    We stayed here as a ...

    We stayed here as a family of four—my husband, my mother, my son, and me. There is a supermarket called Himawari Market nearby, as well as a bakery called TRIFFLE, so we had no trouble at all even without meals included at the Accommodation. The bed sheets were soft and comfortable, and we really enjoyed staying in this log cabin with its clean wooden scent! Thank you very much. We would love to stay again!

    This time, I brought a friend for the first time, and they really loved it. Thank you again for such a wonderful stay. Thanks to you, we were able to enjoy a luxurious time with seasonal dishes and delicious local ingredients from Kiyosato. Although we had some rough spring weather, we still fully enjoyed spring in Kiyosato. We’re looking forward to visiting again.

    A cottage that makes you feel truly indulged

    I’ve stayed here many times, and every visit feels like a truly luxurious retreat. We cook with the latest appliances using bread from a delicious local bakery, fresh vegetables from the farmers’ market, wonderful cakes, and meat from a butcher. The wood-burning stove in winter is also very soothing. This time, I noticed for the first time that you can see Mt. Fuji through the trees outside the window. I’m already looking forward to my next stay.

    I’d like to stay here again.

    The Finnish log cabin was charming, and the tableware—Marimekko, Arabia, and more—was so cute and exciting! There was also a speaker, which made it easy to enjoy a different kind of stay than usual. I’d love to visit again in early summer or autumn!

    We recommend staying to enjoy your time at the accommodation!

    The Honka log house was an exceptional space. Highly recommended for trips where staying at the accommodation is the main focus rather than just a place to sleep while exploring. As an option, you can also experience a wood-burning stove. Perfect for birdwatching—you might even spot squirrels. At night, enjoy the starry sky. Within walking distance, there’s Himawari Market, which offers a great selection of thoughtful ingredients, frozen foods, and vegan or organic products—making meals hassle-free. The accommodation provided ground coffee beans and tea bags. While everything was well-prepared, as a suggestion: having Japanese tea leaves and a teapot would be appreciated since rice can be cooked here—it naturally makes you crave Japanese tea. Additionally, having a medium-sized pitcher would be very helpful for making barley tea for children’s water bottles. We’ll definitely come back!

    A space where you can stay forever

    The room is very clean, and you can relax in a quiet environment. One of my purposes was to read in front of the flickering flames of the wood stove, but I ended up just watching the flames and hardly reading at all—such a fond memory! It was so wonderful that I even made my next accommodation reservation during my stay. At the nearby Himawari Market, you can purchase fresh vegetables from Yatsugatake, rare ingredients and seasonings, as well as specialty eggs. There are knowledgeable staff members regarding wine and other alcoholic beverages, so you might find your favorite wine there. About 15 minutes away by car is Engawa's ramen shop with flavors I've never experienced before—it was incredibly delicious! For dinner courses (reservation required), from appetizers to desserts, everything is visually appealing, satisfying for your appetite, and absolutely recommended.

    A charming and cozy Nordic cottage

    I occasionally stay here, and it’s always a wonderful Nordic cottage that lets me enjoy the luxurious feeling of a highland villa. The air is crisp, the starry sky is breathtaking, and the well-maintained Room with a wood-burning stove is pure bliss. Plus, you can shop for fresh ingredients in Kiyosato and enjoy leisurely cooking at your own pace! Looking forward to my next visit!

    Feels like a private villa.

    With self check-in/out, you won't meet any staff, giving you the feeling of staying at a private villa. The interior is very clean and comfortable. The surrounding area is a quiet vacation home district with few people around. Almost everything you need is provided, including a Balmuda microwave, high-power IH stove, cooking utensils, and even plastic wrap, making cooking hassle-free. The HWAM wood stove was particularly easy to use and excellent. I would love to stay here again!

    The wood-burning stove is excellent.

    This is my second stay at this accommodation. The tableware is always so charming that it inspires me to cook. I enjoyed warming up by the wood stove and admiring the star-filled sky even under the cold night. The wood stove is truly amazing. I love Honka so much that I’m planning to build a vacation home, hoping to replicate it exactly. The stereo system also provided excellent sound quality, making for a perfect evening. I plan to visit again next year. Thank you in advance!

    The fireplace is cozy.

    As per the reviews, we had an ideal stay in the log house for three comfortable days. We especially loved the wood-burning fireplace, which created a special atmosphere with its gentle warmth and flickering flames. Thank you for kindly providing additional firewood upon request. There were convenient stores nearby to get ingredients, making cooking enjoyable. The surrounding autumn foliage was stunning, and this season is quiet and highly recommended.

    Tranquility

    The Finnish brand is mentioned in the description, and the installed appliances are all excellent. It's a great opportunity to check out the brands of appliances you might have been curious about. The only thing to note is the access road at the end, which has larger gravel and stones that require some care. A favorite soba restaurant from years ago is just 200-300 meters away, and it's delicious as well. You can enjoy moments of tranquility with only birdsong, light, and wind surrounding you.

    Forest Log Cabin

    The stay in the forest was amazing. It wasn’t a dark forest but a well-located, bright, and clean area. Each room had windows that let in sunlight and allowed plenty of fresh forest air to flow through. The scent of natural wood from the log house was delightful, and we enjoyed a wonderful night surrounded by plants, insects, and wild birds. For meals, there were various restaurants nearby; however, many were closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays, leaving fewer options. Next time, I plan to visit on other days of the week. One concern was that the linens had a noticeable scent from detergent or fabric softener which triggered allergy symptoms for our family sensitive to chemicals. Additionally, when flushing the toilet, foamy cleaning agents spread throughout the powder room area due to their chemical nature; we kept windows open during use and left quickly afterward. Similarly with dishwashing detergent—though unused—it seemed like amenities such as laundry detergents also contained substances potentially harmful to both humans and the environment. I strongly hope these could be replaced with eco-friendly alternatives that preserve this beautiful natural setting. Aside from these points, it’s an accommodation I rate highly personally! I would recommend it to anyone visiting around Yatsugatake area!

    Nordic-inspired leisure you’ve envisioned

    Stayed at the end of May. A beautiful and clean Nordic cottage nestled in the forest. We used the gas barbecue grill and wood stove for the first time, but there were clear instructions provided, so we had no trouble using them. I’d love to stay a bit longer next time. Thank you!

    It was a very lovely facility!

    We stayed here for a ski trip. The location is close to Sun Meadows Ski Resort, allowing us to fully enjoy skiing. This facility is new, very clean, spacious, and relaxing. Despite being in Kiyosato during the peak of winter, the heating worked perfectly, making it wonderfully warm and comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped with a Balmuda microwave oven, coffee maker, dishwasher, and more. After skiing, we purchased local specialties from nearby stores like Himawari Market in Kiyosato and Yamanashi and prepared meals in the kitchen to enjoy a leisurely dinner. The bathroom features charming white and blue tiles and includes a washer-dryer combo for added convenience—perfect for Multiple Night Stays. Communication with the facility staff was smooth; they were very kind and helpful throughout our stay. Thank you so much!

    It was a very comfor...

    It was a very comfortable cottage. Thanks to the season when the trees have no leaves, we could see Mt. Fuji in the distance, and the quietness, unlike everyday life, was enjoyable with fewer people around. We were worried about the cold during the midwinter period, but instead, we fully enjoyed the warmth of the wood stove. We had a relaxing time. We received quick and courteous responses to our questions before our stay, which was very helpful. We look forward to staying again.

    A property with both a good location and good taste.

    The house was even more lovely than I had seen in the photos, with well-chosen items, allowing us to spend our time very comfortably. I was impressed that the room was warm when we entered. We bought dinner at a nearby supermarket and enjoyed it in the room. The cooking utensils and tableware were all provided, which was very convenient. I thought it was very considerate to have salt, pepper, and single-use olive oil available. The coffee made with the coffee beans provided was also very delicious. The coffee enjoyed on the wood deck in the morning was exceptional. We also used the fireplace, which was very warm, and the flickering flames were soothing. The instructions for using the fireplace were clearly filed, making it easy for beginners to use. Perhaps because it was close to Christmas, there were Christmas-like decorations, and I felt the owner's sense of style. It is a property I would definitely like to repeat. Thank you very much.
