  We had a very comfor...

  We had a very comfortable stay. The unit also has a bathroom, and you can use a nearby Onsen and indoor pool at a discounted rate. You can find fresh local ingredients at the nearby A-Coop, so cooking in the kitchen is also enjoyable. We even saw squirrels and deer, and an early-morning walk felt wonderful.

  As it was the summer...

  As it was the summer high season, we managed to book the only available unit for five people. However, it seemed not really designed for five guests; the extra bedding (for three people) appeared to be intended only as a temporary option, with extremely thin futons and pillows that didn’t serve their purpose, so we couldn’t sleep. Also, when you open the windows there is an amusement Facility directly in front of you, so you are fully visible; during our stay we could hardly open the blinds. You basically have to give up on the refreshing highland air and gentle sunlight/natural light. It was also disappointing that the sofa felt damp. Still, there is a washing machine and the bath is reasonably spacious, so it’s a good place if you want to stay in for the evening without eating out.

  A Luxurious Villa Retreat Space

  We stayed in the early part of the Obon holiday. The room felt luxurious and was very relaxing. The kitchen is well equipped as well. We were satisfied. We only stayed one night, but if you plan a Multiple Night Stay, please note that Forest Adventure Tateshina’s zipline is right next door, so visitors are clearly visible from the living room, dining area, and bath. From 8:00 to 17:00, it may be difficult to enjoy the view from the windows. You’ll likely either close the blinds and relax or watch the visitors having fun. You can hardly hear any voices.

  I’m glad I chose to stay here.

  It would be nice if the parking area were a bit closer. I got a splinter from the wooden stair handrail, so I’d appreciate it if it could be sanded down. The building is new and was very clean. It was even more comfortable than I expected.
