It was an exceptional stay that exceeded expectations.
I had been intrigued by the high reviews for a long time, and I was finally able to visit. The owner's attentiveness and kindness, the comfort of the room, and its unique charm utilizing vintage elements were all exceptional. The delicious meals available for private dining were also outstanding. Having stayed at various accommodations before, this was truly a one-of-a-kind experience. I now understand why it has such high reviews and why people feel compelled to write about it even if they usually don't leave reviews. During the holiday weekend, there was an art fair in Mitarai town, making strolling around very enjoyable. I even purchased some art as a souvenir of this trip. I definitely want to visit again! My 10-year-old sons also loved the town and said they really enjoyed it! Thank you so much!

A Special Place to Return To
After watching the movie "Drive My Car" starring Hidetoshi Nishijima, I was inspired to stay at this accommodation. The unique atmosphere of Mitarai, experienced for the first time, and its rich historical charm were captivating. Among all the places in Mitarai, the exceptional time and space at "Kangetsuan Shintoyo" stood out. Not only is the building itself remarkable, but every single detail placed within it feels special. Above all, the staff and cuisine were outstanding, offering unparalleled hospitality. I can't wait to return to this extraordinary Mitarai and the exceptional "Kangetsuan Shintoyo."

An Amazing Journey!
I had the pleasure of staying at Shintoyo during my visit to the Mitarai area, a place I had always wanted to stay. The room, meals, and views were all exceptional. Especially memorable was watching the sunrise over the sparkling sea through the large window overlooking the ocean—a truly unique and unforgettable experience. The meals, featuring an abundance of fresh local fish, were absolutely delicious. A special thanks to the owner for their warm hospitality and care in every detail. Spending time in such a beautiful location surrounded by nature was incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating. I will definitely stay here again. Thank you so much!

Wonderful views and hospitality
I realized the greatness of being hosted for one group per day. First of all, the host's personality and hospitality were wonderful. The chef's dishes were not only made with good ingredients but were also creative and impressive. And the wonderful view from that Room. It was an unprecedentedly satisfying stay.
