    A stunning traditional Japanese Accommodation with breathtaking views of the Kamo River. Wonderful hospitality from the hostess.

    I love traditional Japanese houses and had been looking forward to this stay for a long time, and it turned out to be an outstanding Accommodation that far exceeded my expectations. As soon as we arrived, the hostess warmly welcomed us and carefully explained every detail of the property, which made me happy from the very start. The view from the Room—overlooking the Kamo River and pine trees—was truly charming, and I felt deeply relaxed, losing track of time. Each dish was delicious, one after another, and it was a constant delight. The location was also very convenient, so we were able to spend our time in complete comfort without any inconvenience. This has become my favorite Accommodation, and I will definitely stay again. Thank you for such a wonderful time.

    I fully enjoyed my time in Kyoto.

    The room was beautifully arranged, allowing us to enjoy the essence of Kyoto. Since we were a group of five, staying at a hotel would have meant splitting into two rooms or dealing with narrow beds, but the spacious second-floor room here was perfect. It was our first time renting an entire accommodation, and the kitchen was well-equipped, making it convenient and easy to use. Thanks to the friendly hostess who kindly answered all our questions before the trip, we felt reassured and comfortable throughout our stay. We ordered catered meals for dinner and enjoyed a relaxing evening in the room. It was so wonderful that I almost don't want it to become too popular and hard to book (laughs). We’d love to stay again during another season!

    A Summer in Kyoto

    Upon arriving at the station, a sudden thunderclap and evening shower greeted us. While thinking we might need to wait out the rain, the hostess suggested picking up some additional side dishes for dinner. She even showed us a photo of the Western-style catering bento we had ordered—what a great idea! Plus, the department store basement was cool and refreshing. We purchased some chilled dishes to complement our meal. Meanwhile, I believe the hostess was tidying up and taking care of the flooring. The hostess seemed concerned that we wouldn’t be able to enjoy sitting on the floor immediately after the rainstorm, but it was no issue at all. The charm of seeing rain-soaked floors left such a lasting impression. We also enjoyed hearing stories from her about sights visible from this accommodation: Kamo River, Shichijo Bridge, and Kiyomizu Temple’s three-story pagoda. She even showed us photos from before renovations were done—it’s clear that while preserving its historical charm, every detail has been carefully restored into a beautiful yet functional space. Even during our short one-day stay, we could feel how special this accommodation is. The catered dinner bento was truly exceptional; each dish was incredibly delicious. It was also fun deciding which plate provided in our room to use for serving our purchased chilled dishes—we even borrowed chopstick rests! For breakfast, we cycled (though walking is also an option) to a nearby café introduced on this accommodation's website. Crossing Shichijo Bridge by bike allowed us to feel Kamo River’s refreshing breeze—a unique experience only possible by bicycle! The café is not only beloved by tourists but has long been cherished by locals as well; their sandwiches and coffee were absolutely delightful. Evening showers turning into skies painted in crimson hues... frogs beginning their chorus as lights illuminated bridge railings... serene river flows... morning sunlight rising over Higashiyama—all these moments could be savored luxuriously from within this cool and elegant interior space. It truly felt like experiencing Kyoto's summer at its finest!

    A day with classmates turned out to be a wonderful time.

    A Ryokan along the Kamogawa River that you can rent entirely. This time, we stayed as a group of six, and since there were no other guests, it was okay to be a bit loud. We were able to enjoy a wonderful time until late at night. The hostess's hospitality was excellent, and all participants were very satisfied. Next time, we would like to visit during a more pleasant season.

    It's a property that makes you want to visit again.

    Within walking distance from Kyoto Station, the property faces the Kamo River, offering the best location. From the riverbed, you can enjoy the sunrise over the Kamo River and Shichijo Bridge every morning, which made me feel very luxurious. We stayed for 4 nights with 3 people, and the whole house rental provided ample space, with all necessary amenities available, allowing us to spend our time very comfortably. During our stay in late November, when it suddenly got cold, they promptly provided warm bedding, which was very helpful. The owner's attentive service and wonderful smile were very soothing. This is a property that makes you want to visit Kyoto again to meet this person and be taken care of by this property.
