    The facilities are excellent.

    This accommodation is a renovated traditional Kyoto townhouse. The semi-open-air Shigaraki ceramic bath was smooth to the touch and very pleasant. The room's furnishings and facilities were top-notch, ensuring a comfortable stay. The staff member was very kind, making us feel at ease.

    We stayed for two ni...

    We stayed for two nights as a family of four. We were impressed by the atmosphere of the traditional house. Good points: Since it is a whole house rental property, you can relax with just your family. The garden was lovely. Inconveniences: The bath is in the entrance area, and although it is partitioned with a screen, it is not relaxing. The floor of the changing room was cold, and I got chilled instantly. The noise from the washing machine was overwhelming (couldn't hear conversations or the TV at all). Since the partitions of the room and toilet are made of washi paper shoji, sound travels through. We struggled with the doors of the toilet and washroom as they were hard to open. There is an elementary school directly opposite, and while the children's voices in the morning didn't bother us, the voices and sounds of adults practicing tennis on the grounds at night were noticeable. Unfortunately, there was demolition work next door, and from around 8 a.m., the noise of metal pipes being moved and trucks coming and going was bothersome, making it impossible to relax.
