    Accommodation Where You Can Enjoy Excellent Fish Dishes

    This time, we stayed in a Room with an open-air bath, and the beach was very close. Bathing while listening to the sound of the waves was wonderful.

    The sea, the food, and the bath are all wonderful.

    This was my second stay, and it’s still a wonderful Ryokan. As soon as you enter the Room, you’re greeted by the sea of Munakata. You can hear the waves too—it’s truly soothing. That alone filled my heart.\n\nThe public bath that eases a tired body felt authentic and nostalgic, yet it was incredibly clean. You can even see the ocean from there.\n\nAfterward, the coffee milk at the community hall bar was amazing. Dinner with local fish was pure bliss, and for breakfast, the wakame seaweed shabu-shabu was outstanding. I enjoyed everything to the fullest.\n\nThe staff were also kind, with a lovely warm atmosphere.

    A Relaxing Trip Near the Sea

    The ocean was right in front of us, and we could always hear the sound of the waves. It was so soothing that I fell asleep feeling relaxed. The view of the sea while soaking in the bath was amazing, and this trip away from everyday life was truly wonderful. The meals were also very satisfying—the fish was fresh and delicious. Personally, I loved the selection of tea provided as amenities and was very pleased. If you continue to offer that tea, I’d want to stay again and again. It was also fun that there was a festival-style area with complimentary alcohol, snacks, and sweets. For breakfast as well, I don’t usually eat this much fish, so I enjoyed plenty and had a filling breakfast for the first time in a while. Since the baths are for guests only, there weren’t many people, so I could soak at a very relaxed pace. Thank you very much.

    A Seafood Feast You’ll Love, Guaranteed

    I enjoyed the seafood so much that I feel I won’t need fish for a while. I was very satisfied with the meals and the community-hall bar, etc. However, the separate “eat/sleep/bathe” setup is nice for a stroll when the weather is mild, but winter in Genkai is harsh. I’d like to return in a warmer season. Also, we chose an annex Room described as having “no view,” but I didn’t expect it to be a Room where you truly can’t see anything at all. Next time, I’ll be more careful about this point. For the annex Room, the service felt rather hands-off—more like “go on your own and leave on your own.” I would have appreciated a bit more attentiveness.

    The meals were luxurious.

    - I took the train to Togo Station from the airport, but there was no bus to the Ryokan and it was difficult to find a taxi, which was inconvenient. - The Room is new, but moving to the large public bath and dining area during cold seasons was tough. - The meals were very luxurious and delicious; I am satisfied. - On my way back, since it was New Year's Day, no taxis were available, but I appreciated that the Ryokan staff gave me a ride. - Thank you for providing delicious meals during New Year's holidays. I appreciate your hospitality.

    If you want to enjoy the sea of Munakata

    I chose this place hoping to feel close to the sea of Munakata. Although the weather was cloudy, I was greeted by a magnificent ocean view right in front of me—it was truly the right choice. Except for meals, I stayed in my Room because the sea was just so mesmerizing. You can even enjoy the view from the bath, so I spent time relaxing while gazing at the ocean. The Ryokan itself was comfortable and had everything I needed. Dinner was delicious and made me happy, with a wide variety of drinks available as well. Of course, the staff were wonderful too—everything felt easy and carefree. At night, I fell asleep listening to the sound of waves. It was just a one-night stay this time, but next time I'd love to stay for two nights and fully enjoy Munakata's sea again!

    Family Trip

    We visited with three generations. The children especially enjoyed the super ball scooping and lottery at the festival. The newly built bath was very clean.

    Delicious dinner

    The blend of old charm and modernity was delightful. The dinner was exceptionally delicious and truly impressive. However, the contrast in quality with breakfast was disappointing. It was a unique experience among all my stays so far. I believe a bit more effort or creativity could improve it further.

    The meals were delicious. Our child was thrilled with the super ball scooping at the festival. We talked as a family about how this became a wonderful summer vacation memory.

    Accommodation with delicious cuisine

    The cuisine was exceptional. However, this time we stayed in the new building, and despite the notice to "keep quiet after 10 PM," loud TV noise from the neighboring Room continued until around midnight, which made it difficult to sleep well.

    I booked this accomm...

    I booked this accommodation as a gift for my mother, who I deeply appreciate. I had been interested in this accommodation for months and was looking forward to it. From check-in to check-out, the staff's service was excellent. They were approachable during meal service and when using the bar. The view from the room was breathtaking, and we enjoyed the private open-air bath multiple times. Although I had heard that it was an old building and was initially concerned, everything was impeccably clean, and the interior felt new and comfortable. Every dish served during our meals was delicious, leaving us completely satisfied. We were especially amazed by the impressive sashimi platter. This experience created unforgettable memories with my mother. Thank you for providing such a wonderful stay!

    Meals, Room, Bath, Excellent

    The newly opened detached Room was beautiful and excellent. The private bath in the Room with an ocean view was also amazing. The large public bath and the view of Mt. Fuji from the bathroom were outstanding. The meals were exquisite. Thank you very much!

    We stayed for a fami...

    We stayed for a family trip with two small children. As soon as we entered the Ryokan, there was a place where we could overlook the Genkai Sea, and we were impressed by the wonderful scenery. The customer service was very polite. The food was also very delicious, but the time between dishes was very long, and the children got bored, so we let them play while eating, but there was a limit. It was disappointing that we had to wait a little for breakfast, even though we requested it at 8 o'clock. The room was clean, simple, and beautiful, but the position of the washbasin was not good and it was difficult to use. Perhaps because it was too simple, even if we wanted to boil water with a pot, the table and the place to plug in the outlet were far away, which was inconvenient. The bath attached to the room was clean, but when we heard that the large public bath was not available, our enjoyment was halved. We wanted to know this before staying.
