    Stylish and wonderfully spacious! A fantastic, family-friendly Accommodation

    This stylish A-frame vacation home is in a very quiet location. It’s far more spacious than staying in a Hotel Room, and even our family of five could truly relax without feeling cramped at all. Thanks to the baby amenities you provided, our stay was genuinely comfortable and very helpful. We sincerely appreciate your thoughtful attention to detail. The Onsen is fed directly from the source, so it may feel hot at first, but you can quickly adjust it by adding water and enjoy an exceptional soak.

    My child loved it, so this was our second stay. The staff were very kind and explained everything clearly. Both the bath and the Room were comfortable. Just one thing: I was a little concerned about the sticky, greasy splatters on the kitchen floor. Other than that, there were no issues. We would like to stay again.

    We stayed here on a ...

    We stayed here on a trip with our grandchildren, and they had a wonderful time—reading while relaxing on the swing and hammock, roasting and eating marshmallows over the campfire, and enjoying the open-air bath from the morning. There were amenities for children, and although he’s a boy, the owner even gave him a gift intended for women, which made him very happy. Next time they’ve requested an outdoor barbecue, so we’d love to stay here again.

    The Best Vacation Rental

    This was our first time staying here, and even though we made the Reservation just three days in advance, we were truly impressed by this wonderful Accommodation. When we contacted you to let you know we would arrive earlier than planned, you kindly shared recommended spots nearby. You also introduced us to a great butcher and a supermarket, which was very helpful. The Onsen was also excellent, and next time we’d love to come back in summer for a Multiple Night Stay. The snowy scenery was amazing!

    Enjoyed the autumn charm of Azumino.

    Stayed for one night with my partner at the end of October. I made the Reservation after reading Reviews about the excellent hospitality and being drawn to the charming triangular roof. The staff kindly provided detailed information about local shops during a phone consultation before our stay, and on the day, they gave us a thorough tour of the Facility. We purchased ingredients from the recommended shops before checking in. The floor heating was turned on in advance, which was a delightful touch. Although it rained and we had to cancel our barbecue plans, we were refunded, and thoroughly enjoyed using the hot plate in our Room instead. The apple juice, rice, and apples provided in the Room were delicious, and reheating bread with the Balmuda oven in the morning was fantastic. As advised, we prepared water for Onsen beforehand; however, it cooled down more than expected due to leaving windows open despite cold weather but could be adjusted by adding hot water. It was such a relaxing space where we spent truly wonderful moments together!

    Visit Again in Autumn

    We visited in late October after enjoying our stay in early summer. Although there was no autumn foliage, the crisp morning and evening air made for a pleasant family trip (three couples). The rooms were equipped with underfloor heating not only in the living room but also elsewhere, ensuring comfort. The cooking facilities were well-equipped, allowing us to enjoy preparing meals together as three couples. However, we found it difficult to understand how to use the ethanol stove, and the hot spring water temperature was lower than expected (in early summer, it was too hot and challenging). As a suggestion, adding a roll curtain on the bathroom side would be helpful for simultaneous use of the toilet and bathroom. Overall, we were very satisfied and would love to stay again!

    It felt as comfortable as home.

    The amenities, including cooking utensils, were carefully selected by the owner, making them easy to use and giving a homely feel. In addition to water, juice, and local wine, seasonings and coffee beans were also provided, allowing us to enjoy a barbecue without any inconvenience. After check-in, we went shopping while exploring the area. We bought vegetables at a recommended supermarket and meat at a butcher shop. The fillet of horse sashimi we tried for the first time was tender with no strong taste; even our 7-year-old son devoured 200g effortlessly. The staff at the store were kind, making it an enjoyable shopping experience. The Room was thoroughly cleaned. Although there are many insects in this area due to its nature-rich environment, insecticides and repellents were well-prepared. There was also a sense of privacy that allowed us to spend special moments here. We would love to visit again!

    Open-air Bath

    Overall, it was wonderful. The private open-air bath was exceptional, and I enjoyed it both in the morning and at night. If you're looking to relieve daily fatigue, this accommodation is highly recommended. I want to visit again!

    I want to build a house like this.

    It was a wonderful space. Surrounded by greenery, it had a calm atmosphere, and the facility was almost like new. The manager, despite the heat, was well-dressed and kindly provided detailed explanations, including recommendations for nearby shops. The bath uses a 70-degree hot spring source. We were instructed to let it cool naturally after filling it up, which made for a very pleasant experience. It's slightly disappointing that the toilet and sink are in a unit; having a partition would be ideal. We didn't get to meet the famous cat mentioned in the guestbook, but our whole family absolutely loved it. We'll definitely be back!

    We had a wonderful time.

    The reviews were great, and I had been curious about this accommodation for a long time. Although it was hard to find an opportunity to stay, I was lucky enough to find a cancellation for one day during the busy summer vacation period and quickly made a reservation. The result? Absolute satisfaction with this accommodation! We stayed with our little child, who was overjoyed running around the mountain lodge-style house with a big smile throughout our stay. Both adults and children had an enjoyable time, making it such a happy experience. The ingredients from Azumino were all delicious, and amidst continuous dining out during our trip, it was wonderful to cook meals ourselves as we liked. The onsen not only relieved our fatigue but also allowed us to relax leisurely in peace. Usually, during trips, we tend to pack in many activities into the schedule because we want to visit various places. However, being surrounded by nature here felt so comfortable—perhaps due to the benefits of forest bathing—that we spent time strolling around until just before check-out and enjoyed a slow-paced stay. I would love to stay here again! The owner was kind and provided helpful guidance with care—thank you very much! Although we couldn’t do BBQ this time, I hope to try it when my child grows older someday!

    Cleaning needs slight improvement.

    Stayed for two nights at this Onsen-equipped rental villa and enjoyed the high-quality hot spring with ample water flow, allowing for multiple relaxing baths. However, the property is noticeably old and lacks thorough cleaning. While basic seasonings were provided in the kitchen, their containers were sticky on the outside, and the refrigerator interior was not cleaned properly. The pots and pans were quite old with burnt residue that couldn't be removed even after washing, and their lids were also sticky. Considering Teflon cookware is consumable, better maintenance would be appreciated. It seems there might be a staff shortage, but more attention to cleaning is necessary to prevent further deterioration of the building. Relying solely on initial concepts or intentions may no longer suffice; proper upkeep will likely become increasingly important moving forward.

    A Picturesque Mountain Villa

    We stayed in a room with a detached annex for one night as a family. Although it was unfortunately rainy, the sight of raindrops on the greenery in the private garden created an extraordinary and beautiful atmosphere. The furnishings were tastefully selected, making just being there feel like an experience in itself. The annex allows for BBQ even in the rain, so we went ahead with it. However, there was a spot where rainwater dripped heavily from the parasol above the grill like a gutter, causing splashes that could soak your pants during heavy rain. It was still enjoyable because of how great the space was, but just something to note as information. The Onsen bath and toilet are located in the same space, so for larger groups, having access to the toilet in the annex might be convenient. This is an accommodation I’d love to visit again across all seasons and weather conditions. I hope it remains unchanged so I can drop by anytime—such a wonderful place!

    Would love to visit again!

    At first, I was a bit anxious as the staff only came at check-in, but in the end, I was extremely satisfied. The accommodation was well-equipped with everything we needed, and we received detailed information about the surrounding area. The next day, following their advice, we visited a bakery, bought milk at a roadside station, and had soba for lunch. The milk was the best I've ever had in my life. It's unfortunate that it's far from Tokyo, but it’s an accommodation I would love to visit again.

    Private Onsen with zero-distance access is the best!

    In March during the equinox season, we stayed for 2 nights in the largest cottage with an open-air bath, accommodating 2 adults and 4 children. ■ Highlights ❶ Exclusive Onsen with amazing water quality! The indoor bath and open-air bath were perfectly sized for a family. We fully enjoyed the Onsen experience, which is usually difficult to visit with a 1-year-old. The kids especially loved the rock-style open-air bath. However, since the source temperature is 50°C, adjusting it was challenging and we couldn’t always use it immediately when desired. ❷ A sense of adventure like a secret base! The second floor and annex felt like secret hideouts that thrilled the kids. Adults found it "surprisingly small." Despite many areas where dust could accumulate due to its structure, everything was spotless—impressive cleaning standards. ❸ Subtle hospitality Unique coffee equipment reflected the owner’s passion for coffee. Although requests could be written on paper for next-day needs, they even replenished coffee without us asking! For complimentary wine service, they kindly offered apple juice as an alternative since we’re not wine drinkers. Games like Jenga and card games (ito being a big hit), along with manga and books provided entertainment for our family. Netflix access was also readily available—unlimited viewing was fantastic. ■ Areas for Improvement - A dishwasher or washer-dryer would make multiple night stays more convenient; washing dishes for six people while traveling is tedious. - Since it's advertised as accommodating up to six people, there should be six deep plates suitable for curry or stew; only two adult-sized plates and two child-sized ones were provided. - The rice measuring cup had markings inside instead of being level-based—it made accurate measurement tricky. - Encountered three small ants (about 1 cm) indoors over one day—understandable given nature-rich surroundings but still notable. - Due to flooring material, visible footprints from walking around stood out noticeably which bothered us slightly.

    Spacious and clean, ...

    Spacious and clean, with a wonderful Onsen. The complimentary rice and apple juice were also great. It would have been even better if the toilet was separate.

    The warm hospitality was truly wonderful.

    Upon arrival, we received a thorough explanation of the facility. The room was very clean and had a chic atmosphere, with excellent amenities such as floor heating, making our stay very comfortable. Before our stay, we inquired whether it was possible to reach the accommodation with normal tires. However, during our stay, heavy snow fell and accumulated by the next morning. Since there were no other guests scheduled for that day, the staff kindly allowed us an unlimited check-out time, which made us truly happy. We left discussing how we'd love to stay here again together.

    Excellent!

    I wanted to spend a relaxing time in Nagano this time, and I found this place while searching for Stays. The Reviews were excellent, so I made a Reservation for this Property. I truly understood why everyone gave such good Reviews! Everything was simply the best!! The owner explained the Facility details thoroughly. They were very kind and provided detailed explanations, even guiding us to nearby supermarkets and butcher shops, which was very helpful! The Facility was very clean and well-maintained, with everything you could need! Both the microwave and rice cooker were from Balmuda, and we could use the coffee maker to enjoy free coffee. The kitchen was fully equipped with frying pans, hot plates, seasonings, plates, cups (both ceramic and disposable), and even cling film! We cooked this time, so having all the utensils was a huge plus! We received free Nagano-grown rice, mineral water, apples, and a bottle of apple juice, all of which were delicious and made us very happy! We also requested a BBQ set this time. They provided charcoal, fans, gloves, and even taught us how to light the fire. Even as beginners, we could easily start the fire and grill the meat! It was cold in winter, but they told us we could use the stove outside, so we stayed warm! The TV had YouTube, Netflix, and Amazon Prime, so we could enjoy any videos! My favorites were the underfloor heating and the bath! The first floor had underfloor heating, including the dressing room and washbasin area, so the tiled floor wasn't cold at all!! I was impressed! The bath was an Onsen, making my skin smooth and allowing me to relax! It was the best! The amenities were from L'Occitane, and besides shampoo and conditioner, they also provided L'Occitane cleansing and lotion, which was a nice touch! The hairdryer was powerful, and my hair dried quickly! I wondered if the second floor would be cold because of the open ceiling, but the heating worked well, so it wasn't cold at all! The bed was fluffy, and there were two types of pillows, allowing for a good night's sleep!! Everything was simply the best!! I definitely want to repeat my stay! Thank you very much!

    I am very satisfied this time as well.

    I stay at the property once or twice a year, but since it's a popular stay, it's quite difficult to make a reservation during the best season. We were blessed with good weather and were able to enjoy a BBQ outside without any issues, and we also indulged in the onsen with excellent spring quality multiple times. Meals enjoyed in the delicious air taste many times better. I was refreshed again this time. I will visit again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    It was good.

    Since BBQ requires starting a fire with charcoal, it might be better for those who can't do it to use the provided appliances for grilling. I reserved this room hoping to see the starry sky, but despite the clear weather, I couldn't see any stars at all. That was the only disappointment, but the facilities were good. I would like a bed to be installed.

    I was healed.

    I was finally able to stay at the long-awaited triangular roof. Everything we needed was provided, and we were able to spend a quiet and relaxing time with our family without any inconvenience. On the first day, it was unfortunately raining, but the children were able to play with JENGA, origami, drawing, reading, and UNO that were prepared for us, so they never got bored. We were very satisfied with soaking in the hot spring bath in the room and enjoying delicious meat. The ice cream shop, soba restaurant, and Italian restaurant that were recommended to us were all very delicious, and we had ice cream twice! There are also places nearby where children can enjoy, such as the Azumino Chihiro Art Museum and Alps Azumino Park, and since we couldn't visit all of them this time, we would like to stay for two nights next time to enjoy sightseeing and delicious food at a leisurely pace. We stay in Kamikochi every year, so we are planning to stay together with Kamikochi next year. We are looking forward to it. Thank you for taking care of us.

    The concierge's hospitality exceeds imagination!

    (Changed to a separate building for the stay) We had requested to rent two buildings as a group, but due to some cancellations, the number of people decreased by two from the time of reservation on the day. We didn't think much of it and were listening to the concierge's explanation of the room, but midway through, they suggested, "Would you like to have one building for six people?" We were surprised. That one building was a special one among them, and during our planning stage, it was already booked, and we had given up because it exceeded the planned number of people. But it had a bonfire that we loved! It was a location we really desired. Later, we completely forgot about it, but it turned out that it was canceled on the day, and as a result, we were moved and had an extremely blissful trip!!! Truly moved! Grateful and impressed! Super excited! The bath in this building was the only one with an open-air bath. It was more impressive than in the photos, and the design was very good (unfortunately, I only took videos and have no photos!). The bonfire was stylish!!! Also, as everyone has written, the hospitality in this wonderful location is simply the best! There was delicious apple juice, and a gift of rice in the refrigerator, but only this building had an additional gift of a bottle of wine! Wow! Are we okay!? Have we accumulated so much virtue!? Haha, we experienced happiness to the point of being scared. Thank you very much. I hope many people will experience it. Thank you very much for taking care of us at that time!

    Stayed in a detached room with a suspension bridge type and one with a high ceiling.

    We stayed for a planned two-night, three-day trip in the accommodation with a suspension bridge type annex, but it was so comfortable that we asked to extend our stay. Fortunately, there was a cancellation for the high-ceiling type room, so we stayed there for one more night. The cottage with an annex is highly recommended as it features a private garden where you can enjoy a bonfire and an open-air bath. On the first day, a local stray cat came to visit us, and on the second day, we had fun watching a group of monkeys (7-8) walking right in front of us. The manager was incredibly sincere and helpful throughout our stay—we are truly grateful! We traveled by train but found that it was easy to enjoy even without a car. We had purchased mineral water and BBQ sauces beforehand but realized they weren’t necessary. Azumino has abundant underground water sourced from rivers originating in the Northern Alps, making tap water delicious! We even cooked rice using tap water—it turned out amazing! Small packets of BBQ sauce and dressings were also provided in the refrigerator. This was such an incredible cottage that I genuinely want to visit again someday. Thank you very much for everything!
