I visited on a Sunda...
I visited on a Sunday and Monday in late June to unwind from work. First of all, the front desk staff were very courteous and made a great impression. They told me about the “Bamboo Shoot Festival” being held that day and recommended some Onsen, so I was able to enjoy myself all day. Also, the breakfast made with local ingredients was delicious. I’ll be back when I need to recharge again!

I can’t wait to stay here again!
Although I stayed for only one night, I was completely satisfied with everything. All of the staff were very pleasant, and the Room was clean and comfortable—I immediately wanted to come back and stay again. The dinner and breakfast at the counter were especially outstanding! You can watch the cooking right in front of you, and you can really feel the care that goes into each dish. I’ve already recommended it to my friends.

I stayed for one nig...
I stayed for one night at the end of July. Since it was the off-season, I appreciated being able to park for free, but the parking signage was hard to understand. Despite the exterior, once inside the building it felt very stylish and relaxing. It was very quiet, and I was able to unwind. I only had breakfast, but as soon as I entered the dining room, there was a wonderful aroma. Each dish was prepared with great care, and everything was delicious. The rice cooked in a clay pot and the miso soup made with local miso were truly excellent. They even emailed me about an item I left behind and handled everything very thoughtfully. I would like to stay here again when I come back.

Nozawa Onsen is also charming in spring and summer — I’d love to come back in another season.
Nozawa Onsen is famous for skiing, but in fact the spring, summer, and autumn seasons may be when mont truly shines. Unfortunately, it was too windy to ski, but taking my time exploring the village more than made up for it—I was completely satisfied. I stayed for two nights this time and became a total fan. First of all, the space is incredible—this is a renovated century-old building. The old pillars remain, while the lighting and sense of openness are perfectly balanced. The moment I stepped into my Room, I thought, “Ah—this is a place where I could spend hours.” I also loved that each guest Room has different art and a different layout (I even got to see my friend’s Room who stayed with me). Dinner centers around cooking over a wood fire. Surrounded by the crackling sounds and aroma of burning logs, one seasonal Shinshu ingredient after another arrives at the table. The way they bring out each ingredient’s flavor is spot on. The mushroom soup in particular was outstanding. Breakfast is Japanese-style as well, with Nozawana greens and miso flavors that hit just right—I didn’t get tired of it even two mornings in a row. The service also feels perfectly calibrated: they appear right when you want to ask something, and quietly give you space when you want time alone. You can feel the staff’s love for this area shining through—and it shapes the atmosphere of the entire Accommodation. Nozawa Onsen itself is genuinely fun even without snow. Touring 13 public baths, soaking your feet at Ogama’s footbath, hiking through beech forests, visiting Hokuryuko Lake—one night isn’t enough, so I recommend staying two nights at a relaxed pace. Day one: stroll around the village, enjoy dinner, then visit an outdoor bath. Day two: take a short trip farther out for another walk, soak again—and savor one more night by the wood fire. That feels just right. I’ll be back in another season. This is an Accommodation I’ll want to return to again and again.

Japan Pride in Nozawa Onsen, where 90% of visitors are from Europe and North America
Not Niseko, not Hakuba, and not Myoko—Nozawa Onsen is the cutting edge of inbound travel that makes you wonder, “Is this really Japan?” On winter nights, you’ll see almost only Western visitors, yet the buildings and streetscape feel straight out of the Showa era. Inside the restaurant, a wood-fire gastronomy experience showcases Shinshu ingredients with exceptional skill. The drink pairings are remarkably precise—proof of Shinshu gastronomy at its best.

It was a wonderful experience.
With an exterior design that blends seamlessly into the local area, the interior—beautifully reflecting the unique character of Nozawa Onsen—was equally impressive, and we were able to spend a relaxing time surrounded by high-quality furnishings. Breakfast also featured local ingredients, allowing us to enjoy a wholesome and healthy meal. As it was the off-season, we were able to visit the area’s Onsen at a very leisurely pace. This is an Accommodation we would definitely like to stay at again.

Attentive service, thoughtfully designed interiors, and carefully prepared cuisine
The Hotel’s interior reflected meticulous attention to detail, with furniture and art beautifully integrated to create a comfortable, welcoming space. The amenities were high quality and conveyed a strong connection to the local area. In addition, the Hotel staff provided exceptionally courteous service, and everything from the check-in explanation to guidance around town was very clear and easy to understand. Above all, the food was outstanding. The wood-fired French cuisine made generous use of local ingredients, offering not only excellent flavors but also beautiful presentation.

It had a stylish, relaxing atmosphere!
It was a stylish Room with a calm atmosphere. There was a glass fireplace, making it a space that warmed both body and mind. Bags and clothing were also provided so guests could enjoy the town’s Onsen, and we made use of them. We booked breakfast only. It was a delicious breakfast with great attention to detail. The meat was quite rich for the morning, but it had a pleasant sweetness and was very satisfying. We would definitely like to stay again.

I stayed here during a business trip to Nozawa Onsen Village. The stylish Room was very relaxing, and I really appreciated the complimentary water in the refrigerator! This time I booked a stay with breakfast, and it was delicious—highly recommended if you want to experience the atmosphere of Nozawa Onsen Village. It’s an Accommodation I’d definitely like to stay at again!

The best in Nozawa Onsen.
This Hotel in Nozawa Onsen offered an exceptionally high-quality stay. The space and interior design are thoughtfully crafted down to the smallest details, and the overall level of finish is truly impressive. The meals were also highly satisfying and one of the highlights of our stay. We had breakfast only this time, but next time we would love to make a Reservation for the French dinner.

A Hotel with high-quality meals, Facilities, and service
A Hotel in Toyosato with easy access to anywhere in the village. Parking is convenient at Yokoochi and Shinden. Original features such as pillars and staircases have been preserved, creating a warm space with a refined interior. The drying room is partitioned so you won’t interfere with other guests’ boards, and you can keep small items in the same area as well. Another plus is direct access from the drying room to your guest room after check-in. Security is also excellent with an electronic key and auto-lock system. Meals feature vibrant dishes made with local ingredients. You can enjoy chatting with the chef and staff while dining. Dinner and breakfast at the counter are especially recommended, offering opportunities to connect with other guests and local residents. For public baths, Kamidera-yu and Kumanotearai-yu are recommended for their relatively easy-to-use facilities.
