    I was very satisfied...

I was very satisfied and able to spend a relaxing time. The property felt clean overall, and the hinoki bath was wonderful. I would definitely like to stay again.

A model private rental Accommodation where you can experience history, culture, and everyday life.

We stayed at Rinsui as a group of three during cherry blossom season. From the moment we entered the Accommodation, the spacious U-shaped earthen-floor atrium felt wonderful. At check-in, everything—including important notes—was explained carefully. Right away, our middle-school daughter did a full “Dragon Quest”-style exploration of the whole house. She waved down from the second-floor corridor and was thrilled by the hinoki bath on the first floor. The table in the earthen-floor area feels like a dining room. It faces the street, but with the roll-down blinds lowered you don’t have to worry about outside eyes. We liked feeling gently connected to the town, so we kept them open except when sleeping. The rear guest room is especially outstanding. The transom panels, tokonoma alcove, and garden—every view is beautiful. The garden’s Japanese azaleas and maple leaves (and what looked like variegated senryo) along with the tasteful interior details were truly soothing. Although it’s separated from neighboring houses by a fairly high wall, there’s zero sense of being closed in. If anything, it felt like being immersed in this home’s own world. It has age to it, but it’s also very clean. You can enjoy its classic charm without feeling inconvenienced at all. I’m somewhat particular about cleanliness, but there were no issues with the kitchen. Renovations like this often end up with unavoidable drawbacks due to structural constraints, but here those have been thoughtfully turned into comfort through ingenuity. The auto-lock was especially great. It made me realize how surprisingly stressful keys can be… This would be really helpful when staying with a larger group. Check-out was also easy—just a phone call—which really highlighted the freedom of renting an entire house. Exploring town on foot is fun too: fresh-fried croquettes from the butcher shop, fish shops, local produce stores, a larger supermarket nearby; lovely Western-style buildings; and neighborhood cats—you can fully enjoy Utazu. A couple of notes: some shops close around 4:00 PM. Also, there are no seasonings or cooking oil at all, so if you plan to cook please bring your own. Cooking utensils are fully provided. We’ve enjoyed many whole-house stays around Japan—staying as if we live there—and this one was by far our favorite. If time had allowed, we would have loved to stay longer here.

    It was very good.

Overall, I thought it was very good. Points for improvement: I would like a closet to be installed on the second floor as well. The closet is being used as a large linen room, but is it really necessary to store so many towels? I didn't notice the closet for hanging clothes on the first floor at all until I was about to leave. The flush of the toilet seems to be weak.
