toothbrush and had to purchase more at a convenience store. Additionally, there was only one set of tableware available. I wanted to reuse the glasses and plates the next day but there was no dishwashing detergent, so I had to rinse them with water. It would be helpful if either a two-night set or dishwashing detergent could be provided. The Hotel itself was clean and well-maintained throughout.

Stay with Your Dog
A cost-effective Hotel in Atami where you can stay with your dog! Enjoy free-flowing wine and other alcoholic beverages, and above all, the meals were more luxurious than expected for the price—highly satisfying.

I stayed with the "S...
I stayed with the "Seafood Hand Roll and Obanzai Set" Plan. It was nice to be able to eat and drink comfortably in the Room. Personally, I felt the meal portions were a bit small. The children had the same menu as adults, but aside from sushi, there didn’t seem to be many items that kids would enjoy. However, they had fun with activities like the snack capsule toy machine. The soft-serve ice cream machine that my child was looking forward to was under maintenance, which was very disappointing. Not having a physical key for the Room was extremely convenient, allowing everyone to go out freely at their own pace.

Overall satisfied.
We stayed as a family of four. The room layout, facilities, view from the room, inclusive drinks, and two meals (kinmedai hand-rolled sushi and obanzai for dinner & kinmedai sandwich for breakfast) were all highly satisfying. Before our stay, we were concerned about the lack of a TV in the living room based on other reviews. However, by bringing a portable speaker with us, we enjoyed a unique atmosphere and had a relaxing dining experience. On the day of arrival, we reached at around 2:50 PM before check-in time. Using the auto-lock system outside the entrance and entering the passcode provided in an email beforehand allowed us to access the accommodation smoothly. For unmanned check-in procedures, following instructions sent via email one day prior made it easy to complete using a QR code within 2–3 minutes without any issues. Access to our room was available after completing check-in procedures from 3 PM onwards. As for drawbacks: there was plastic waste left on the balcony after eating ice cream; oil stains on the dining table; some window smudges that detracted from an otherwise great view; when operating the air purifier, it emitted an odor resembling grilled meat instead of purifying (I cleaned everything except for this myself); and accessing rooms required taking an elevator from the first-floor lobby to enter through outdoor corridors which felt cold during winter. Despite these minor issues, everything else was satisfactory. With improved cleaning efforts moving forward, I would definitely love to stay here again!

I was excited about ...
I was excited about the new systems like unmanned check-in, but it was surprisingly easy. The Room had a layout unlike any I've seen before, and it was very pleasant. I wish there was a small kitchen for long-term stays. I understand it's difficult in these times, but as a smoker, I would have appreciated even a small smoking area within the Hotel. Overall, I really liked the Hotel.

It was good.
There is no front desk, and check-in and check-out are done via tablet. Overall, the Facility seems to be geared towards younger people. This time, I stayed in a triple room, which had a relaxing space where I could spend time leisurely. The large public bath is stylish, and it was nice to have Dyson and ReFa hair dryers available, but there were only four washing areas, and some lockers had broken locks and couldn't be used, so it might be better to avoid crowded times.

White mold
I stayed on the day of the fireworks. It is a great location with an unobstructed view of the fireworks right in front of you. However, there were some concerns. The weak water pressure in the room's shower, and a large amount of white mold between the sofa and the table. Should I just accept it because there are free services? My mood dropped after finding the mold.
