    I stayed here becaus...

    I stayed here because it is close to Chuson-ji Temple. Even considering that it has only recently been renovated, the entire property—including the Room, Onsen, and shared areas—was kept very clean, and I had a very comfortable stay. The meals were excellent, and I was very satisfied to enjoy local specialties such as Maesawa beef steak, Sanriku seafood, Hatto soup, and Horohoro-zuke pickles. I would love to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

    It was a bit disappointing.

    When I was looking for Accommodation in Hiraizumi, this place had very high ratings, so I chose to stay here. I heard the building had been renovated, and it did look very impressive. There were Reviews saying the hilltop location offers a great view, so I stayed in a top-floor suite Room. It’s true that the entire wall is windows and you can overlook the townscape, so the view was wonderful; however, the windows were dirty—every window was stained—so it really spoiled what should have been a great view. My luggage was quite heavy, and as I was recovering from gynecological surgery, I borrowed a cart on arrival and took my bags to the Room. But when leaving, even though there were two staff at the front desk and no other guests checking out, no one offered to help carry my luggage to my car. The meals were thoughtfully prepared in many ways and tasted great. The private Onsen bath in the Room was extremely hot, and I had to add a lot of tap water before I could get in, which felt wasteful. The second time, I filled it with Onsen water first and waited hours for it to cool down before bathing. Also, I would have liked a shower cap included with the amenities.

    The relaxing rural view from the Room was very memorable. I was also satisfied with the meals and the bath. It would be perfect if there were a Shuttle Service from Hiraizumi Station.

    We had a very comfor...

    We had a very comfortable stay. The Accommodation is on a hill, and the panoramic view of fresh spring greenery was amazing. The building was very clean, perhaps recently renovated. The staff greeted us with smiles and were very pleasant. The coffee server service in the lobby was also nice. The Room was clean and stylish, which we liked. However, the floor chair was a bit difficult to use. The bath was uncrowded and clean, and the water felt great—my skin became so smooth. My husband did mention that the razor wasn’t very good, though. For dinner, we upgraded to the Maezawa beef steak—it was truly delicious and we were impressed. It was Japanese cuisine just to our taste, and everything was excellent. Breakfast was also delicious across the board; we even had seconds of rice, and the milk was especially tasty. It was an outstanding Accommodation.

    A clean and comfortable Hotel

    This was my first stay. The location is convenient for sightseeing, yet it is very quiet, with beautiful views and the sounds of wild birds clearly audible. The meals and the Onsen were also very satisfying. Thanks to this, I was able to make wonderful memories in Hiraizumi.

    Hiraizumi After a Long Time

    This was my first stay here. It is on a hill, and next door is a museum in a currently closed castle; the exterior has a similar color tone. It feels like a Business Hotel, but the lobby is spacious and the staff are all efficient and very polite. The large public bath had an open window, so it was cold. For the bath in the Room, you fill it with hot water yourself; it is not free-flowing hot spring water, which was disappointing. The Room was bright and quiet. The meals were very delicious with lots of variety to enjoy, and the tableware was lovely. It was my first time trying cutlassfish takikomi rice. There was plenty of Maesawa beef steak, tender and delicious. The dining quality is high. Thank you for rearranging the placement of chopsticks, spoons, etc. to suit left-handed use from partway through dinner through breakfast. This kind of thoughtful care makes me happy and makes me want to return. It’s a shame that only zori sandals are available for indoor use in the building. They are hard to wear with socks.

    A pleasant surprise

    Located in a quiet yet pleasant area. The building, rooms, and facilities have been newly renovated and are neat and clean. The staff are very helpful and genuinely attentive. The meals show the chef’s care and craftsmanship, making the most of each ingredient. Even without luxury ingredients, the dishes look and taste excellent—better than many other onsen hotels that charge higher prices. The only point of uncertainty was the in-room bath, as I was not sure whether it uses natural hot spring water. Overall, the stay was surprisingly satisfying, especially considering the reasonable price.

    Forest Living

    While the dinner itself was good, the next dish was served while we were still eating the previous one. A properly paced, full kaiseki course ended in just one hour. The chair-like floor seat placed in the Room was not practical to use, so we had no choice but to lie down on the bed.

    A Heartwarming Accommodation

    The Room was new and very clean, and we were satisfied with both the in-room Onsen and the large public bath. What impressed us most was the staff’s hospitality—when we asked about transportation to sightseeing spots, they even called the transit provider to confirm for us. Their kindness truly moved us. This is a wonderful Accommodation with thoughtful attention to detail, and we would love to visit again.

    The room and facility were clean and well-maintained, the Onsen had a smooth water quality, and details like the cypress bathtub and wooden tubs were thoughtfully prepared. The staff provided excellent service, the meals, including Maesawa beef, were delicious, and the sake tasting was exceptional.

    The cleanliness was excellent, and the staff were very attentive. The meals were satisfying and filling! The bath was clean, with a great view, making it a very pleasant experience. However, I wish I could have enjoyed the Maesawa beef at dinner a bit earlier.

    Located on a hill, the sunrise was beautiful. The Room's bath was spacious and nice. There was plenty of food, which felt a bit too much for us seniors. However, we had a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

    The meals are excellent!

    The exterior was stunning! Upon entering, there was a spacious and pleasant lobby. The Room, as well as the entire building, felt new and comfortable. The meals were also fantastic! Not only were they delicious, but they were also visually beautiful! There was so much food that it was hard to finish everything. However, the overall design of the building is simple. While the bath is comfortable, it is also quite simple. The shop seemed to have a limited selection of items.
