Private Rental in a Peaceful Countryside
During the Obon holiday, we spontaneously decided on a trip to Iwate and were lucky to find availability for accommodation. We stayed as a couple in a luxurious traditional Japanese house located on the site of an old castle. We bought local ingredients and sake from a nearby supermarket and enjoyed cooking ourselves. The joy of savoring fresh vegetables and meat we personally selected is one of the unique pleasures of having the entire place to ourselves. The facility provided plenty of dishes and glasses for use. For breakfast, complimentary homemade crispy green peppers, eggplants, rice, and more were offered. The kitchen and bathroom facilities are modern and comfortable. The surroundings are incredibly quiet, with sounds of insects at night and birds in the morning creating a nostalgic countryside atmosphere. As someone who grew up in an old countryside house myself, I found many inspiring ideas for renovations here. The owner was kind throughout our stay while maintaining just the right amount of distance for comfort. This is a place that makes you want to return every year. Thank you very much!

A memorable accommodation experience!
We stayed as a family of four during the summer vacation. The traditional large Japanese house was truly beautiful, and the feel of the wooden floors and tatami mats was very pleasant. It was incredibly spacious, and each of us had our own room to sleep in luxury—an experience you can't have at a hotel. We enjoyed fireworks on the property, stargazing at the Milky Way, listening to frogs and birds during walks. The local ingredients we had at the barbecue were delicious, especially the pepper miso that went perfectly with rice! On our way back, we explored Hiraizumi by rental bicycle and fully enjoyed Iwate with all our senses. Thanks to the warm hospitality of the host, we felt completely relaxed and comfortable. Thank you so much! We look forward to visiting again!

Highly satisfied.
The building is a beautifully modernized arrangement of a traditional Japanese house. I chose to cook my own meals. I brought ingredients and used the kitchen, which had a countertop that also served as a table with chairs provided, making it convenient to dine there as well. The multipurpose room was spacious enough to be used as a large living room, and dining in the main hall with the traditional irori hearth would also be lovely. The facility is equipped with air conditioning, and both the bathroom and toilet feature modern amenities, ensuring great comfort. The complimentary breakfast rice was naturally dried, making it moist and delightfully chewy. The homemade green pepper miso was delicious too—I even made miso rice balls with the leftover rice for lunch! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
