    Will definitely stay again.

The free-flowing, continuously fed Onsen was wonderfully abundant, and each private bath had a calm, relaxing atmosphere. The cuisine was perfect for wine lovers, with rare wines to match. The interior design—and the lamps placed throughout—were all beautifully chosen. Right in front of the Accommodation, there is a row of cherry trees along the riverbank; I can only imagine how stunning the view must be during cherry blossom season. I won’t wait until then—I will definitely return again soon. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    Delicious Dinner

The most important thing for me when choosing an Accommodation is always the meals. This time as well, I chose Fuefukigawa because it had great reviews for its food. Dinner, made with locally sourced ingredients, was a real treat—I used to live in Yamanashi for work, but there were some ingredients I never had the chance to try. I enjoyed everything, from the taste to the presentation. The portion size felt like I could have eaten a little more, but it was just right—not overly filling.

You can soak in the Onsen and relax at a leisurely pace. The service is attentive. The Onsen is also excellent. The building is undeniably old, but it is clean. Some of the dishes feel overcomplicated and hard to understand. The ingredients and seasoning are each very tasty, but there are a few combinations that make you wonder why they were paired together. Also, the same ingredients appear repeatedly.

This is an Accommodation where you can relax and unwind.

Thank you very much for taking such good care of us during our stay. The meals reflected the season, were well balanced overall, and each dish was thoughtfully and carefully prepared using local ingredients—everything was truly delicious and enjoyable. The wine pairings you selected also left a lasting impression. The Onsen baths, each with a different atmosphere, were wonderful, and we were able to relax and feel refreshed at a leisurely pace. In addition, the proprietress and all the staff were very kind—checking road conditions in the snow and more—so we could spend a peaceful time with complete peace of mind. This is an Accommodation we would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

    Almost perfect.

The Room, Onsen (including private baths), cuisine, and hospitality were all as expected and very satisfying. I would love to visit again. If I may add one suggestion, the cheese-infused steamed egg custard served at breakfast was certainly unique but might be a dish that divides opinions (I personally didn’t enjoy it). It would be even better if there were an option to choose traditional Japanese ingredients instead.

Both the Onsen and the meals were excellent.

It was my first visit to Isawa Onsen. I enjoyed exploring the Onsen and had a wonderful time. The meals were delicious, reflecting the season and thoughtful care. Just one request... The pillow provided was too high for me, as I am petite, and it caused neck pain. Since this is such a lovely Ryokan, it would be helpful to have two options: a lower or softer pillow to choose from. I hope to visit again during cherry blossom season. The view of Mount Fuji from Shosenkyo, which was recommended to me, was also breathtaking!

    Excellent!

The meals, hot water, cleaning, private bath, staff, and room were all perfect! The dishes made with plenty of delicious seasonal local ingredients were impeccable. The custom-made tableware was also wonderful. The private bath system is practical—available if slippers are not present. With a pH of 9.1 and free-flowing hot spring water directly from the source, it’s pure luxury and happiness! True to its name, I enjoyed all five baths during my stay! Although the decor in the Hydrangea Room was lovely and satisfying, the view was slightly disappointing. Other than that, this accommodation is flawless and highly recommended. I will definitely visit again!

    Delicious Accommodation

The rooms felt a bit dated, but the overall design of the accommodation had charm and was comfortable. For dinner, we opted for a pairing course with Yamanashi wine, and both the food and wine were delicious—perfectly portioned for women. The chawanmushi with Camembert cheese was innovative and tasty. We also enjoyed multiple baths without any waiting time, making for a thoroughly satisfying experience.

    Overall

It was a very well-balanced Accommodation. The Room, cigar room, lounge, and other areas were thoroughly cleaned, making our stay very comfortable. Thank you as well for your thoughtful attention to detail. The meals were delicious, with a concept of using fresh ingredients from Yamanashi. The sashimi was exceptionally fresh. We would love to visit again.

It was a very comfortable accommodation.

It was small but very cozy, and I had a comfortable stay. I could enjoy the bath at my own pace, and the staff were very attentive. While the lack of a view due to the location was a bit disappointing, everything else was excellent.

    Highly recommended.

The reviews were great, so I decided to stay at this accommodation. The meals were incredibly delicious, and I could understand why there are guests who visit every month just to enjoy the food. Additionally, as I was leaving, a staff member noticed the coffee cup in my car and kindly offered to dispose of it for me. The hospitality throughout my stay was exceptional, and I’m glad I had the opportunity to experience staying here. Thank you very much!

An Accommodation for Adults to Relax and Unwind

The Onsen and baths were so satisfying that I wanted to rate them higher than 5. My mother, who accompanied me, enjoyed the baths the most and absolutely loved them. The meaning behind the accommodation's name, "Yumeguri Yado," became clear as we got to use several private baths. Moreover, we could enjoy the baths at our leisure without overlapping much with other guests. It was a truly relaxing experience. As for the facility, there was only one downside: no elevator. For my parent, who is 92 years old, going up and down stairs was a bit challenging. However, I would still rate the facility above 5 because everything is well-maintained—luxurious, beautiful, and impeccably clean. The meals were incredibly impressive as they incorporated all local ingredients.

    Accommodation for ultimate relaxation

We visited as a group of three friends. Thanks to the warm hospitality of the hostess and the thoughtful care from the accommodation staff, we were able to relax completely from check-in to check-out. The dinner and breakfast, made with carefully selected ingredients from Yamanashi, were perfectly portioned and absolutely delicious. You can also enjoy Yamanashi wine. Despite the number of rooms, there are plenty of baths available, so we could enjoy them without overlapping with other guests and soaked in three times during our stay. We would love to visit again!

We reviewed Isawa... The whole family was completely satisfied.

June 6th (Friday) to 7th (Saturday), we stayed for one night during a family trip. I have been a fan of Yamanashi since I was assigned to Kofu for three years about 17-18 years ago. Even back then, the fruits and wine from Ichinomiya and Katsunuma were very popular. However, when it came to Onsen, Isawa had declined, the hot springs had stopped flowing, and there were even "misrepresentation issues," leaving a less favorable impression compared to places like Fujikawaguchiko or Yumura. This time, while searching for accommodation in Yamanashi with hopes of enjoying my favorite peaches after a long time, I found your establishment. Unfortunately, due to family schedules not aligning perfectly, it was too early in the season for peaches. Nevertheless, we combined our stay with winery tours. Despite being a small accommodation, the facility was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. Above all else, the Onsen (indoor baths in the large public bath area as well as five private baths) and cuisine were outstanding. The staff's hospitality was impeccable as well; we felt truly relaxed during our stay. Each member of my family has their own preferences and usually has some feedback after trips; however this time everyone was completely satisfied and said they would love to return again! We often use various Onsen Ryokan accommodations but have never experienced such unanimous praise before. We also visited an orchard recommended on-site that day where we purchased balsamic vinegar—another delightful surprise that wasn’t planned at all! For this too we are deeply grateful. We definitely look forward to visiting again!

    Sure to visit again

This accommodation focuses on three key aspects: excellent meals, natural hot springs, and a quiet atmosphere with a limited number of rooms. Among all the accommodations I have stayed at, this was personally the best. While higher-priced places may offer more, this one truly provides top-notch value for money. Every detail is carefully attended to, making it a very comfortable stay. I will definitely return!

    First-time use

When we reported an issue with the Room, it was promptly addressed. The private open-air bath was a bit small and slightly disappointing, but the private indoor bath was highly satisfying. The meals were decent, and overall, I would rate it 4 out of 5.

    A comfortable accommodation.

We chose this accommodation for its natural free-flowing onsen and self-sourced hot spring. This was our first visit, and we selected the annex due to its limited number of 10 rooms and the appeal of the onsen. The bathing facilities include a large public bath, two private open-air baths, and two private indoor baths, offering plenty of options. The most impressive was the private indoor bath. The thoughtful design of the bathroom, skin-friendly bathtub material, convenient shower setup, and ideal bathtub height all demonstrated great attention to detail. Even among accommodations with free-flowing onsen water, it is rare to find such well-considered bathing facilities. For dinner, we chose a plan that included horse sashimi and a half bottle of wine. The horse sashimi was plentiful and delicious. The seasonal menu for April was delightful overall; however, the standout dish was Koshu Wine Beef. Breakfast consisted only of Japanese dishes; while I initially worried about salt content, I found it pleasantly mild in flavor. Both dinner and breakfast featured Mukawa rice which was exceptionally tasty. One minor drawback is the compact size of the toilet in our room—it could use some improvement. Overall, this is an accommodation I would love to visit again! Thank you very much!

Three semi-open-air baths, two private indoor baths, and a spacious public bath—all designed for relaxation. Delightful cuisine that reflects thoughtful care in every detail. Thank you very much; we look forward to visiting again.

    Roast Beef

Stayed for one night during the Peach Village Marathon. The atmosphere of the accommodation was calm, and the onsen included a private bath, allowing for a relaxing time. The meals were absolutely delicious, and even though I’m not a fan of beef, I finished the roast beef with ease. All the staff were very pleasant, making my stay truly relaxing. I look forward to visiting again during cherry blossom season!

Isawa Onsen after a long time

I stayed with my parents on this trip after attending a memorial service. We arrived in the evening, but the sign was hard to find, and we got lost. It would be helpful to have a guideboard in front. The meal was simply wonderful. The dishes incorporated plenty of seasonal ingredients, so we enjoyed them visually as well. My parents are elderly, but since the portions were small, they were able to enjoy the meal without leaving much behind. There are five private baths, each with a different style, so we enjoyed trying them all. My mother has difficulty walking, so the private bath allowed her to relax and enjoy a leisurely bath without worrying about others. I would like to visit again with my family next time.

    Good Stays Yuttari

We were able to relax in five private baths (three open-air baths) and a large public bath. Dinner was not the usual Ryokan meal, but a high-quality, well-thought-out menu. Very satisfying. The service was also very hospitable, and we would like to visit again.

This was my second stay, and it's truly an inn with delicious meals. With a small number of guest rooms, the interior is quiet and relaxing. There are several baths available, and you can enjoy them privately with your family. The inn is clean and truly satisfying. I will visit again!

A wonderful accommodation that lives up to its reputation.

All the reviews on various sites were excellent, and I was looking forward to my first trip from Osaka to Yamanashi. Upon arrival, we immediately encountered an irregular situation on our part, but they handled it without a single unpleasant expression. I was moved by their warm hospitality. The cuisine was just as good as the Japanese food I had at a Kyoto restaurant, with local ingredients and delicate seasoning that impressed me. I realized that I had been misled and brainwashed by the usual exaggerated flavors. Haha. There were many private baths, and since they only accommodate 11 groups, there was always one available, and we were able to try all of them. Nowadays, saunas are popular, but without being swayed by such trends, we enjoyed a wonderful time in a slightly hotter spring, cooling off in the breeze, and escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life in an incredibly quiet environment. The room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The entire facility was impeccably clean, and it is undoubtedly the best inn I have visited in recent years. I highly recommend it to everyone. Thank you very much!
