    We stayed for one ni...

    We stayed for one night and two days. The room was clean and tidy, and we really enjoyed it! The terrace felt a bit old. Also, it would have been more convenient if the terrace light was not sensor-activated but instead stayed brightly lit at all times. We borrowed the BBQ grill, but no matter what we did, we couldn’t get the flame to go higher than a low pilot flame, so we couldn’t cook the meat or vegetables properly. We read the instructions several times and followed them correctly, but the heat remained weak. It was disappointing since we were looking forward to BBQing, so we’d like to know why it wouldn’t increase from the pilot flame.

    Enjoy a luxurious stay.

    We were soothed by the greenery visible through the large windows and enjoyed a relaxing, luxurious stay. The weather was great, and it was wonderful to have tea and breakfast outside while listening to birdsong. We were also deeply moved by an unexpected surprise—a herd of deer came to graze nearby. We would love to visit again.

    Relaxing time

    This was my third stay. It’s the perfect place to truly relax when you want to take it easy. If I had to wish for something, I’d love to stay for about two nights! There are lots of cafés and bakeries nearby, and it’s surrounded by nature, making it very comfortable. This time we even saw a deer! (Haha) I’d love to come back in summer next! I’m also curious—what brand is the complimentary coffee? Maybe it tastes so good because you’re drinking it in that setting. If possible, please let me know!! I love the view from those big windows! I’m looking forward to staying again!

    The location, the building, and the interior are all outstanding!

    Thank you as always for your kind support. Thanks to you, we were able to enjoy another comfortable stay this time as well. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the staff. Thank you very much. Because we left in a hurry, I later realized that we hadn’t put away the books and dishes. We apologize for the inconvenience. We weren’t sure if the cherry blossoms would be out yet, so we felt lucky to see Yamataka Jindai Zakura already in full bloom. We also got to try a variety of nearby restaurants, and it turned into a fun weekend getaway. We look forward to visiting again in autumn. As temperatures can vary greatly at this time of year, please take good care of yourselves.

    Enjoyed the wood-burning stove.

    A comfortable environment with just the right amount of space feels pleasant. A two-night, three-day stay felt too short. Perhaps the ideal stay is to spend unhurried time doing nothing at all.

    It was excellent.

    The cottage was very stylish and lovely. However, the toilet and dressing area were in the same room, and the bathroom had glass walls, making it very inconvenient as others couldn't use the toilet or sink while someone was bathing. It would be more convenient if there were a roll curtain for the glass-walled bathroom. Other than that, it was a wonderful space where we had an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Thank you!

    Enjoy Autumn!

    Enjoy a 2-night, 3-day stay experiencing the beauty of autumn in Yatsugatake. On the first day, we had a barbecue on the deck, and on the second day, we dined out. Breakfast was prepared with ingredients purchased from Himawari Market and enjoyed on the deck. The Marimekko tableware was lovely, and cooking in a kitchen different from home was an enjoyable experience. In the evening, four deer appeared in the garden and stared at us quietly—a memorable moment. At night, we were treated to a sky full of stars and even caught sight of the Leonid meteor shower—it was truly breathtaking! From check-in to check-out, we didn’t encounter anyone else; it felt like staying at our very own private villa.

    Stylish Cottage in the Forest

    I have stayed here several times, and once again, I had a comfortable stay. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the staff. Thank you very much. This is one of my favorite accommodations. I love the location, which feels like living in the forest. You can enjoy stargazing, listening to various bird songs, and feeling close to nature. It's also fun to have BBQs or breakfast on the terrace. There is a nearby supermarket where you can get quality ingredients, making shopping convenient. The cottage is always kept clean, with a user-friendly kitchen and a charming wood stove. Initially, I visited Hokuto City because I wanted to stay at this cottage; now I've completely fallen in love with Hokuto City itself! I look forward to visiting again next year!

    Dream Villa and Log House

    The interior and facilities are as shown in the photos and videos. The open ceiling up to the roof makes the Room feel more spacious. Super Himawari is about a 5-minute drive away, and with the kitchen, my wife was able to prepare various dishes. The washing machine and dryer are very convenient, allowing you to pack fewer clothes. We enjoyed delicious food such as bread from Trif Bakery, oyakodon from Nakamura Farm, burgers from Seisenryo, and bacon curry from Kiyosato Terrace. The view from Kiyosato Terrace is beautiful, with many families and couples relaxing on the sofas. Although we stayed for one night this time, staying 2-3 nights in the forest is highly recommended for a refreshing experience for both body and mind.

    It was excellent!

    We stayed for 4 nights as a family of three. The facility was clean and highly functional. In the mornings and evenings, we enjoyed warm drinks on the terrace while taking in the fresh air and listening to birdsong. The kitchen, dining area, and living room are integrated, allowing us to feel close as a family while cooking. You can also access the bedroom directly from the living room for a relaxing rest. The loft provided space for reading or work, so each family member could spend time as they liked. 【Kitchen】 Equipped with an IH stove, salt & pepper, and olive oil. It had everything we needed without inconvenience. Groceries can be purchased at "Himawari Market," a supermarket just 5 minutes away by car. Shopping was enjoyable with items like Yatsugatake butter, milk, eggs, freshly harvested rice, and fresh vegetables available. 【BBQ】 The gas grill is easy to use. 【Laundry】 Both the washing machine and dryer were excellent—drying took about 2 hours? Clothes came out fluffy without damage thanks to an automatic detergent dispenser system; no need to bring your own detergent. 【Internet Environment】 Wi-Fi worked perfectly with no issues. Netflix is available. 【Recommended Items to Bring】 There are no USB ports available; bring plug adapters for outlets (outlets are located throughout). For those who cook: consider bringing a cooler box or food storage containers like Tupperware—they’re handy when taking home unused ingredients. 【Nearby Attractions】 Horseback Riding: Horse Farm Polaris – About 20 minutes by car towards Kobuchizawa. Enjoy trail rides through forests after an introductory lesson suitable even for beginners. G-Cart: Sun Meadows Kiyosato Terrace – About 30 minutes by car towards Kiyosato. Ride up the mountain on ski lifts then descend via carts in this fun activity! Even young elementary school children seemed to enjoy it; tandem rides (two-person) are also possible for parents and kids together. Super easy controls make it enjoyable for both adults and children alike!

    Your travel purpose may change.

    We have traveled across the whole country, staying at accommodations with high review ratings, but this place is truly exceptional. There were no other guests, no manager, and no reception, allowing us to fully enjoy our time without any concerns. The room's furnishings were impeccable, even down to the wastebasket in the corner being made of Bunaco. The nearby supermarket "Himawari Market" had an excellent selection that allowed us to enjoy a very satisfying BBQ. Our entire family is already talking about wanting a multiple night stay next year. It was a very meaningful and fulfilling extraordinary experience.

    It was excellent!

    I found this accommodation on IKYU.com and made a reservation. I was torn between Kittilä and this place, but I chose Tuusula because of its modern kitchen, large windows, and stylish bathroom. The kitchen is well-equipped with dishes, utensils, and even essentials like olive oil, rock salt, and black pepper! I was also delighted that the amenities were from Leaf Botanics. The location is quiet as it’s set back from the main road. There’s plenty of space between neighbors with trees planted for privacy, so the large windows didn’t bother me at all. In the garden, pheasants and deer came to visit. Although I could only stay for one night, it’s a place where I’d love to spend several days relaxing. Nearby attractions include Kiyoharu Art Village and a ranch where you can go trekking—both highly recommended. It seems difficult to secure a reservation here again, but I would love to return someday. It even made me wish for a home like this!

    For reference in building a villa

    I stayed here and was excited as it was exactly the type of building I wanted to create myself. Unfortunately, there were some issues such as no batteries for the insect repellent device and a dull knife. Additionally, although there is a lovely wood stove, it seemed that a previous guest might have caused smoke to fill the room, leaving a lingering smoky smell throughout the accommodation. However, it is such a wonderful space that I made another reservation. I hope these issues will be resolved by then!

    Extraordinary Second House Experience

    We stayed here for a family trip, and although our stay was short due to certain circumstances, we were able to enjoy a luxurious time surrounded by an authentic and stylish log house and state-of-the-art designer appliances. The minimalist yet high-quality interior made us wish we could live like this (in reality, our home is cluttered with stuff and feels quite chaotic... haha). Since we had almost no plan for our stay, the recommendations for nearby restaurants and shops were incredibly helpful! We shopped at Himawari Market and took out pizza and side dishes from Globe Cafe. Enjoying dinner leisurely with Marimekko tableware was pure happiness. (Coffee grounds were also provided, so we brewed coffee using the De'Longhi coffee machine—it felt extra special? An illusion? It tasted three times better!) The next morning, there was a deer outside the living room window—it felt like looking at a painting. The indoor temperature was perfectly warm thanks to the air conditioning; we didn’t use the fireplace option, but it seems like such a lovely way to enjoy winter as well!

    This time is also the best!

    This is my third visit, and each time I have a wonderful experience, making it a healing space. This time, it suddenly got cold on the day, so I thoroughly enjoyed the wood stove, which was fantastic! Everything is always beautifully arranged, and I have a very comfortable stay. The Christmas tree was up, and the door paint was cute and charming. I will definitely visit again, thank you very much.

    Modern Authentic Log House

    This was my second stay. Just like last time, it was very comfortable and I had a pleasant time. You can enjoy the wood stove and BBQ, and at night, the stars are unbelievably beautiful. I assume the staff have a hard time cleaning, but everything was spotless. The garden next door seemed wilder than when I visited in spring, but that's unrelated to this property... haha I truly felt that maintaining the garden must be quite a task. Since it was warm, I was able to have breakfast on the terrace, which was delightful. I have fallen in love with Hokuto City. There are delicious French restaurants nearby where you can enjoy mushrooms, and a quaint soba restaurant nestled in the forest... The air is clean, the ingredients are fresh, it's perfect! I would like to make another reservation. Thank you for your hospitality. Thank you very much.

    It was indeed the best cottage!

    I previously stayed in Kittilä and heard that Tuusula was also available, so I was looking forward to staying there. As expected, it was absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately, I could only stay for one night this time, but even in that short time, I was able to relax and feel happy. Enjoying a barbecue surrounded by the warmth of wood, falling asleep to the sound of insects, and waking up to the chirping of birds... The balance between interacting with nature and the abundance of state-of-the-art facilities for relaxation is just perfect, and you can feel the owner's thoughtfulness in this cottage. In Tuusula, the bath is very spacious, the shower pressure is comfortable, and the loft is easy to access with stairs and spacious, which was fun. I love both Kittilä and Tuusula. It's hard to get a reservation at either, but I definitely want to stay again. Next time, I'll try to make a reservation during the wood stove season!

    Very lovely cottage

    This was my first time using this place. Above all, it was clean, stylish, and had a great view, so I was very satisfied. The bedroom is also on the first floor, so my 79-year-old mother was very satisfied as well. We are talking as a family about wanting to go again. Thank you very much.
