    I’m running out of time!

    We stayed here for his birthday. We made a Reservation because we could enjoy the sauna, Onsen, and BBQ. This time, we only had breakfast, and brought our own ingredients for dinner. To put it mildly, this Accommodation was amazing. It was a little disappointing that there was no microwave, but everything else was perfect! We will definitely come again!

    Used to celebrate a birthday.

    We celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday at an Accommodation I’d been curious about for a while. The welcome snacks and the half-bottle of welcome sparkling wine were a lovely touch. The complimentary drinks included: Two small bottles of Kirin beer, two “Totonoita” drinks for after the sauna, two Ramune sodas, and 1 liter of detox water. Other drinks are paid, but you can bring your own, and there’s also a water dispenser, which we really appreciated. We often bring extra ingredients, but since we asked about dinner in advance, it was more than enough and we didn’t need to bring anything additional—we were completely full. It was a bit disappointing that the cooked rice had cooled down. A small knife was provided, but since we needed to cut things like spiny lobster and abalone, it would have been helpful if a cutting board and aluminum foil (for steaming vegetables or meat) had been prepared in advance. Even with ventilation in the BBQ Room, it’s understandable that odors linger—but since there’s a bedroom right next door separated by a door, we ended up discussing where to sleep because the smell bothered us. After using the BBQ Room, we tried not to open the connecting door to the bedroom and instead went in and out through another door to the living area. The Rooms with the living area and bedroom didn’t have any odor issues so we could sleep there comfortably, but I think some guests may find it bothersome. Because there is a refrigerator in the BBQ Room only, we had to go into that smelly area whenever we needed something from both the living room and bedroom. A small refrigerator in the living room would be convenient. Dinner felt luxurious overall; breakfast was just okay. It was a build-your-own burger style with fillings, and I felt the soup portion might be small for two people. For drinks there were options like coffee made from freshly ground beans, milk, and smoothies—but since none suited our taste preferences, it might be nice to also have apple juice, orange juice, or barley tea. Because it rained during our stay, areas around the sauna were slippery—I slipped and hurt my wrist and got some bruises—so please be careful on rainy days. Since there’s a cold plunge right outside after exiting the sauna (and you’ll likely walk barefoot), it can be easy to slip. I’ve mentioned quite a few points here; however unlike other glamping stays this one made BBQ easy with its yakiniku-style setup. Having an Onsen as well—and being able to use the sauna as many times as we wanted—was amazing. Overall I’m glad we chose this Accommodation. Thank you very much for preparing a birthday plate as well! We were able to have such a wonderful celebration. We’d love to use other Hanashibuki Resort properties again.

    Birthday stay

    An aroma oil was left behind, but everything else was wonderful. It made for a fulfilling birthday.

    The samue loungewear was too cold.

    The Facility and service were excellent, but the samue fabric was thin, and the pants were only about three-quarter length, so it felt chilly. Since it was February, it was very cold. I heard we could use the main building’s bath, so I went there, but there was nothing to wear over the samue, and I ended up shivering. It would be helpful if winter samue and an outer layer could be provided during the colder months. The barbecue dinner was luxurious and very satisfying. The level of privacy we were given also felt comfortable.

    Very satisfied

    Overall, it was a very satisfying Facility. The bath and BBQ were particularly great. If I had to point out two shortcomings, it would be that there is no toilet in the annex, so it's inconvenient to go outside to the main house at night. Also, not having a microwave in the Room was inconvenient. However, I would definitely like to stay here again!

    Excellent!!

    I have stayed at many Onsen accommodations, but this accommodation was high-quality in terms of food, facilities, and service. The meals were particularly impressive, with a strong focus on quality—everything from meat to seafood and hot pots was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend choosing a meal-inclusive plan when staying here. I would also like to try other accommodations within this group. *Note: Unable to upload photos.*

    I feel refreshed.

    The Room and sauna were satisfactory. However, it was very disappointing that there was no ventilation fan in the barbecue area. The smoke didn't escape, making it unbearable to eat while grilling. The staff, though speaking broken Japanese, tried their best and there were no major issues. However, since they are not yet fluent in Japanese, we had to be careful when listening or try to predict what they wanted to convey, which was a bit of an inconvenience. While there were more satisfying aspects overall, the noticeable shortcomings left an impression. I hope these areas will be improved in the future.

    The Best Accommodation

    We stayed at the accommodation to celebrate his birthday. Since he loves saunas, I chose this place, and it turned out to be an absolutely perfect stay. A luxurious time spent refreshing in the private sauna both in the morning and at night. In the evening, we enjoyed a barbecue-style dinner with premium meats, spiny lobster, abalone, and other exquisite seafood—a truly blissful experience. The breakfast was also exceptional—visually delightful and delicious! Each dish was prepared with care, making every bite perfect until the very end. What touched me most was the warm and attentive service of all the staff members. They kindly accommodated my request for a birthday surprise for him, discreetly coordinating timings and interactions so he wouldn’t notice—it was truly appreciated. Thanks to their efforts, we were able to create unforgettable special memories together. Surrounded by a sky full of stars, it felt like both our minds and bodies were completely cleared—a truly extraordinary moment away from everyday life. This is a special place I would love to visit again with someone dear to me.
