A Large Onsen Hotel from the Showa Era
While the building feels old, it was carefully renovated a few years ago and the furniture is new, so I had a very comfortable stay. There is a large garden with a river running through the center, and fireflies were fluttering at night. I stayed in a twin Room with beds set in a spacious Japanese-style Room overlooking the beautiful greenery of tall trees in the garden, but I think the Room would be even more comfortable with a bit more thought put into the bed layout. As it is said to be Ishikawa’s oldest Onsen, the water quality was excellent with no chlorine smell. Since I stayed on a Sunday, I was able to use it slowly and comfortably. I booked a breakfast-only Plan, but it was an ordinary breakfast without much that stood out. Since there is no coffee service in the Room, I asked if I could take the coffee from the breakfast drink service back to my Room, but I was told that wasn’t possible. It was very disappointing that there were no takeout drinks available to enjoy in either the spacious lobby overlooking the garden or in my Room during such a lovely morning time.

Both the host and the bath were great.
Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, thanks to the very kind staff. There was too much food at dinner, so I couldn’t finish it. The bath was also very nice. I had hurt my knee, so I didn’t get to walk around the famous garden, but I was able to relax in the Room. There were also USB ports by the bed.

So glad we came!
The Reviews were mixed, and I was very anxious after seeing some terrible ones, but I really liked the Room with the bed. The meal service went smoothly, and the abalone sashimi was very delicious. My 88-year-old mother enjoyed it as well. If I had to say something, it would have been nicer if the fried dishes had more color, and the portions were a little large—something a bit simpler might have been fine too. Other than that, we were satisfied with the food. The bath facilities were great as well; both the hot stone spa and sauna were at comfortable temperatures, and we felt refreshed. We would definitely like to visit again. Thank you very much.

The Onsen is great, but...
The large public bath is spacious for the number of guests, and it includes a sauna, allowing for a relaxing experience. However, it is disappointing that the semi-open-air bath in the room uses heated water instead of Onsen water. As for the meals, it's hard to tell what the main dish is... It feels quite ordinary. Since I stayed at a more affordable accommodation in Awara Onsen the day before and enjoyed better cuisine there, this was somewhat disappointing. The private open-air bath in that room also used Onsen water, which made me feel even more aware of the price difference here. What stood out to me was that while staff members were friendly with smiles and the facility itself was clean and satisfactory, there seemed to be something lacking in terms of service quality. The lobby felt like just an appearance—more akin to a Business Hotel—which left it deserted and lonely. It's such a waste. Perhaps this reflects HIS's management style relying heavily on hardware rather than service?

The satisfaction wit...
The satisfaction with the cuisine and Onsen, as well as the cleanliness of the Ryokan, was excellent, but what impressed me the most was the staff's dedication to service. I was able to enjoy a blissful moment away from my hectic daily life. I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

Unexpectedly...
The accommodation was chosen due to its high review ratings and the attractive, clean appearance of the facility in photos. However, on the day of arrival, it felt like the operation was focused on energy-saving measures. The bar and tea room on the first floor seemed more like they were just placed there rather than being available for hospitality purposes, which could have left a different impression if utilized better. The meals were delicious and enjoyable.

Even though it was a special 60th birthday gift...
This trip was planned as a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of my parents' 60th birthday, but it turned into an unforgettable unpleasant experience due to the extremely unsanitary conditions and the Ryokan's utterly inadequate response after issues arose. 1. Serious Issues During Our Stay (1) Unsanitary Conditions in the Initial Room Multiple stink bugs were found in the first room we were shown to. Despite it being a special occasion, we felt uncomfortable and unsettled, so we requested a room change. (2) Recurrence of Issues in the Second Room Even in the second room, similar stink bugs were discovered. My parents spent the night worrying about insects and could not rest properly, returning home feeling unwell. There was no sincere apology offered by checkout time. (3) Lack of Communication and Measures by Ryokan Staff The shuttle service driver informed us that "other guests on this floor had reported similar issues recently." Despite previous complaints, no preventive measures had been taken beforehand. We will never use this Ryokan again. We ended up arranging another trip as compensation, doubling our time, effort, and expenses.

Well-equipped Onsen facilities
- There is no luxurious Ryokan-style welcome or guidance to the room, but we didn’t mind. We assumed it might be due to a shortage of staff. - This time, we stayed as a group of five. The room size was just right. - The garden was beautiful, and the Onsen was spacious and not crowded, which was great. - Meals were not buffet-style, so we could sit and enjoy them at our own pace. The portions were quite large; however, the meat grilled on the ceramic plate ended up being more steamed due to moisture from the vegetables—this part wasn’t ideal. Above all, the serving staff worked efficiently and provided excellent service. Thank you for your hospitality!

The meals were absolutely delicious.
The staff provided excellent service. The Room was spacious and comfortable. The bed sheets were clean and pleasant. The snacks provided in the Room were delicious. The front desk lady welcomed us warmly, and the person in charge of our meals was very kind, making our experience enjoyable. All the dishes were delicious, and although they offered more rice, we were already full and completely satisfied. Breakfast was also tasty, enjoyed leisurely in a private room. The coffee after the meal was delightful as well. The large public bath and changing area are spacious. There is also a sauna and stone spa for an enjoyable experience. Amenities are well-prepared too.

The room was spacious and clean after renovation. The hallway and inside the elevator had a musty smell. Meals, both breakfast and dinner, were delicious. Service at the front desk was mediocre, but the staff at the dining area provided heartfelt hospitality. The management of trees and grass on the premises seems challenging. My stay at Tsujinoya...
My stay at Tsujinoya was incredibly comfortable and memorable. The room was spacious, allowing me to relax fully. There was also a lush garden large enough for a pleasant stroll, where I could enjoy the seasonal plants. The Onsen included not only indoor and outdoor baths but also a stone sauna, which provided a perfect detox for both body and mind. After bathing, I felt refreshed using the massage chair—truly satisfying! The meals featured many delicious seafood dishes typical of the Hokuriku region. The tableware designs were charming, making the presentation enjoyable as well. The staff were very friendly and offered warm hospitality while sharing local stories with us. My time at Tsujinoya became an unforgettable experience in my heart—thank you so much!

I was really looking...
I was really looking forward to my stay, so I checked in at 3:00 PM! First, I took a stroll in the courtyard and spent about 30-40 minutes enjoying its charming atmosphere. I planned to take a bath before dinner, but the spacious bathhouse, sauna, and outdoor relaxation area surrounded by nature were so amazing that I ended up spending over two hours there! Since the baths change depending on the time of day, I woke up early the next morning to enjoy the stone sauna bath. It had a completely different ambiance with many open-air baths including a Goemon-style bath. Waking up early was definitely worth it! The meals were served in private rooms with great attention to detail for each dish. The private setting allowed me to fully enjoy my meal without any distractions—highly recommend trying their crab dishes! The staff's guidance was also very polite and helpful. This place is perfect for a relaxing getaway! I would love to visit again!

The garden and dining are excellent.
I stayed for one night. The lobby, Room, and bath all offered views of the garden, and the overall design was cohesive and comfortable throughout the Hotel. The bath had excellent water quality as expected, and the stone sauna provided a very relaxing experience. Meals were served in a private Room for both dinner and breakfast, featuring a wide variety of dishes including sashimi (such as blackthroat seaperch) and stuffed crab shells, all of which were incredibly delicious. Breakfast also offered an extensive selection with diverse options like Kaga-style oden. The only regret was arriving in the evening and missing out on a stroll through the garden. I look forward to enjoying it next time!

Well-equipped bath facilities
The entire accommodation was very clean after the renovation. The nighttime garden bath was wonderful. The pot baths, flower-shaped jet bath, and Kutani ware wall were delightful. I felt relaxed in the massage chair in the powder room. For dinner, the sashimi and steamed clams with sake were delicious, and the vinegared king crab dish was luxurious! The menu with illustrations by the head chef was also lovely. Breakfast featured three small stoves per person, allowing us to enjoy grilled fish and soup piping hot until the end. All of the dining staff had warm smiles! It was unfortunate that we couldn't go out to the garden due to heavy rain; I hope to visit again on a sunny day!

The renovated facilities were comfortable.
The design of the lobby and the location of the garden exuded a sense of style, and the overall atmosphere conveyed a feeling of luxury. The staff's attentive yet unobtrusive service left a pleasant impression. (The manga available during free time before and after meals was very popular with my family.) It was a wonderful accommodation with thoughtful hospitality.
The courtyard visible from the lobby is open for exploration, so I took a little walk. Despite the unfortunate rain, rain gear was provided. I really appreciated that there were additional menu options for children's meals during dinner. The lineup seemed perfect for kids, showing the Facility's thoughtful consideration.

A Highly Satisfying Ishikawa Trip
The modern twin room had a calm atmosphere and was very comfortable. Dinner featured my favorite crab and fresh seafood, all of which were delicious. The crab was packed with meat to the core and tasted amazing! The bath area was spacious, with facilities like a stone sauna and regular sauna, providing a relaxing space. The staff's guidance and explanations about the dishes were attentive, making it a wonderful accommodation I would love to visit again.

Spacious and tranquil, perfect for solo travelers.
Despite being during a holiday period, the facility was spacious and had a calm atmosphere. All the meals were delicious, and I thoroughly enjoyed my solo trip!

Clean, delicious, and comfortable!
The entrance lobby was stunningly beautiful and impressive! Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious, leaving us completely satisfied! The famous Onsen large bath we had been looking forward to was just as expected! After soaking, we ended up spending extra time in the massage chairs! The free Shuttle Service was also very comfortable! Thank you so much!
