    The BBQ while watching the sunset was amazing.

    We stayed as a couple. The weather forecast before our stay predicted rain, so even though it was only three days before, we asked if we could change dinner to a BBQ. They kindly accommodated our request. We truly appreciate their flexibility despite the short notice. In the end, it was absolutely the right choice. First of all, the quality of the meat was outstanding—so good that I couldn’t help saying “Delicious!” from the very first bite. The balance between the sweet fat and flavorful lean meat was perfect, and the portion size was just right, so we enjoyed it without getting tired of it until the end. At this quality and price, it honestly felt like a great value. As we started eating, the sky gradually turned orange, and Mt. Asama in front of us glowed in the sunset, creating an almost magical view. Watching the sky change color over time and slowly transition into a quiet night while enjoying BBQ was truly luxurious. The peacefulness you can only experience in nature felt wonderful, and we were able to relax and forget about everyday life. We had originally planned to go out for dinner at a popular bakery restaurant in Karuizawa, but not having to leave the villa meant we could enjoy drinks at our own pace without worrying about time—which was fantastic. Since we were able to visit that restaurant for an early lunch the next day, it worked out perfectly as part of our travel plan. The villa offered not only beautiful views but also plenty of privacy, making for a stay where we could fully enjoy nature’s beauty from dusk to night and into morning. For those staying here in the future, I highly recommend choosing an Accommodation with meals Plan. Rather than going out to eat elsewhere, I think this is a place where you can feel its charm more deeply by taking your time at the villa while enjoying the scenery and nature. It was such a wonderful stay that made us want to return again in another season.

    Just before the end of the rainy season

    We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days with our dog. There was a large terrace with a mosquito-net-style insect screen, and when it wasn’t raining we ate our meals there. It felt close to nature, the views were great, and it was wonderful. The only minor downsides were that it was a bit inconvenient to wash in the small shower room and then soak in the bath, and it felt wasteful that towels were replaced every day even though we didn’t need them changed.

    Overall, I’m very satisfied.

    The Room was spacious and uncluttered, so it felt like pets wouldn’t be able to get into mischief. It also felt reassuring even with a baby. There was a large trash bin, and being able to throw everything away in one place was more convenient than having multiple small bins. Meals were great as well—BBQ was prepared for each Room, so we only had to grill. The meat was very delicious, and the rice had already been cooked in advance, which showed how thoughtfully everything is arranged. There is very little direct interaction with staff, but if you need anything and call, they come quickly and help. The in-Room bath was wonderful, and there is also a large public bath where you can enjoy different types of baths. The large public bath was almost private during our stay. Each Room also has a cart, making it easy to get to the large public bath. Driving the cart was a fun bonus. There are many insects outside, but measures are taken so they don’t get into the Room or onto the balcony, and there were none at all in the large public bath. A lot of insects fly around outdoors, but it’s impressive how well they prevent them from coming inside. Insect repellent is also provided, which made us feel fairly at ease. It’s an Accommodation I’d like to visit again—next time for a Multiple Night Stay.

    We were able to relax in this wonderful villa.

    Staying at Polaris, we were able to relax at our own pace—like visiting friends—while enjoying a balcony BBQ that the staff came to set up as we unwound in the Room. Alcohol was provided in the Room, and one bottle of wine was included as well. Even with a toddler, the kids happily played on their own, going back and forth between the balcony and the kids’ tent on the second floor, so we could truly relax. The balcony and windbreak room were completely covered with mosquito netting, so insect protection was perfect. Next time, we’d love to stay with two families!

    Golden Week Family Trip

    We were able to enjoy a relaxing, peaceful time with views of Mt. Asama from the living room and the bath. They kindly accommodated our request to adjust the meal ingredients so our child could eat them, and their hospitality was truly appreciated. Thank you very much. We would love to stay again in a different season.

    A private villa rental with breathtaking views.

    We stayed at Cassiopeia as a family. This time we booked No Meals Included, but honestly, in winter it would have been better to include meals. The roads are dark at night and can be icy, so going out for dinner was quite difficult. The villa itself is wonderful and very comfortable, and with the clear air, quiet surroundings, and beautiful sunsets and sunrises, it truly feels like a place to relax and take it slow. Next time we will definitely book with meals included so we can unwind at the villa in the evening. If you’re visiting in winter, I highly recommend having your meals at the villa!

    Perfect for staying with pets

    The Facility had some minor wear in the bathroom (such as the plumbing stoppers), so there were a few small issues, but overall we were more than satisfied. If I had to mention one thing, this time the only dining option was in-room meals, and only an expensive course was available. The quality matched the price, but it felt like too much food and some went to waste—almost too luxurious. Those with a big appetite will be very satisfied!! Overall there were no problems, and we really enjoyed the beautiful nature and the starry night sky.

    The environment was great, and it was a very nice accommodation!

    The room is compact and user-friendly. It was clean and comfortable during the stay. The staff, though foreign, provided pleasant service. Dinner was plentiful and delicious, leaving me very satisfied. Breakfast was also tasty. However, the bathroom felt a bit underwhelming. Fortunately, the Sky Spa was close to the room I stayed in, which made it convenient to use and enjoyable. The bathroom in my accommodation felt a bit lacking though... Overall, it’s a great accommodation with a nice environment that I would like to visit again.

    It was our first tri...

    It was our first trip with two dogs. Although it was quite expensive for one night for five adults, we were able to stay comfortably even with the unfamiliar experience of traveling with dogs. The meals were very delicious. On the first day, Mount Asama was brown, but by the next morning, it was covered in snow. Later, as the weather worsened and clouds hid it from view, it reappeared completely white—a breathtaking sight visible through the entire window. The autumn leaves were at their peak season as well; however, since our dogs are not fond of cold weather, they couldn’t enjoy walks or play in the dog run much. We should have visited during a warmer season. One very disappointing thing was that there was medicine found in a corner of the Room—a nausea medication called Primperan. If we hadn’t noticed it in time, our dogs would have definitely eaten it. I shuddered at the thought that they might have already eaten something else before we noticed and worried for a while afterward. Fortunately, they remained healthy and nothing happened after that incident. While cleaning seemed thorough overall, finding medicine on the floor is unacceptable—especially when there are babies or pets around who could be harmed by such negligence.

    It became the best memory.

    Chateau Waimarama and Seasonal Gourmet Experience from Shinshu and Gunma with Private Chef Course Dinner Plan We stayed in the Presidential Suite Polaris. Our group consisted of three families, and the room was incredibly spacious and luxurious, equipped with two toilets, allowing us to stay comfortably without any inconvenience. Unfortunately, it rained on the day of our stay, so we couldn't enjoy the cottage area. However, the view from the room was spectacular, and even our 1-year-old child was excited throughout our stay. For dinner, we reserved a private chef dinner plan. It was a rare experience to enjoy a luxurious meal in privacy within our room at a relaxed pace—highly recommended! The Chateau Waimarama dishes were exceptionally delicious, and we were very satisfied with the course menu. Additionally, all family members were deeply impressed by the warm hospitality provided by both the chef and staff members. The bathroom attached to our room had slightly tricky temperature controls for its shower system. The spa facility is not very large; when other guests are present, it can feel quite crowded. However, the sauna offers high temperatures that are truly refreshing. Moreover, from its open-air bath area overlooking Mount Asama during autumn season provides breathtaking views. For breakfast we chose Western-style cuisine—it’s simpler compared to dinner but still very tasty despite being smaller in portion size overall! We would love returning again next time visiting Karuizawa trip soon Thank You So Much

    It was an accommodation full of privacy! However...

    The private villa was quite luxurious with its jacuzzi, deck, and both Japanese and Western-style rooms. However, based on my first experience, here are the reasons why I couldn't give a perfect score: - The projector did not work properly despite multiple attempts to fix it. This was disappointing for a relaxing villa stay—so much so that we felt a discount would have been appropriate. My family was let down as well. - The TV in the main room was too small for the space and poorly positioned (difficult to view from the sofa). - There were not enough sofas for everyone to relax comfortably—another set is needed. - If guests are allowed to bring their own items, it would be better if dishes could be made available without having to request them from staff. What we liked: - The majestic view of Mount Asama right in front of us was wonderful. - Features like insect screens and double doors at the entrance provided good insulation and security measures. - The BBQ had plenty of delicious meat but could use more vegetables. - Breakfast was also tasty and enjoyable. Overall, at this price point, unless these issues are addressed, I don't think we would consider staying again.

    It was excellent.

    We stayed at the accommodation Polaris with our family and dog. The photos often exaggerate, but here the sunset and stars were truly beautiful and moving. The room was spacious, allowing us to spend quality time with our family. Our family eats a lot, but the BBQ portions were sufficient and delicious. One disappointing aspect was that there was a private event at the campsite just below, where loud singing and talking through a microphone could be heard throughout our BBQ on the terrace. Even though we stayed in one of the farthest rooms, it was quite noisy. While this is not the fault of this accommodation and seems to be an occasional occurrence, it might be worth suggesting they request better volume or time management from those hosting such events. Additionally, changing reservation details for additional guests required canceling and rebooking entirely, which made us anxious about securing another booking properly. On top of that, despite increasing guest numbers, we lost out on coupon discounts which left us disappointed. Overall though, it was an amazing stay at a wonderful accommodation that we would love to visit again!

    A space to indulge in luxurious moments away from everyday life.

    This was our second stay, with the first being four years ago. At the request of my son, now in his third year of junior high school, we decided to visit again. We didn’t do anything special but simply enjoyed the beautiful natural scenery, relaxed over meals, and cherished quality time with family—it was pure bliss. The BBQ on the terrace was also fantastic! Next time, we plan to visit during a different season.

    Comfortable premium rental over 100 sqm, pet-friendly – your top choice!

    I stayed for two nights in the Presidential Suite Polaris and had an exceptionally pleasant experience, making this accommodation highly recommended. ■ Facility The check-in process is non-face-to-face and fully digitalized. All guides, including how to use the facilities and amenities inside and outside the room, are explained clearly through web pages or videos accessible via QR codes. If you have any questions, you can easily contact staff via room call, which is very convenient. The facility includes a restaurant, lounge, and spa sauna with on-site staff available for assistance if needed. It combines the privacy of an Airbnb with the reliable service of a hotel. ■ Room The high ceiling and direct view of Mount Asama make it very comfortable. The spacious balcony features a table, chairs, and relaxation bed facing Mount Asama directly—truly exceptional. With mosquito nets installed all around, there’s almost no concern about insects. Since there’s no gas stove or cooking utensils provided, preparing meals from supermarket ingredients isn’t possible here. In the evening, I enjoyed watching movies on Netflix using their home theater sound system—it was surprisingly high-quality. ■ Meals For dinner: BBQ; for breakfast: Western-style meal—both highly recommended! The BBQ set includes beef (including rare cuts like Tomosankaku), pork, chicken along with vegetables, salad, and rice—all top quality! Especially noteworthy was the local Shinshu Wagyu premium loin steak; its marbled texture was tender with a sweet flavor—absolutely delicious! Enjoying BBQ on the balcony during Karuizawa's cool summer evenings was truly fantastic. For multiple night stays: Dinner + breakfast are included every day. ■ Spa Sauna Having shared bathing facilities in such private accommodations is appreciated—they were clean and spacious. ■ Access Although Karuizawa Town is 40 minutes away by car (making dining out feasible), navigating winding mountain roads that aren’t fully paved made travel more challenging than expected. Spending daytime exploring nearby areas followed by evening strolls around cooler surroundings before dining at this accommodation turned out to be ideal!

    Summer Vacation

    It was an ideal destination for escaping the summer heat. The mornings and evenings were pleasantly cool, allowing us to enjoy a comfortable and restful sleep without air conditioning for the first time in a while. During the day, soft sunlight filtered through the mountains, creating a serene atmosphere with hints of autumn—a truly peaceful and luxurious experience. The meals were all incredibly delicious, so much so that we found ourselves indulging more than usual. The drink service was also delightful, reflecting thoughtful hospitality perfect for this season. Additionally, the staff provided excellent English support, ensuring an international level of care that made us feel at ease. The amenities for our dog were very well-prepared, making it an ideal choice for travelers with pets as well. It was such a wonderful stay that we wished we could remain here throughout the entire summer!

    Stayed at Polaris P0...

    Stayed at Polaris P01 with my beloved dog. The accommodation features a private dog run, making it enjoyable to stay with pets. The room clearly marked areas where pets are not allowed with "PET NO," which was easy to understand. We ordered additional Matsusaka beef, but even without the extra order, the portions were more than enough. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, especially the rice which was exceptionally tasty. Drinks in the refrigerator were complimentary, adding great value. It would be nice if women's amenities were more comprehensive. For example, while cleansing products were provided, there was no facial wash or skincare items like lotion or moisturizer available as a set. The bathroom is combined with the vanity area; having separate changing rooms would be better as this design can lead to wet floors everywhere. For pet amenities: there were no wet wipes available which caused some inconvenience. Additionally, there was no pet bed provided; we laid towels inside a cage for our dog to sleep on but having a proper bed would have been ideal (bringing your own bed is recommended). Traveling to cooler places during hot seasons is truly wonderful! The room was clean and well-maintained—looking forward to visiting again someday! Thank you very much!

    We stayed as a family of four. Since it was still quite cold in the morning and evening, we chose the BBQ Plan but ended up grilling meat on the terrace and eating inside the room. The service and meal quality matched the price, so we were very satisfied. If I may suggest, it would be great to have extra dishes or paper plates available for cooking. Additionally, our children received fireworks as a gift and enjoyed them in the parking area attached to our accommodation building. It was such a wonderful experience that we would love to stay again. Although most of the staff were foreigners, they were very polite and courteous in their service. We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude—thank you very much!

    Stay with overseas friends including children aged 0, 2, 3, and 4.

    Stayed at Polaris with three families, including an Italian family visiting Japan. Initially thought we might need two accommodations, but we managed to stay with the maximum capacity of 4 adults and 4 children, enjoying lots of conversations and a wonderful time together. The accommodation features a Western-style room with beds and a tatami room where futons can be laid out, allowing everyone to relax or spend time in their own space when needed. This thoughtful design made it easy to respect each other's preferences. Both kids and adults gathered in the living area for fun games and lively chats, making it the perfect place for our trip. We chose shabu-shabu for meals. It was delicious! At first, we wondered if it might not be enough for four adults, but the rich meat left us feeling full midway through. The dads who eat more ended up finishing off the remaining meat! Since it's self-serve style, you can enjoy meals at your preferred timing and quantity—perfect for accommodating kids' picky eating habits or sudden hunger. The accommodation includes both private baths with saunas (and löyly) in the rooms as well as larger baths in separate facilities nearby. This flexibility allowed us to choose based on our needs. The design and amenities around the bath area were thoughtfully crafted, adding to our enjoyment. For children, there were indoor tent toys available as well as a private path next to Polaris where they played sledding or built snowmen since there was leftover snow that day—they never got bored! High chairs were provided for kids too. Additionally, there’s a play area near separate facilities like baths or restaurants where children could have fun while parents enjoyed lunch overlooking Mount Asama after checkout. We also noticed they are building an even bigger slide nearby—making it even more exciting for kids! The unobstructed view of Mount Asama from our room was breathtaking—it offered relaxation surrounded by nature while enjoying its changing beauty throughout the day. Our Italian friends also loved how relaxing their stay was here! It felt like staying at our own vacation home where we could set our pace while still receiving attentive service from friendly staff whenever needed—a perfect balance. We hope to return again with other family friends someday; this place is sure to create unforgettable memories filled with joy for both kids and adults alike! Thank you so much!

    I have visited Karui...

    I have visited Karuizawa many times, but this was my second trip with my dog. Last time, my dog wasn’t feeling well, so I wanted to try again and decided to visit. I chose Sora Yama Bou because the reviews were good, and it had a spa that seemed appealing. The result was excellent. Unfortunately, the spa was under maintenance and unavailable, but both my dog and I had a very comfortable stay. This was also our first time experiencing this type of dining style; breakfast required some preparation on our part, but it turned out to be fun. The minestrone provided was incredibly delicious as well! Dinner included an abundance of delicious meat and vegetables—every piece of meat was flavorful without any strong taste or odor. It’s amazing how much you can eat when everything is so tasty. Although we rarely encountered staff members directly, everything was thoughtfully arranged in detail. Additionally, knowing that staff would promptly assist if needed gave us peace of mind. It’s unfortunate that we couldn’t see Mount Asama this time around; however, next time we plan to return for the spa experience and the view of Mount Asama! Thank you for your hospitality—it was greatly appreciated!

    Used for a stay with my beloved dog after a long time

    We usually visit Karuizawa for a day trip, but this time we stayed at Kuuzanbou. Since it was just the two of us and our beloved dog, we stayed in the Cassiopeia room. We could check in and out from the room, which was great as there was no face-to-face interaction. The room was clean, bright, and comfortable. The seafood hot pot for dinner was luxurious, and we were very satisfied with the breakfast as well. We used the spa in a separate building for the bath, and on the way back, we felt warm and comfortable instead of chilled. However, for us who are over sixty, the protruding wall-mounted TV in the bedroom requires attention to avoid bumping our feet on the step. Other than that, it was a very lovely environment with great views, and we would like to visit again in the spring. The staff were proficient in Japanese and provided excellent service.

    It was the best Stays to spend time with my dog!

    We visited with our family and dog during the summer vacation. Check-in was smooth as we entered the room using the number key provided in advance. Both check-in and check-out being self-service was quite convenient. The room was clean, and we were satisfied with both the quality and quantity of the meals. It might be a bit lacking for those who eat a lot. The refrigerator was inclusive with all-you-can-drink options like beer, highball, Horoyoi, and soft drinks. Additionally, we enjoyed some sparkling wine as it was also available. The bath required a cart ride to a building near the entrance, but the weather was pleasant for the season, so even though it was raining, it didn't bother us. If I were to be indulgent, I would say it would have been even better if it were an Onsen. We used the shared dog run, which was spacious, and since there were no other dogs, our usually shy dog enjoyed it more than ever. Since each unit is separate, we weren't bothered by the voices of other dogs or people, allowing us to relax in a private and luxurious space. We hope to come again next year!

    This is my second ti...

    This is my second time here! Despite being pet-friendly, the place was clean and well-maintained. For the barbecue, instead of rice balls like last time, freshly cooked rice from a rice cooker was available, allowing us to enjoy more and tastier portions. The meat was also incredibly delicious, so I am very satisfied. I would love to use this place again.

    Beautiful scenery

    This time, we stayed at Sirius with five family members and two dogs. Dinner was BBQ, and the seafood was delicious, as well as the meat. Breakfast was Japanese style, with grilled eggs and koji-marinated salmon, which was warm and comforting. The amenities were organic, and the skin cream was especially excellent! There were plenty of toilet sheets prepared, which was helpful, and the snacks seemed delicious too! Driving the room-exclusive tuk-tuk was a bit confusing, but it was a good experience since we don't often get the chance to drive one. The staff were from Nepal, and their Japanese was excellent, with polite and easy-to-understand language. The best part was the scenery! It was raining in the morning, but when it cleared up, we were surrounded by greenery, and at night, the towers were lit up with warm lights, making it very beautiful. It was so good that I would like to have a Multiple Night Stay next time. Thank you very much.
