I will never go again.

I used this accommodation for a birthday trip with a loved one. I was aware that BBQ might be provided in the room depending on the weather, and I adjusted my schedule to enjoy dinner at 4 PM with my dog in the room. However, the ingredients were delayed by two hours, and at 4 PM, nothing was prepared. It turned out that the facility had forgotten about dinner preparation altogether. When I first inquired, they admitted their mistake but suggested going out for dinner instead, offering to cover transportation costs via taxi. Considering we had informed them beforehand about staying with our dog and knowing there are limited restaurants where dogs are allowed, this suggestion was unrealistic. We specifically chose this accommodation because it allowed us to stay with our dog. The experience of enjoying dinner from 4 PM itself held significant value and justified paying over 20,000 yen more than a no-meal plan. Losing both that time and experience while being offered an impractical solution like dining out was extremely disappointing. Eventually, when the ingredients were finally provided later on, they brought ice cream as an apology gesture. When I expressed dissatisfaction with just ice cream as compensation, they then proposed waiving the pet fee and offering late check-out as alternatives. However, since this issue had nothing to do with pet fees specifically—and after pointing that out—they responded by saying they'd keep charging for pets but refund only for dinner costs instead. It felt like no genuine effort or sincerity came through unless dissatisfaction was explicitly voiced multiple times; even their statement "then we'll still charge you for pets" left me feeling distrustful rather than reassured—more focused seemingly upon financial calculations than heartfelt apologies overall. This trip marked celebrating someone’s special birthday occasion planned carefully ahead-of-time wherein shared moments during meals together formed integral parts centralizing its purpose entirely beyond mere delays alone undermining core experiences themselves significantly affecting memories negatively overall detracting enjoyment completely throughout entire stay ultimately leaving lasting disappointment behind permanently henceforth precluding future visits altogether alongside discouraging recommendations towards others similarly seeking comparable stays elsewhere moving forward
