  Because the property...

  Because the property is deep in the mountains and wasn’t recognized by my car navigation, I used my phone’s map from partway there. There was only one small sign, so I missed it and ended up at a dead-end at the top of the road. I managed to make a U-turn and finally found the sign. When we arrived, there was a building but no one around, and we weren’t sure what to do (including where to park). My phone signal was also weak, so I called anyway. It went to voicemail asking for my name and reason for calling, so I left a message. They called back soon after, but it seemed they hadn’t received the voicemail details—they said they were returning a missed call. They said someone would come over, and it seems they arrived while we were on the phone and just missed us. We received a brief check-in procedure and explanation. I had emailed in advance with questions about the wood-fired bath and campfire, but those didn’t seem linked to our email conversation—I had to ask again in person to get an explanation. There was also no explanation about the Diamond benefit minibar credit. When I asked later, I was told it could be used; however, there weren’t any of the listed food items available. Since it could also be applied to the campfire fee, we used it toward that instead. The facilities are more than sufficient, and the main building is comfortable—like a small house with everything you need. The amenities are also well prepared. There were insect spray, skin insect repellent, and even mosquito coils (I don’t like bugs much, but it wasn’t as bad as I feared). We brought our own food for BBQ; the grill was excellent and we really enjoyed it. If you ask in advance about seasonings listed in the description, they will bring them for you. The wood-fired bath was wonderful—so relaxing in nature. We didn’t use the tent next to the bath this time because we were told it might get hot. I saw on social media that people roast marshmallows over a campfire here, but there was a door that couldn’t be opened during our stay. It might have been possible if we had asked. During our stay communication was via LINE message app), and Wi‑Fi is available. At checkout staff came by; they confirm everything first before settling payment. Since this trip included celebrating my companion’s birthday surprise), I wish there had been an option such as keeping prices hidden when explaining charges or payment details.)

At the same time, we sincerely regret that you felt uneasy or inconvenienced upon arrival and during your stay. When you arrived, our staff was waiting a short distance before the property to welcome you; however, it seems we missed each other. Regarding your phone call as well, after checking the voicemail message we called you back and confirmed your exact location before coming to pick you up. Nevertheless, we apologize that we were unable to provide a smooth welcome. As for the wood-fired bath and bonfire, we had also informed you in advance by email that “same-day requests are no problem.” We accept same-day requests so guests can decide based on the weather and other conditions. Going forward, we will also make sure to explain this at check-in. For Diamond member benefits, we offer a JPY 3,000 credit toward minibar items; however, there is no dedicated list for members and we cannot guarantee specific foods or beverages. We appreciate your understanding. Regarding the bonfire area: although flames can be enjoyed through the door as well, we keep it closed for safety reasons. That said, it is also possible to remove the door if you prefer. Thank you again for choosing us for such an important occasion—your companion’s birthday. If you let us know in advance regarding payment preferences, we can also accommodate requests such as keeping amounts undisclosed.
