It was incredibly relaxing!
We went touring around the Miyama area and stayed at this Accommodation for one night with two friends. It’s in a place with amazing views, and the Accommodation was clean, well maintained, and beautifully decorated with artwork. There is a bath on the second floor, and soaking in it while looking out at the mountains was absolutely wonderful. For dinner, we made a special request and they prepared amago trout for us; the chicken hot pot and wild boar were incredibly delicious. The view while dining was also very nice. Breakfast was Japanese-style, and the local ingredients were excellent. The hosts were very kind and easy to talk to, and we truly appreciate all their help. Even though it was just one night, it was deeply relaxing—we could take our time, and it turned into an amazing day. Since the scenery changes with each season, we definitely want to stay at this Accommodation again! We also received jam and a penlight as souvenirs.

We were truly delighted to know that you chose our Accommodation during your touring trip and were able to relax and fully enjoy the scenery, the atmosphere, and the meals. Thank you as well for mentioning the paintings inside the house, and the mountain views from the second-floor bath and irori hearth area. The view from the windows changes with the seasons and time of day, and it is one of our favorite sights too. We are also glad to hear that you enjoyed local specialties such as Kyoto jidori chicken hot pot, wild boar, and amago trout. Thank you again for sharing so many enjoyable stories with us. It was a wonderful accommodation.
- We stayed during the Golden Week holidays for one night with two adults and one Shiba Inu, including dinner and breakfast. - The renovated traditional farmhouse retains its rustic charm while offering a modern feel. There is a spacious earthen-floor entry area and a spotless kitchen, and the wooden room with a working irori hearth also had plenty of space. - What stood out most was the clever placement of the windows. They aren’t large, but when you sit by the hearth you can see the satoyama ridgeline and blue sky. From the second-floor bathroom, you can also enjoy views of the mountains and river, and soak in the bath while feeling a cool breeze. - The main bedroom is on the second floor, but we asked to have futons prepared on the first floor for Child Sharing Existing Bedding so we could sleep close to our Shiba Inu. - For dinner, we enjoyed chicken sukiyaki simmering over charcoal in the irori—absolutely delicious. For breakfast we chose Japanese-style; the Wakasa Obama dried mackerel was excellent, and we also loved the obanzai side dishes along with locally grown white rice and eggs. We also learned for the first time that this neighboring town is said to be where natto originated. - The owner not only kindly chatted with my companion but also shared many fascinating stories about the area. One of our best parts of their hospitality was their resident “signboard dog”—a male Shiba Inu like ours—so gentle and adorable as he slowly wagged his tail (we nicknamed him “Shiba-senpai”). - Not only was this Accommodation itself wonderful, but so were the owner’s personality—and Shiba-senpai’s too. It was such a lovely place that we would absolutely love to return. Thank you very much for such an enjoyable stay.

We were truly delighted to read how carefully you enjoyed not only the building’s details, the irori hearth, and the earthen-floor space, but also the satoyama scenery from the windows and even how the breeze flows through. In particular, the view from the second-floor bath is one of our highlights, as it changes beautifully with the season and time of day. We’re also glad you enjoyed the Kyoto jidori sukiyaki at the irori table and our breakfast featuring mainly local ingredients. A cozy accommodation surrounded by nature
A beautifully renovated traditional Japanese house with spacious interiors. The room is pet-friendly, yet impeccably clean. We stayed as a couple with our beloved dog, and the space was more than sufficient. While there is a non-pet bedroom on the second floor, if you prefer Child Sharing Existing Bedding, they kindly prepare a full waterproof bedding set on the first floor. This accommodation is nestled in nature surrounded by stunning mountains, offering a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The owner has a warm and welcoming demeanor and engages in delightful conversations during facility tours or meal preparations. Both dinner and breakfast were hearty meals featuring luxurious local ingredients from Miyama. This accommodation truly satisfies in every aspect! While there’s nothing much around it, that simplicity adds to its charm. Highly recommended for those seeking a peaceful retreat!
