    We stayed here a few...

    We stayed here a few years ago and returned because of the outstanding, one-of-a-kind location right above the sea. We’ve used several properties in THE HOUSE series, and this one has the most impressive sense of closeness to the ocean. It’s a short walk from the parking area, but that actually adds to the special feel. The only disappointment was that both the red and white shabu-shabu broths at dinner were spicy. At our home, shabu-shabu isn’t something we associate with spicy flavors, and we chose a meal-included Plan because shabu-shabu is usually something children can eat as well. Since neither of us adults can handle spicy food either, once we realized both broths were spicy, we rushed to a convenience store to buy a non-spicy hot pot soup base... I imagine families with children may stay here too, so it would be helpful if the meal description clearly stated when only spicy options are provided. That said, both the meat and vegetables were very delicious.

    Hideaway

    Load your luggage onto the staff's carry wagon from the parking lot and follow the single track to discover a secluded beach that feels like your own private retreat. Here, you'll find just one exclusive beach house. The view is breathtaking, with an expansive ocean panorama and distant sights of Mt. Fuji and Enoshima Island. It's the ultimate hideaway. The living-dining-kitchen area is spacious and open, fully equipped with all necessary cooking tools for you to enjoy self-catering. On your way here, we highly recommend stopping by Miura Bakery "Jumugi" to pick up fresh pasta, delicious bread, and craft beer. A newly installed sauna awaits you as well—take a refreshing dip in the sea as a cold plunge alternative! Immerse yourself in an extraordinary escape!

    It was very relaxing.

    We stayed with our dog and our family of three. We were very satisfied with the view, the Room, and the sea. The walk to the Room was a bit long, but we were glad it didn’t rain. We’re sorry for the trouble, and thank you to the female staff member who helped us. We cooked seafood we bought at the market and it was delicious. We stocked up at a supermarket about 5 minutes away, and during our 2 nights and 3 days we didn’t go anywhere except the beach—playing in the sea and relaxing in the Room—so we had a wonderful holiday. You never get tired of watching the ocean. Our family really enjoyed it, and we would definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much.

    We created wonderful memories! Taking a nap while gazing at the ocean was so relaxing and perfect. It truly felt like being on a remote island, and we had an amazing time.

    The view was amazing.

    The view of the beautiful sea and Mount Fuji, with its changing scenery throughout the day, was breathtaking. We bought fresh ingredients from a nearby market and cooked in the kitchen, which was very user-friendly and allowed us to prepare delicious meals. The amenities, including a screen, sound system, and lovely shampoo, were well-prepared and added to our comfort. The only downside was that while the view was stunning, the windows were not very clean. The champagne provided as part of the Diamond Member benefits was delightful, making our stay highly satisfying. We would love to stay here again!

    Seaside Villa with Stunning Views

    Last time, we stayed at THE HOUSE Koajiro marina suite and were deeply impressed, so this time we visited with our family of four and one dog. As mentioned in the guide, it takes about 10 minutes to walk from the parking lot to the facility. The path is partially unpaved, so it's better not to bring too much luggage. After walking through a trail surrounded by tall grass, you'll arrive at a rocky beach and THE HOUSE Moroiso secret beach. As many reviews mention, the biggest highlight here is undoubtedly the breathtaking view from the windows. Occasionally you might see people strolling or fishing, but most of the time you can enjoy gazing at an almost deserted sea in peaceful solitude—a true luxury. Unlike sandy beaches, this rocky coastline evokes a sense of melancholy and an extraordinary feeling of being detached from everyday life (in a good way). The facility appears to be a renovated traditional house, offering a unique charm different from hotel-like cleanliness. The fact that you can enjoy stunning views even from the bath is another delightful feature. For dinner again this time: shabu-shabu! We enjoyed fresh and delicious meat and vegetables thoroughly. Breakfast preparation went smoothly thanks to an additional frying pan provided (thank you!). The staff were courteous and kind—truly exceptional service! Just thinking about which The House property we'll stay at next excites us already!

    This is my second time, but...

    I have used The House's Vacation Rental several times. The last time my husband and I stayed in Moroiso, the view was amazing, so this time we stayed with four colleagues from work. This Property has an absolutely fantastic location! There is a slight drawback of having to walk a little from the parking lot, but it seems like a necessary journey to escape from the mundane world (laughs). Since it's remote, there were almost no people along the coast, allowing us to relax. The starry sky and projector were also excellent! Lastly, I forgot something when leaving, but their response was wonderful; it was a pleasant three days. I will use it again!

    Comfortable

    The Room was spacious and clean. Above all, the view was excellent, and I had a great time. The food was delicious, and the staff were kind. I would like to visit again. Thank you very much.

    Such a spectacular view is hard to come by.

    We visited as a family. It's rare to find such a breathtaking view. It can only be described as truly amazing. However, getting there was quite challenging. We drove, but detailed information was sent just before our arrival, so we couldn't prepare adequately and ended up wandering around, pushing through grass until we finally arrived. Nevertheless, we were moved by the stunning scenery, and the barbecue set was all delicious. Also, the cleaning was somewhat lacking. It seemed like the previous guests were concerned and added water? The grill plate on the gas range was left as it was, and there were hairs left on the table, but it was such a wonderful experience that we forgot about those things.

    The best location by the sea

    Every year, towards the end of summer, I visit this property, which is the most special to me. It is built on the sea cliffs, and you can reach the sea immediately by descending the stairs. I love spending time on the terrace, slowly gazing at the sunset over the sea and reminiscing about summer memories. This facility allows you to stay with your dog, and I don't think there's a better location than this! At night, you can relax with your dogs while watching a movie on the big screen. The staff helps with carrying luggage using a cart, but since there is a distance from the parking lot to the facility, it might be challenging if you have extremely large luggage.

    My favorite vacation rental

    I was so satisfied with my stay last year that I decided to come back. My daughter who married and moved to Shimane, and my two sons living in Tokyo also said, "If it's THE HOUSE, we'll go!" So, the whole family was able to gather again this year! For about 35 years, we've been hopping around vacation rentals in the southern to western Izu every summer, but this place has become the absolute favorite for the whole family. Our criteria for choosing a place to stay are "as close to the sea as possible," "beautiful sea," "stylish," "snorkeling = lots of fish," "fishing = catch a lot," "dog-friendly," "can do BBQ," and "staff are pleasant," and this place scores full marks on all counts!! After 35 years, we've finally found our ideal accommodation. For your reference... 　【Snorkeling】 　　　・It's rocky, but the rocks are not painful to walk on barefoot, making it easy to enter the sea. 　　　・There aren't many tropical fish, but instead, we saw lots of groups of Girella, black sea bream, mullet, red grouper, wrasse, halfbeak, and silver-stripe round herring. 　　　・The north side of the lighthouse was better than the front of THE HOUSE. 　【Fishing】 　　　・Last year, we went to the prime spot "High Dive" in Miura, but only caught wrasse with bait fishing... 　　　　My son caught 4 or 5 rockfish and red grouper with worm-type lures. 　　　・This year, it was a feeding frenzy on the north side of the lighthouse (below the villa)! 　　　　We were thrilled with repeated catches of Girella, black sea bream, and rabbitfish. 　　　　The bait was packed krill, no chum. We caught about 50 fish in 2 hours (with 3 people). 　【BBQ】 　　　・With an American-made gas grill, even the 1kg block of meat we bought from Meat Guy was deliciously grilled. 　　　・The outdoor terrace is covered, and surrounded by the building and rock face on all sides except the west, so it's fine even if it rains, and feels like a cave, which is calming. 　　　　Once full, you can lie on the wooden deck outside the roof and gaze at the starry sky, and if it's hot, there's a shower right there. 　　　　It was so comfortable that we spent all our time on this terrace except for sleeping. 　【Staff】 　　　・In our two visits, we interacted with a total of 9 staff members, and all of them were extremely pleasant and kind, which was a great learning experience for our family, who all work in customer service. 　【Sea Slaters】 　　　In our experience, seas with lots of sea slaters are rich in life (crabs and fish). We'll be back again next year!
