    It was a wonderful Accommodation.

The machiya-style Accommodation was wonderful. The bathroom was clean and easy to use, and the bed was fluffy, so I slept very well. The sea is nearby, and the quiet, charming streetscape made it a relaxing place to stay. The stairs were steep and a little scary, but it also added to the machiya atmosphere, which I appreciated.

    Not worth the price Accommodation

When I went to the roadside station to pick up the key, I was upset by the staff member’s attitude. At the Accommodation, noise from the neighboring room was bothersome. The Saikyo-yaki served for dinner was so hard it felt completely dried out. To make matters worse, breakfast was already plated on trays lined up at the counter before we even arrived, and everything except the rice and miso soup was cold—truly the worst breakfast. I don’t feel this is an Accommodation that IKYU should be featuring.

    It was a wonderful accommodation.

I stayed here for a solo trip this time. I stayed in the Tsuda Kura building, and it was very comfortable. It was my first time staying in a traditional Japanese storehouse, and I could truly feel the charm of Japan. The bedding and bath were so comfortable that I was deeply impressed. The yokan sweets provided were adorable and delicious. The coffee was original to the accommodation, and I heard it is sold at the roadside station, so I stopped by on my way back to purchase some. The staff at check-in were very polite, and their pride in Obama City really came through. I also participated in an activity visiting long-established shops, which was enjoyable—I highly recommend joining! This stay allowed me to experience the charm of Obama City, making me want to visit again soon. Next time, I'd like to stay in a different building within the accommodation. It turned out to be a wonderful trip—thank you very much!

    Lovely Machiya

While retaining the atmosphere of an old townhouse, it was very clean and stylish. It was a shame we could only stay for one night. We had a breakfast bento from Tobaya, and when we stopped by Tobaya during our walk around town and chatted, it was very lively, and we learned a lot. At the landlady's recommendation, we enjoyed a drink from noon at a shop known for its delicious heshiko. It's great to be able to enjoy both walking around town and dining. However, since there are no buses, we had to walk to the station to leave our luggage, which was inconvenient for travelers coming by train.
