    Summer Retreat / Workcation

    We used this place for a summer getaway and a workcation. Miyota is less crowded than Karuizawa, with Tsuruya nearby and the station within walking distance, which was very convenient. It’s an ordinary local town with few tourist attractions around, so it doesn’t really feel like a resort. The property is spacious, well equipped with amenities, and suitable for self-catering. It was much cooler than Tokyo, and we were able to spend our time quietly. Since it’s a regular house along a main road, it’s best not to expect the atmosphere of a lodge or villa surrounded by nature.

    A Winter Getaway in Miyadai for Couples

    This was our second stay. We enjoyed the wood-burning stove and were happy to return. The snow was beautiful.

    Feel like a private villa getaway - one night wasn't enough!

    Enjoyed a villa-like experience, one night was not enough to fully appreciate it. There is a supermarket and butcher nearby, so getting ingredients was no problem. However, the Teflon-coated pots were quite worn out, so I decided not to use them. As a result, I had to take back the ingredients I planned to cook with the pots. The BBQ set plate we requested as an option was also similarly worn out, and since there were no alternatives available, we used it this time. It would be nice if there were dimmable lights in the bedroom because it gets completely dark when turning off the room lights. Perhaps there might have been something like spotlights in the bedroom that I didn’t notice? If so, my apologies for missing that. Overall, being able to stay at such an accommodation for this price is greatly appreciated. The staff at the front desk were very polite and pleasant. I’d love to stay for several nights next time! Thank you very much!

    Although it is far from Karuizawa Station...

    It's quite far to come from Tokyo by Shinkansen without a rental car, but the Facility was a wonderful home with a tatami room, four beds, and a well-equipped kitchen. The price for two nights was appreciated. I was so reluctant to leave that I wanted to extend my stay. The only thing I wished for was an induction cooker, perhaps... (laughs). Thank you for letting us have a very comfortable stay. And... I never expected there to be such a delicious bakery so close by. We were happy to enjoy the beautiful view of Mt. Asama without any power lines in the way, with the stunning Mt. Asama as a backdrop.

    Quiet Land

    I stayed for one night. I think I was able to relax in the quiet area of West Karuizawa. It's very convenient as there is a local supermarket, Tsuruya, nearby, and a popular bakery within walking distance. However, since it is essentially a villa, you shouldn't expect much from the quality of the beds.
