    Relax and unwind in a private house.

    Perhaps because of the rain, the lobby was extremely crowded at check-in at 3:00 PM, but the staff—both younger team members and international staff—were very kind and well trained. They stored our luggage and guided us to a separate room where we could sit and wait. Our Room was a detached villa with a private Onsen, truly like having our own house, so we could relax in complete comfort. It felt like a Showa-era building—old, but it didn’t bother me. With the living room and bedroom separated, it felt like living at home: we could unwind at our own pace and soak in the Onsen whenever we wanted, which made for a truly luxurious stay. The Onsen bath had two options—an indoor bath and an open-air bath—and both were free-flowing from the source. We were so satisfied with the baths in our Room that we didn’t use the large public bath. Meals require walking to the main building, but on a clear day you can also enjoy the greenery in the garden along the way. Dinner was Japanese cuisine with shabu-shabu as the main dish, and I felt the portion size was just right for someone around 60. We loved staying in this detached villa and would like to return.

    It was a truly wonde...

    It was a truly wonderful Ryokan with a nostalgic, traditional atmosphere while still feeling very clean. I especially recommend the private open-air bath in the guest room—it was incredibly relaxing. We had both breakfast and dinner, and they were excellent in both taste and portion size. Also, even though it was last-minute, I asked on the day for a surprise plate for my wife, and they kindly arranged it for us. I don’t usually return to the same place when traveling, but this is somewhere I’d like to visit again next year. Highly recommended.

    Thank you to everyone for your warm hospitality.

    Both Japanese and international guests were able to enjoy a wonderful two-day stay thanks to your highly hospitable staff. A few points we would like to share: 1. The clock in the men’s large public bath has stopped. 2. The shared washlet toilets (on the 1st floor and in front of the men’s bath) are not working. This is a historic Facility, but we hope you will continue to pay close attention to updating equipment.

    This is just too awful.

    As it’s run by Fujita Kanko, I expected it to be well managed, but it was terrible. We checked in around dinner time, but no one came out to help carry our luggage. The wagyu at dinner was such poor quality that I wondered if it was really wagyu. At breakfast, we waited about 40 minutes after going to the restaurant and were not even noticed. The proprietress also started with excuses—saying she had been serving other guests—before apologizing. Considering the price is far from cheap, it’s very disappointing that the hospitality is lacking. This stay was for an important friend visiting from overseas, but they were very upset and didn’t seem to enjoy the stay at all. It’s a shame, because the building has a wonderful atmosphere. I think this comes down to a lack of capability on the part of the proprietress.
