    I will stay here again.

    We stayed one night in a second-floor Room starting 2026/6/6. Our group was two adults, one 2-year-old, and one Pomeranian. The Room was stylish, clean, and spacious, and the private open-air Onsen bath was more than large enough. The water temperature was easy to adjust. Even though it was June, we didn’t notice any insects, and it was wonderful to be able to bathe 24 hours a day at whatever temperature we wanted. The only reason this isn’t a full 5 stars is the lack of a view (it didn’t bother us at all at night). We were surprised to find an indoor puppy area in the Room that’s big enough for light running. Also (in a good way), even though the Facility is extremely clean, dogs are allowed to walk anywhere as long as they’re on a leash. The vanity has double sinks and is very comfortable. There’s also a front-loading washer/dryer, so staying two nights or more would be easy. The shower room is very spacious, which made bathing our 2-year-old much easier. The kitchen is well equipped with appliances and tableware for cooking, but we ate out this time. Within walking distance there are great sushi places, buffets, loco moco spots, and an infinity-style scenic footbath with amazing views. Shirarahama Beach is about a 20-minute walk from the Hotel—an excellent location. Within about 10 minutes by car are Toretore Market as well as recommended yakiniku and pizza restaurants. They offer free rental of an outdoor wagon: we loaded our 2-year-old and our Pomeranian into it and walked to Shirarahama Beach. At night we went to a buffet about a 3-minute walk from the Hotel; after our child fell asleep we enjoyed Onsen time with drinks; the next day we bought delicious bread from the attached bakery Hotel before sightseeing. Thanks to all of this, we had an amazing holiday. We will definitely return—if I had to nitpick: - I would have liked a baby guard to prevent falls (we pushed the beds together and used pillows as a barrier) - I would have preferred an enclosed toilet room (this is also why it’s not quite full marks for the Room) We’ve stayed at many pet-friendly Accommodations before, but considering location and value for money, this was by far the best. We will absolutely come back. Apparently Rooms on the third floor have ocean views—next time we’d like to stay there.

    Dog-Friendly First

    We visited to celebrate our dog’s birthday. As the Hotel name suggests, it truly feels like a Hotel for dogs—but it was also a wonderful place where we could relax and unwind. We enjoyed the Onsen, and our dog had a great time playing in the dog run, making it a very happy stay.

    Family Trip

    The room was very clean and well-maintained, making for a comfortable stay. In the morning, I enjoyed freshly baked bread from the bakery restaurant next door, which was incredibly delicious. The staff were also very kind and helpful. The bed was comfortable to sleep on, but it felt a bit small, which was slightly disappointing.

    Luxurious Hospitality for Your Beloved Dog

    Our Shiba Inu had never stayed overnight outside before, but we’re so glad their first stay was at this dog hotel. However, it might have set the bar too high for future dog-friendly accommodations. There are three types of dog runs, offering plenty of space for dogs to run around happily and play with balls. We also tried the dog spa, and it seemed incredibly relaxing—our Shiba came back looking completely blissful. There’s a bakery nearby with absolutely delicious bread! They even provided dog-friendly bread treats in the room, which our Shiba devoured happily. We stayed in a room with an open-air bath and garden—it was incredibly spacious! The Onsen was so relaxing! Both human and pet amenities were well-prepared! There’s even a washing machine, fully equipped kitchen with plates, cutlery, cutting boards, pots, a coffee maker, and a stylish toaster—everything you could need! We were truly impressed. This is an accommodation we’d love to visit again. Thank you very much!

    We chose this accommodation because of its great reputation, and it did not disappoint. It is a dog-friendly accommodation, making it ideal for guests traveling with their pets. The room's facilities were particularly impressive. Additionally, the onsen in the room was a natural hot spring with free-flowing water, providing a truly satisfying experience.

    Facilities close to ideal

    Everything was perfect, and we had a very comfortable stay. The simple and relaxing room, along with the flowing Onsen, made it truly special. There was also a space for dogs to play nearby. The staff were very accommodating. The location is extremely convenient with several restaurants in the vicinity. The kitchen is fully equipped, so you can bring your own ingredients and enjoy staying in without needing to go out. Highly recommended for a Multiple Night Stay.

    Excellent Accommodation

    I have traveled with my dog several times, but this is the first accommodation that is so comfortable and attentive. The amenities are excellent, and supplies are placed throughout the property, making it hard to believe it's a hotel where dogs can stay. The room is spacious, allowing dogs to stay stress-free and comfortably. There are multiple dog runs, and since there were few encounters with other dogs, it’s also suitable for dogs that may not get along well with others. Even without a dog, the onsen, foot baths, bakery, and other facilities make this an amazing hotel for humans as well. For such a spacious and clean room at this price point, it’s an incredible value. I will definitely come back again. Thank you very much!

    New Year's Travel

    We planned a trip with our family of four and two dogs after a long time. At the last minute of the year, we searched for a Facility where we could stay comfortably with our dogs, but there weren’t many options. Among them, we discovered Dog Hotel Shirahama and immediately made a Reservation. The Facility and all the staff were designed with a dog-first approach, allowing us to spend our time comfortably. The Room layout and furniture were stress-free for the dogs. Of course, everything was brand new, clean, and exuded a sense of cleanliness. The in-Room Onsen and the outdoor bath were spacious and very relaxing. However, I felt there were a few areas for improvement. First, the Hotel sign was hard to find, so I hope it can be made more noticeable. The dog space lacked curtains (to block sunlight), so early morning light entered the bedroom, waking both us and the dogs. Also, I felt that the carpet in the Room might not be hygienic in the long term, although I believe it is thoroughly cleaned. The refrigerator, appliances, dishwasher, and cutlery were all well-equipped, making it a great Hotel for a Multiple Night Stay to relax with our dogs. The bread from the bakery Hotel next door was also very delicious, and I regret not buying some to take home. Next time, I would like to revisit during a season with better weather. The warm words and care from the staff towards our dogs were very touching. Thank you for everything!
