  First solo trip

  I usually stay with my family, but this time I tried a solo trip for the first time. I chose this Hotel because the women-only dormitory felt safe, and the value was amazing: unlimited alcohol and soft drinks, a triple gelato, a delicious pasta dinner, plus access to the lounge and baths at the neighboring Suizantei… it was perfect (the sauna at Exclamation Hotel was great too). The next day, I switched breakfast to lunch and enjoyed it at Shokudo Ichi, then finished with an Onsen soak in Koganeyu! What’s more, staying here comes with a Reservation slot for “Morino Hyakunichi Gori,” so I could enjoy it without waiting. This was also my first time hitting the jackpot in the lucky locker lottery—I even received a commemorative Kyujitsuyu mug cup and was truly moved. The Hotel staff were all very kind, so I felt comfortable throughout my stay. A solo trip at Exclamation Hotel might become addictive—I’ll be back!

  Everything was satisfactory.

  I stayed for two nights. True to its name, Holiday Building, it was a wonderful time and space where I could step away from everyday life and spend a quiet, relaxed, elegant stay within the Hotel Facility. I would like to stay again.

  Wonderful facilities

  I had been really looking forward to staying here since the opening. The Facility and amenities were excellent. For dinner, we chose Suizantei; we could use the Suizantei lounge before and after dinner, as well as in the morning, with complimentary light snacks, sweets, and drinks—wonderful, thank you. For breakfast, we went to my favorite restaurant, Shokudo Ichi. As always, it was delicious, and the staff were wonderful—it was very relaxing. We also enjoyed a massage at Koganeyu Onsen before heading home.

  We had an amazing two-night stay that exceeded our expectations.

  We had a relaxing two-night stay. In addition to the in-room bath, the large public bath on the second floor, half-body baths, sauna, and more were all very well equipped. There were also various spaces to unwind and complimentary drinks, and we thoroughly enjoyed the delicious dinner. Since my birthday happened to fall on the first night, I mentioned it in passing, and at dinner they brought a lovely plate with “Happy Birthday” written on it and took photos for us. It made me very happy and became a memorable birthday. Thank you very much. I would love to stay again and relax. Thank you very much.

  Perfect for solo female travelers

  About Holiday Building: I was traveling solo, so I stayed in the dormitory. It was spacious enough, and you can see the lounge from the window—at night, you can even watch movies. The lounge offers free drinks and was very satisfying, but it got quite crowded in the afternoon because many day-use guests were there. For dinner, any pasta on the menu is included. It also came with small side dishes and ginger rice, and I left feeling very full. A triple gelato is included as well, but I was too full, so I ordered it later. Being able to request it separately was really helpful. About the neighboring Ryokan: The open-air bath is highly recommended—the Japanese-style garden is beautiful. In the lounge next to the bath area, sweets were also served during tea time. For breakfast, I chose the Japanese set breakfast at the neighboring Ryokan. With a half-buffet plus sashimi and grilled fish, it was very filling. The breakfast venue only offers Japanese food, but there was bread and coffee service in the lounge, which I enjoyed after my meal. Overall I was very satisfied; however, the Shuttle Service bus from Sapporo filled up quite early and I couldn’t use it. Koganeyu was also quite busy, so I couldn’t use their Shuttle Service either. As a result, it was disappointing to end up waiting for a public bus in the cold. If you want to use the Shuttle Service bus, I recommend making your Reservation early.

  Crystal Grand Piano

  I was satisfied with the accommodation. A unique holiday building that can cater to various needs like never before. I think it's quite good. One thing that surprised me was that the KAWAI crystal grand piano, which used to be in the event hall of Furano Hotel (closed this year), has been relocated to this hotel's lounge and is available for visitors to play freely, much like street pianos found in various places. This piano is an extremely valuable instrument worth over 10 million yen. Generally, pianos placed as street pianos are worth around a few hundred thousand yen. While price isn't everything, as someone who works in music, I felt it was unfortunate to see such a piano—whose true value shines when played by professionals at concerts—being treated as a toy for visitors. While it is ultimately up to the owner’s discretion, I wonder if there could be a way for this piano's true value to be better appreciated?

  Thank you for staying with us. We appreciate your feedback on the Crystal Grand Piano relocated from Furano Hotel, especially from your professional perspective in music. We understand your sentiment that it may feel like it has become a "toy." Our intention was to give this piano, which had fulfilled its role at the closed hotel, a new life in a place where many people could interact with it again. While having professionals perform on it in a concert hall might be ideal, we believe there is also value in providing an opportunity for those touching a grand piano for the first time or playing after a long time to experience such an excellent instrument.
